  Amazing work and detailed documentation of the process. You have to have a pretty clear vision for this kind of production value and end result. Navaja ratchet sound is classic.

  I have a dremel and a bunch of those little cutting wheels. I'm doing this. Better than paying some overseas seller 45+ dollars for it, disgusting what they charge. I will do it for free. Thanks man!

  Cool that you did this but now you dont have Phillips bits (unless you carry them separately). Remove the worthless eyeglass screwdriver and put in an awl from another leatherman

  I don’t know what your buget is but harbor freight has a 1inch belt sander that you can pick up for like $30 and I love mine. Makes so many small projects a breeze.

  I made the mistake of holding a flat piece of metal with my free hand while drilling into said metal... I'll never make that mistake again. Learn from my misfortune, & use a proper tool for the job. I was lucky enough to keep my fingers, but fly too close to the sun and eventually you'll get burnt. If that bit binds up your little t shank bit exchanger will become your little meat 🥩 grinder. Stay thirsty my friend!

  🇲🇽 I, JOAQUIN PEREZ-LOPEZ, MADE THIS EXACT KNIFE!!!!!!!!💯😎👼🏽 Dominos and Dice... 🎲 Domino = in Spanish, I dominated Dice = slice n dice 'em Because normally Spanish speakers eat spicy foods, it also has to remind one of a Chile serrano, or a pepper, or a jalapeno, etc... And the elegance of the thick and bold to slim and curved design really gives it a Spanish speaking remembrance 💯😎👼🏽🇲🇽🎲 Kind of like the 7 Spanish Angels that took another angel home ❤️‍🔥 (Me and Willie Nelson singing when I died in the Tesla warehouse and another place)

  All I can say is "Job Very Very Well Done" You're attention to detail is amazing. The mechanism of operation was awesome to say the very least. As for using what's to hand. The finished article is outstanding. Congratulations on spurring me on to make something similar. Can't wait to get started.

  Interesting idea but mod or not if you use it like a hammer the force will mess up the expensive tool rather quickly. Better to use the tool to create the proper tool for the job.

  Here is an idea I have for storing more gear on the surge or other leatherman. Embed / glue in a 3d print the long metal pocket clip. Make the 3d print the same size as the external plate of the surge, so it can rest the one on top the other. Now you have a removable plastic plate with the clip. Design the plastic plate clip in a way similar with the plastic of the victorinox (thick) and leave space for the pen, the toothpick etc. Also you can create other spaces and have more gear than a victorinox in it stored. Another way to implement it, could be on a sheet of metal instead of plastic, by shaping the metal with the dremel and create the storing space and some kind of i.e. locking sliding port. ... or you can use both metal and plastic (thin metal for the bottom and engraved epoxy on the top. This idea could be implemented also with just some screws and a thin box / case. You could just screw the case on the leatherman clip. Easy removable and with a lot of storage / multifunctional. :) Also the clip merged with some kind of heavy duty pouch / tiny bag... ;)
