When i took the cones off my door after the cables snapped. The shaft on the left side came out of the bracket and the only way to get it in seems to be to torsion the spring. Is that correct? Seems sketchy tensioning the spring before i can even get new cones on
Hi, can you tell me what the battery cell is? I have a Paslode impulse 350/90 CT 2007 model, but I don't know what replacement battery to get. Cheers 👍
Best one yet thank you
If you blade, make shavings after you sharpen it than you know the teeth are sharp.
What?
just stop fooling around and do the trick already
If you grease the track the wheels may not turn and rub themselves flat like mine did.
Son: Can i go inside now? Dad: If you want to bang your head again, yes Love it! Thats proper dadding just like i remember when working with my dad. Awesome job all round
i used my silvel router 5 times and the motor went out, will the company send me another one?
What if the water doesn't flow through?
Tried this still not turning on
Thank you for this helpful video, Sir 🙏 I was a bit distracted, worrying balls might get away from you and disappear into one of the work bench holes. But, maybe you're a daredevil, or maybe there's a fancy catch/ramp system under the bench like a pool table, or maybe that towel is magic... 🤔☺
Hi the holes are for bench dogs but yes many things go down but never get lost
Brilliant!! Thanks very much, I've bought you a pint. 😂 I actually paid £40 last year for the same problem, no wonder I thought I had it repaired cheaply. Thanks again.
TY. Told me what I needed to know, I was worried about getting caught in a giant mouse trap because I didn't know about the retaining pin for the spring tension.
Hi I am only getting tension on the left side the right does not seem to roll up any ideas?
@dmgladden David, did you ever make a complete strip-down video for this DW988 as you mentioned at 14:20 in this video? I have one, it is not heavily used, only DIY, but today I discovered thast it will not select Hammer Mode - the ring I rotate to set the torque, will not go that last step to the Hammer symbol. Any idea if this is a common fault (and relatively easy to address) fault? Thanks, Pete.
This will sort it in most cases. It can also be a fuse in the plug, a capacitor or a problem with the auto stop function.
Yup... you're the man! Worked like a charm, and I was indeed about to go buy a new one. Things are made so cheap nowadays that I figured it just broke 😄
A beer will be lovely thank you
@@dmgladdenfollowed as instructed but the water doesn't flow through the machine to the lance hole
@@davidmacdonald4406 is it leaking? Or is the water off as there is nothing to stop the flow
@@dmgladden no its not leaking, connect hose and turn it in and water doesn't flow through the machine, does the pump have a safety shut-off? When you switch it on it heats the water that comes back out the inlet pipe when you remove the hose but there's no noise from the motor on switch on.
@@davidmacdonald4406 no should be nothing stopping the flow
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH !
Hi David, do you know if the diamond wheel has diamonds on the tapered side as well as the flat side?
Good job. Thanks for sharing. Next beer is on me..
Works - pint delivered- cheers from Switzerland
great video however you should have a stop set in place to limit the forward movement of the top alternate bevel grind for both directions. this will ensure an even grind on all your tips for symmetry.also do not rotate the blade through the grinding action but rather simply press the tip onto the grinding wheel in a straight in and out action , in until you touch your stop and then back out again. it is best to set your stop to your worst tip and then bring every tooth to the same reference indexing point.
This works. Every time I leave my machine for a while I have to follow this rigmarole. I would not recommend a Karcher machine to anyone considering buying one - over hyped.
It works !!! Thank you so mutch !
This happened to me on job today. I was fuming! I'm gonna take the thing back to Toolstation!
Hi I am tensioning mine but only the left side is tensioning the right is not spooling any ideas?
Hi I am tensioning mine but only the left side is tensioning the right is not spooling any ideas?
Thank you, it worked.
Good honest demo. Thanks for passing on the knowledge.
Fixed my K3 Follow Me! Thanks!
Thanks for the informative review. I currently have a Lidl Parkside gluegun which works OK but is semi-cordless (heats up on stand, then holds temperature for a while before you have to return to the stand). I don't use it very often as it is a pain to get onto the stand & heating. I would like to use hot glue more often as it is a useful tool, so I looked at this Stanley Fatmax. The Amazon reviews were mixed with a lot of people reporting faults but I guess most people only bother leaving reviews when they're super impressed or really dissapointed. Your review convinced me to take a punt (at £40). I hope mine works as reliably as yours has :)
Hi and thanks for the comment. One thing I have learnt since this video is in winter is that if the gun body is to cold it won't heat up at all it just keeps flashing so I just put it near a heater to warm the body, other than that I'm still very happy with it after all this time
@@dmgladden Top tip, thanks. I might keep it in the house during the winter & grab it when needed, as I tend to just leave the workshop cold & go out there in a padded boiler suit to save on the electric :) Mine arrived today & I used to to hold some hinges in place while I attached them, so already proving its worth.
Are those OX brands? I own like 10 different caulking guns at the moment. Maybe more. Ever since I learned about thrust ratios, you just need a variety of guns for different applications like at least 3.
Is there any places on the internet that give you the blade angles?
Legend, managed to get my gun working again
What is the swivel air outlet for what way do you turn it
Bingo…. I owe you a pint buddy 😊 🍺 🙏 K5 good as new🎉
Thanks mate there's a link in my comments cheers
If your predicament is that of a frayed cable loop, and your frame is set between brick pilasters that prevent cone replacement without door removal, here is a quick and easy solution that works well: It requires a short length of 2mm cable and 2 x 2mm oval wire clamps (these still clamp old 1.5mm cable effectively). NB Estimate where to cut off the frayed cable loop very carefully - you probably have 130mm or less to accommodate the new arrangement. Cut a short length of new 2mm cable - 250 to 275mm should be sufficient. Form a new loop held by one of the oval clamps - one end of the cable will need to protrude enough for it to be held by the other oval clamp, along with the cut end of the old cable. Note that manufacturers/vendors of wire clamps warn against their being used for lifting operations and typically quote 50-70% of proof load. NB Be sure to check existing cable for serviceability. NB The use of such an arrangement on both sides of the door cannot be endorsed - do so at your own risk. Thanks for an informative post that has attracted some useful comments, especially preventative maintenance using an aerosol light lubricating oil.
Excellent! My mate just gave me a K4, because it kept 'cutting out', and he had to keep turning it on and off, for it to work. I've not had the need to use it, yet, and was wondering if it had the same problem? It works, then cuts out, the a quick turn on/off and it works, again.
How to replace the spring that holds the blade.
Thankyou! This worked. Thought yet another pressure washer broken over winter & this resolved it 👍
It's a good deal a working jet Wash for just the cost of a pint, link below. Thank you and cheers
