Have been blessed to visit all the islands multiple times. Big Island takes it for my wife & I. The maaaaany beautiful beaches, the coffee, da poke, the sunsets, snorkeling spots, volcanoes national park, stargazing, diving with the mantas ( a must) & only on The Big Island!! Maui, Oahu & Kauai all special & beautiful & have their unique identity, The Big Island though 💙 🏝 😍 sheeeesh
Mantap selamat sore bpk dan ibu dong sekeluarga yang lagi menikmati liburan salam dari papua❤❤❤
💚
Did the day trip with a Toyota Corolla rental. No need for gas refill all day. I made a mistake of not bundling my ZipLine tour (early morning) on the same day so I ended up going to Hana again (not as long) on another day. I think the lava tube, black sand beach, and couple of the waterfalls were the highlights. Day trip can be done!
Cheap when your brothers and sisters live there
Love your content will purchase your guide. I wanted to go to Maui would you still recommend post lahaina fire
We would recommend a trip to Maui! Visitors are welcome! See our Maui Travel Update for details: thehawaiivacationguide.com/lahaina-maui-fire-update/
Going to oahu in a few weeks, never even considered getting a rental car.
Common Ground is not really a farm tour. It's a little walk in a garden followed by a $130 salad. For what you get, it's expensive even by Hawaii standards. However, it was a good salad. Maybe pre-eat? 😂
What’s the update with Lahaina?
The town is cleaning up the properties and they are recovering. We provide updates here: thehawaiivacationguide.com/lahaina-maui-fire-update/
I visited Lanai for a 2 night stay in 1989. Was much better then.
Anyone have an experience about going to Hawaii in November? Where is a good place to go?
check out this article for details: thehawaiivacationguide.com/hawaii-in-november/
Fantastic video. Lots of great ideas. Will be getting an itinerary when I go. I just need to decide if I want to go over the holidays or February.
Thanks for watching! February is excellent for peak whale season!
You don’t have to wait in line at the Gazebo Restaurant. Walk up to the front of the line and order to go. Sit at the tables by the pool or sit on the wall and watch enjoy the view.
I got a job out of the blue on Maui. Now my wife and daughter and Yorke need to wait a god offal amount of time to be here with me. Rent everywhere is expensive and now I’m paying rent in two different states for three months. What a giant pain in the ass. You would think that in 2024 there would be a quicker way of getting test results. And even after having test results being able to show them right away instead of waiting. Sounds like from being to end is minimum 3 1/2 months.
I’m going to the Big Island to meet my older sister for the 1st time.
That is wonderful! Enjoy the family reunion. Good idea to do some research first.
This looks incredible-will have to book it. Do you know if Tamura’s in Lahaina is open?
I believe it is closed. That industrial park wasn't burned down completely but many of the businesses haven't opened back up yet.
Do you have a link for the outrigger canoe tour?
Here you go! www.konaboys.com/activities/canoe/
We’re in the end stages of planning our next trip to Hawaii- Big Island only this time. Last time, we flew into Kona and out of Hilo, which worked out well since we basically stayed up north by the Waipio Valley (what a view!!), and then down in Volcano for the park visits. I’ll agree with others that a car is a must- book it early as there is a finite number of them in the island. I would also add 2 things to this list of “must-dos”- 1. If it’s your first time in Hawaii, book a luau! 2. If you live on the East Coast, be aware that you’ll spend 24hrs (on the clock) returning home. You’ll be like in a strange state of exhaustion. You need at least 1 full day to recover before attempting to go back to work. I personally take 3 days to recover. Mahalo for you videos! Erica, you have a beautiful smile!
Thank you for adding the wonderful tips! We like to do an island hop to Hilo and then fly home out of Kona. We are really falling in love with the farm tours, waterfalls, and things to do in East Hawaii.
U Guyz Rock🌴🏝️
Thanks birdman! It is always good to hear from you.
we are 4 weeks away from our trip!!! We'll be in Kauai for a few days- already realizing part of our trip will be making lists of things to do on our NEXT TRIP!!!
There is a lot to do on Kauai! Priorities are hard.
I would love to experience the farm tour! We first visited Kauai on our honeymoon almost 30 years ago. Brought our kids back when they were in junior high. I think it’s time to revisit.
Kauai is the best for a honeymoon! I'd love to be in Kauai 30 yrs ago but it still feels intimate. Enjoy planning for the next trip!
Been there done that!
Beautiful place !!!
Love Maui the most but I have been here many times and love it too!! This gorgeous, lovely video brings back amazing memories! I have 2 weeks in Kapalua and this part of Kauai coming up in July!! :-)
Have a wonderful trip in July! Wow, two weeks in Kapalua sounds lovely too!
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Thanks! I am in bliss in Kaanapali and Kapalua. I ache for the residents and store/restaurant owners in Lahaina. So sad. Tragic. I take donations and help when there.
We went to Kauai for the first time in 2023, and we loved it so much, we’re going back in 2025. Your guide was super helpful!
Glad to hear our guide worked well for your trip!!! Enjoy all our videos and newsletters until 2025!
Wow, this is amazing! Just would like to know if the dishes are plant-based. Hope they are. Anywhere I can check their menu list??
They have plant based options but it isn’t all plant based. Vegans and vegetarians go there frequently.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide That sounds wonderful! Great to know for our next trip. Thank you so much😊🌺🏄♀🌴🌈
You didn’t give very much time to the big island in this video. Is it your least favorite?
Not at all! We shared our vlog days and this last year we only did a few vlog days on the big island. See our big island playlist for some of our BI videos.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide I went through that playlist and there was some good stuff in there. I bought your big island itinerary. I also have your Oahu one. I went to Oahu last Christmas. I watched all of your Oahu videos. Your videos are very well done. Thank you for providing such such good content.
These tours are expensive. How much did you spend on these tours?
A lot! Tours are not cheap on Maui. But, we really enjoy them. Hence, we recommend doing at least one during a vacation.
Is Groupon a good place to buy the ATV+ 8 Line Zipline adventure?
Do you have any promo codes for Kapalula Zipline?
I am afraid we don't. We share all our promo codes here: thehawaiivacationguide.com/hawaii-vacation-guide-coupon-codes/
The Blue Room Cave. I went into the Blue Room once where one has to go underwater and emerge in an air pocket with only a shelf to hang onto. That might vary with the water level and is a bit scary. The water is cold.
That sounds awesome and terrifying but I'd do it too.
This is our favourite Hawaiian 🌺 Island 🏝️.
You guys are the best ❤ love your vlogs and all the tips you give. Good to know there are tours from the north shore too!
I need to win the lottery to enjoy this ❤️😊
Omg2! I’ll be there with my family next week for the first time. Can’t wait. Thanks for all the tips over the years! You two have been the best guides for my Hawaii travels over the last 6 years
Have an incredible trip next week!! Thanks for watching for so long. I’m glad we could help!
Omg ! I literally was searching for a video about this exactly! I already have traveled to Maui with your guide twice! And September will be trip 3 but we will be on Kauai the first few days specifically on the north side ! So thank you! Plus I have the kauai guide 😎
Perfect! Glad the timing worked out! Enjoy the North Shore and have a wonderful trip to Maui. They appreciate the support.
When there is a rainy season November and December is it raining all the time? Day and night? Every day? We have an opportunity to travel there but in November and December … now I am a little bit worried
Rains can be short and warm. Stick to the south shore of the forecast is a lot of rain. See our article for details thehawaiivacationguide.com/hawaii-in-november/
Is there an option for Beginners to scuba dive in Lanai? I would like to dive down to the underwater caverns.
Where can i find the schedule to the Lanai ferry?
You can find ferry info here and book tickets. Book them in advance to get the times you need: go-lanai.com/
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Thank You so much! This is actually what I was looking for.
Should i purchase the Lanai ferry tickets in advance?
What are some nice gifts to bring back from Maui?
How do you feel about Outrigger at Kanaapali Beach?
We've stayed there twice. It is a classic and a good location. Stay in their remodeled rooms.
Can you cook in the room if you have a portable induction cooktop? Or will the hotel fine us?
I’ve used Valley Isle Excursions! 4 years ago and it was a good decision. I could take photos while riding in the shuttle vehicle and they stopped frequently also. I still remember the black sand beach with the cave, so cool! They feed you breakfast at a local golf course and lunch at one of the stops, down home island food. The one negative: Auntie Sandy’s was closed! But we got good banana bread from another stand.
Where do you buy sun protected clothing?
You can buy it on Maui at a snorkel store. Buy local!
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide I got a Groupon to rent Snorkel gear for one week
I booked the Outrigger Kaanapali Beach Resort. What is it like at this resort?
My hot tip: live aloha
The Four Seasons look a lot like The White Lotus.
It is the White Lotus
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide fantastic
I haven't seen in your videos do you take your kids snorkeling? I'm wondering about how to snorkel when you have a 3 year old.
100% agreed just got back yesterday. I long to walk down that beach right now. Instead, I am back at work.
I hope you can come back soon!
