You should definitely watch The Dirty Dozen. If I'm flipping through the channels on tv and it's on I will most likely stop and watch it. It's a great movie.

I didn't get around to watching The Godfather and Godfather 2 until about 3 or 4 years ago even though I had the blu-rays in the collection for a long time. It wasn't until I got the 4K's that I decided to give those a watch. I still have not watched the third one though. My dad told me he has not seen any of the Godfather movies and he's almost 80 years old now. There a tons in my movie collection that I have yet to watch.

I picked up Fargo on Blu-Ray from HMV in Livingston - to the south west of Edinburgh - just before the Covid pandemic. I also have other Coen Brothers’ films on Blu-ray and one - The Hudsucker Proxy - on DVD which was bought from the retailer Music Zone - remember them? Interesting collection there, Roy. I do know that Silence of the Lambs is coming out soon on 4K and Blu-Ray from Arrow Video.

Great stuff Roy!! I absolutely loved Black Hawk Down, it’s one of the best war films from the last 25 years. The Suspiria remake is very different than the original, it’s very long and slow but I enjoyed it quite a bit.👍

The only titles cited here I'd heard of are 'Big Eyes', 'The Swimmer', and 'Mildred Pierce', with the last two the only ones I've seen (both on cable television). 'Mildred Pierce' is good campy fun, showcasing what may well be Joan Crawford's most distinctive role, while 'The Swimmer' is an intriguing and haunting picture, mysterious and situated somewhere between fantasy and psychodrama. Interesting choices Roy, The Others and The Sixth Sense among the best horror films and both with good twists. The Rock and Con Air both really fun, Con Air especially cheesy but in a good way. Haven't seen either Dunkirk, should check them out. Love Groundhog Day

If my son ever moves out I will move in there and make it a dedicated movie room. He likes his home comforts so I'm not holding my breath. Hi Roy, some great choices this week mate, The Time Machine is a fantastic movie, have you seen the Guy Pierce remake? Not as good but still a lot of fun. I watched The Burning when I was around 14 😆 yeah, it’s not too bad. Is the Betty Davis film you were trying to think of All About Eve? I thoroughly enjoy Monsters, it’s just simple story telling. Fantastic 4K gift of one the best regarded spaghetti westerns Roy. Chuck Norris is usually a guaranteed wild ride. You may know already; but She Wore a Yellow Ribbon is part of John Fords 'Cavalry Trilogy'. The others being Fort Apache[1948], and my personal favourite - Rio Grande[1950].👍

It’s about the making of Nosferatu and the hook Is that the actor who played the vampire was in fact a real vampire. It’s a pretty wild movie.

Some great stuff there Roy, (and it was only for a second I thought it surely can't be Sunday already!). I only saw The Time Machine for the first time a few months ago myself and also really liked it. It has that classic sci fi flavour to it which I always enjoy. Barking Dogs Never Bite I also loved which has a young Bae Doona, and plenty of dark comedy. Definitely one I should re-visit as it's been ages since I saw it. I'm keen to check out The Old Maid now. Like yourself I feel like I haven't seen anywhere near enough of Bette Davis as she is always fantastic, so I might need to track that one down.

The only titles cited here I'd heard of are 'Big Eyes', 'The Swimmer', and 'Mildred Pierce', with the last two the only ones I've seen (both on cable television). 'Mildred Pierce' is good campy fun, showcasing what may well be Joan Crawford's most distinctive role, while 'The Swimmer' is an intriguing and haunting picture, mysterious and situated somewhere between fantasy and psychodrama. It's a film that deliberately evokes the liminal state between waking and dreaming, and is ideal for late-night viewing.

Interesting choices Roy, The Others and The Sixth Sense among the best horror films and both with good twists. The Rock and Con Air both really fun, Con Air especially cheesy but in a good way. Haven't seen either Dunkirk, should check them out. Love Groundhog Day

If my son ever moves out I will move in there and make it a dedicated movie room. He likes his home comforts so I'm not holding my breath. Good stuff. I love Bette Davis. One of my favourite Bette Davis films is Old Acquaintance it also stars Miriam Hopkins I recommend you checking it out. It's fantastic. It's in one the box sets. I think I've got them all.

Hi Roy, some great choices this week mate, The Time Machine is a fantastic movie, have you seen the Guy Pierce remake? Not as good but still a lot of fun. I watched The Burning when I was around 14 😆 yeah, it’s not too bad. Is the Betty Davis film you were trying to think of All About Eve? I thoroughly enjoy Monsters, it’s just simple story telling. I’ve yet to check out its sequel though 🤔 nice one Roy, take care mate👍😃👍

Fantastic 4K gift of one the best regarded spaghetti westerns Roy. Chuck Norris is usually a guaranteed wild ride. You may know already; but She Wore a Yellow Ribbon is part of John Fords 'Cavalry Trilogy'. The others being Fort Apache[1948], and my personal favourite - Rio Grande[1950].👍

Great stuff, Roy, I am also looking forward to the new Nosferatu movie. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen shadow of the vampire starring John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe. It’s about the making of Nosferatu and the hook Is that the actor who played the vampire was in fact a real vampire. It’s a pretty wild movie.

Hi Roy, I have really want to watch Nosferatu. The orginal and remake, when it comes out. I wanted bought and watched Punch-Drunk Love, as per your recommendation. The girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Easily Sandler's best performance, that I've seen.
@Rhiunlol hello Ryan Nosferatu and also the 70s version are both excellent. I'm glad my recommendation landed. It's odd. James who is Sandler's biggest fan didn't like it.

Some great stuff there Roy, (and it was only for a second I thought it surely can't be Sunday already!). I only saw The Time Machine for the first time a few months ago myself and also really liked it. It has that classic sci fi flavour to it which I always enjoy. Barking Dogs Never Bite I also loved which has a young Bae Doona, and plenty of dark comedy. Definitely one I should re-visit as it's been ages since I saw it. I'm keen to check out The Old Maid now. Like yourself I feel like I haven't seen anywhere near enough of Bette Davis as she is always fantastic, so I might need to track that one down.
@goosesmovies hi Warren hope you're well. The Bette Davis set I found has 6 films and I think they're all ranked 7 plus on Imdb. If you go through her filmography on there she's got one well reviewed film after another 👌 Ah,the golden age of cinema.
