Meat doesn’t heal it is the switch of metabolism on ketones that heals. The lack of sugar and carbs heals it is not the meat that heals!

Excellent critique! As always "in vitro" does not equal "in vivo." Also, kudos for citing both the challenges of nutraceutical molecules surviving the digestive system as well as passing through the blood brain barrier. Interestingly, some of the curcuminoids in turmeric do pass the BBB, and along with those common sense lifestyle interventions you mention, I'm curious what rigorous scientific testing of these natural compounds may show in regard to improved brain/memory function. As a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist (as well as affiliate college bio/A & P professor who loves Western medicine) I am cognizant of many natural molecules such as the aforementioned which are integral to many herbal traditions like TCM and Ayurveda. Again, super job! You seem to be a great practitioner/neurologist.

Carnivore diet cured my daily migraines, autoimmune diseases, digestive issues and skin issues. I no longer have body pains or depression and feel 20 yrs younger and way stronger now. I lost a lot of fat on this diet and gained muscle, retained muscle much easier.

I tried both vegan and carnivore diet in the past. To me a balanced diet, cutting out processed foods, processed wheat, added sugar, is still better than ANY diet alone. I do eat meat, i Just feel much better on a omnivore clean diet, basically Mediterranean diet: low red meat, favour lean meat and fish, carbs (also from grains in moderation) but only unprocessed complex ones, and lot of vegs fruits and legumes. Never a problem and health and lab tests never been better on exclusive diets be it veg or carnivore. My a1c is 4.8, ldl is below 100, no deficiencies at all (vit d high thanks to fish), CRP is 0.001, body fat at 16%, higher than average muscle mass and I'm 43.

The "drawing on the back" thing brings back great memories for me! When I would spend the night with cousins or a friend, we'd "draw" on each other's backs, and let me tell you, that is my absolute MOST favorite feeling, to this day (haven't experienced it though in decades). I'm a 54 year old, 260 pound man now...and what I'd give to get somebody to draw on my back again. LOL. Not married. Flash forward---just the other day as I'm walking in Walmart , I pass the Cards and Arts/Pinata's Birthday aisle, and reach out and run my fingers through those streamers that hang down. In fact, I ran my fingers through a bunch of streamers at a friends house last few years when hanging out, drinking with him, and his torn up Tarp is hanging down, shredded to bits, leaving long streamers of blue nylon "strings". Well that's one of my favorite things too, running those cool strands through my fingers....such a wonderful feeling. Now Flashback--when I was growing up, I slept with my older sister a lot (Scared of the dark)..and I'd "Play" with her hair. I LOVED IT. I fell asleep, and I think she liked it too, it was sooooooo comforting to me to play with hair, just running fine, silky strands of cool hair between my chubby warm fingers. I loved that sensation so much, I'm sure thats why I ran my fingers across that pinata recently and my friends shredded tarp. Just recently, on my TikTok, ASMR videos came up, and I'm like "what is this"? Now, I seek them out! Some are completely mesmerizing and enticing, addicting. Some literally put me in a trance, and I'm not sure yet what to think (some though don't do much for me). I'm very new to learing what ASMR is, but looking back, it is starting to make sense. My unique personality type, and unique biology and brain type (I'm very weird and eccentric and a loner in many other ways) makes total sense as to why I'm drawn to this kind of thing. The other night I was watching one particularly aggressive ASMR Rave type of lady using insane hand gestures in such a way that it was literally zombifying me in a trance. I broke myself free and actually got nervous, and had to become super self aware just in case I was subliminally being hypnotized by her hand triggering with all the lights and perfect hand synchrony and music beat matching. I mean It was like being on drugs, and I don't do drugs....sort of scared me. This stuff is neat, and has potential (and possibly even for negative uses, so be careful). Like I said I'm very new to this term, but now that I know it has a name, I'm going to research it more. And hope to find positive uses for it. Many times in the last week or so, I could really feel my blood pressure and stress both dropping like a rock, when I came across a good ASMR artist that I was attracted to, and that works for me. Thats a good thing. I'm betting that there's literally millions of people in this country who could be helped in several ways with their health, with a focused and adapted ASMR regimen that suited them and maybe even get off medication. Just a guess.

Magnesuim is needed for muscle function. Without it, the muscles cannot do their job. And that incudes heart function. The heart is a smooth muscle. Your muscles that move your body are striated muscles. Every muscle needs magnesium.

No stomach ache this morning and slept like a baby. Continuing today. Had steak and eggs for breakfast. It's lunch time and I feel like I have a plethora of energy but still not hungry.

There's a Korean girl, CHACHA note, who does paper collaging ASMR. I paper craft as a hobby so hearing the sounds makes me happy. I do not feel the tingling or relaxation, though. I think it's more association to something I love, rather than true effects of ASMR, since I find other ASMR irritating. At work it's just background noise that helps me focus, keeps my mood positive, and I'm not drawn to watch like a movie or TV show, or get caught up in lyrics if it's music.

Thank you so much you perfectly described how I reacted to this song and video. I am a RN and have really felt like I wasn’t good enough. I still do, I can give others grace and help letting them know how you feel is okay. I however do not allow myself the same compassion. I work in high risk OB and have worked in L&D and now in MFM I see how people come in with so much hope and within minutes it is ripped from them. Christians struggle so much and battle what they should do and how can they even think about doing anything you never considered until you are put into this position. I have sat with and listened and let them know whatever is decided God loves you and will be with you. Give yourself grace and mercy because God does and he forgives. I think so many people feel let down because they feel that loss of feeling hope or God’s presence and told just pray, just exercise, just get out God is there you will be fine. You aren’t though and you need to hear you can be upset or angry and no praying is not going to take all this away. You need to feel heard not handed out platitudes. You need skills to help you deal with all those emotions sometimes before you are able to hear God talking and before you can heal and allow yourself that grace and hope. Loved your analysis from a human being and a neurologist.

So there are zero studies/research of meat not diets, right? So how can medical experts recommend something for all people that has no control studies let alone long term analysis and statistics? What are these diets doing to one’s heart, arteries and cholesterol levels etc? This is all speculation at best. People with first hand experience and benefits of this diet on KZread proves nothing.

Quite a few people here on KZread have been noticing what appear to be cognitive problems with Donald Trump. In the interest of being “apolitical” and balanced, you should look seriously at Trump as well. He is only 2 or 3 years younger than Biden. At 81, Biden has already said he will be stepping down this year, but Trump intends be in power until he is 83 (at least!).

I am quite surprised by the statements and allegations made by Dr. Anna which I found grossly exageratted. We all know rhat Joe Biden has speach difficultes with shuttering a d perhaps it is harder for him noe to concentrate in order to avoud rhis. Apart from confusing some bames I don't recall having seen any speech whee he misquoted some recollection of events, and if then she has to mention which ones. Of course during the past 6 months we can observe physical decline where he walks much slower and ooks tired and his balance looks fragile He also cobfused names one in a while. Thats all.

A coworker years ago seems to have had these seizures. Of course, I can't know that for sure. You'd be in the middle of a conversation with her and she would just "stop listening." She'd look at you or seemingly something behind you with a blank stare. It was like she shut off. It would last maybe 15 seconds or so... Maybe longer because I wouldn't notice at first. I'd say her name one or twice & she'd "turned back on." She didn't know what I had said & didn't act confused - just picked up the conversation. I always wondered what it could be. I lost touch with her. Hope she's okay.
