Smylie with one of the great sand saves of all-time. Was getting trolled on the Smylie Kaufmann tracker for a few years as he struggled on the PGA tour. He was out in the desert in the hot sun, nothing but sand, no water, about to be in a hopeless Hell on earth situation, and now he has come back and will likely be at peace for decades as he has found a great avenue for him. It is a huge deal to go from potentially being tortured for life to finding a silver lining in the whole golf journey, and it looks like Smylie Kaufman has pulled it off. Not sure if he ever was truly miserable (had to be rough), but either way, he has the wind at his back now, and it is good to see.

Yeah, I get it it, but without the mustache he might not be Johnson Wagner anymore. I mean, would Howard Stern be Howard Stern if he shaved his head? I think not. Would Trump be Trump without bad hair, or without any hair? Johnson Wagner not in their category, and would still be a version of himself, I guess. In the end, most everyone who is capable of growing that type of mustache likely at least gives it a shot. I'm with you. Get rid of it (had to write a novel first).

Tiger didn't have a competing golf tour like LIV. Tiger faced the the best every time he played. A lot of great golfers on LIV didn't compete in Scottie's non-major tourneys.
Love the show keep it up
From the PGA standpoint, sure their seasons are looking similar. But Tiger won 3 majors. So no Scotty’s season, while as amazing as it is, does not rival’s Tiger’s 2000 season.

Sahalee is such a beautiful course. Glad the womens PGA was there. Double digits hasnt won at an event there. Amy Yang hung on for a 3 shot win. Glad for her. She has always wanted to be a major winner. Took 17 seasons for her to accomplish it. I think Brysons agent Kevin Folkaus has enjoyed this win more than Bryson. He has given the golf channel the middle finger cause he expects Golf Channel where Smylie works to kiss his butt. If you noticed Bryson hasnt sat down with Todd Lewis for a 1 on 1 interview. Kevin has picked places that will kiss his ass. I think LIV was just lucky that they had an event right after Bryson won the US Open. They are off till July 12th at Anduclia before Troon. I think Smylie and Charlie are the first to say that the Protestors and what happened with the hole location is why Scottie won. That messed with Tom Kims mind for sure. The long week didnt help. Tee times were moved up 2 hours to get the tournament in with a playoff before storms came. Thats why Smylie had the final group on Golf Channel. Scottie has 5767 pts. He basically doesnt have to play again till East Lake. Unless Rory and Xander get hot he will have #1 at East Lake.

“I think the fans aren’t really being rewarded” referring to the LIV/PGA wars. If not for LIV, Bryson’s PGA bullying and dislike would’ve continued to gather moss without him being allowed to start a KZread channel to show us who he really is. He wouldn’t have been able to get a team around him cheering him on in his bad times and showing they believe in him. He would’ve continued to be a lonely lone wolf on the PGA and we never would’ve got the guy we just saw this weekend. Leaving the PGA helped Bryson give back to the fans. So going back to your statement, Bryson this weekend is the best reward golf fans have had in years, so yes, fans are being rewarded. It’s how competition works. But don’t listen to me, listen to some guys who work for and plays for the PGA.

I enjoy getting to know the players, through this podcast. As a fan, I don't fall into the category of "fans just want players back together again". I wish the divide never would have happened. There are only a few players on LIV that I wish were back. I just don't see how the current model is sustainable.
"rory gave it away" Imagine they play the last 3 hole in the same group. Bryson drives green, rory 3 putts, bryson sticks 17 and rory over green, bryson going crazy, both par, tense last hole, bryson in far worse shape on 1/2 shots, crowd thinking rory win or playoff, rory gets close, bryson SPLASH out of bunker to 4 feet, place is now going wild, rory misses!!!, bryson sinks it..... Bryson owned Rory on the last 3 holes at a US open. Rory sinks both putts if he's leading by 4-6 strokes..
