Great video as usual. You've got a few blow double glazed units there. I guess they will be on your 'to do' list. Perhaps another video? How to swap out blown DG units. lol.

Brilliant David. I was wondering why you were using the angle brackets at first but then realised that you can't drive the fixings down from above because of the house roof overhang and gutters. Looks great and took your weight no problem, even before fixing the panels together. Will definitely be getting these for my garage roof - just need to find who will supply me. I didn't realise you were from Scotland too originally, if you don't mind me asking where are you located - North, Central or South is fine if you don't want to give your location away on here. Thanks again for your advice before on the other video!

Ah, thanks for that David, I wrote 'originally' but meant that I didn't 'initially' realise you were in Scotland because of the accent because these panels seem to be a bit easier to obtain the further south you go. I'm in Glasgow so hopefully I can obtain them at a decent price. Love your channel by the way and looking forward to Part 3 (if there is a part 3) where you trim out.

Great video and good to see the young chap working so hard. One question though. Aren't you worried that the rain will eventually find its way through the gap between where the pieces of the roof overlap each other?

Good morning. I’m replacing my conservatory roof the same way as you have done. I have. Question, is there a reason why you fixed the panels from the underside and not above, to the supporting timber against the house and not from above down into the timber. I have to work in a small depth of 400mm from the underside of my extension guttering to the top of the conservatory window units. With the length of the conservatory being 3.4m it leaves me with just about a 4 degree drop sitting on a 3” frame work around the top of the conservatory window units. Thanks and regards James

The over hang of the gutter box is about 250mm and I am up tight to it

@@dmgladden Hi. Thanks David. We just have a gutter bellow the extension tiles and a facia board at the moment. The hope is to get the 80mm / 110mm in all. Under on top of the conservatory window unit and still have a decent degree of drop over a length of 3.5 m (I think) Do you happen to know what degree of drop you have. My concern is that I may just’ about get a 4 degree. I understand from talking to the insulated panel store that this is the recommended drop.

Hi David, you and i have exchanged comments before and wanted to get in touch. I have had to postpone my plan of replacing my P-shaped conservatory roof until next year. Couldn't find a carpenter willing to assist. It will give me ample time to get myself ready to attempt it myself. My P-shaped conservatory is 5000mm (5m) long along the wall and the widest span is 3080mm (3.08m) and narrows down to 1660mm (1.66m). A few questions for you: What size (thickness/width) wood planks did you use for the lean to wall bracing, secondly to get sufficient pitch for the rain water to drain, roughly how high should this be fitted above door and window frame on the exterior wall? Lastly when measuring the lenght (5m) how much space do I need to add for the overlapping of each 1m panel?

Hi good you will have ago your self it's good fun. First when it cames to the well plate I was governed by the roof section that came with it. Pitch can be very slight to work just 25mm per meter but I went higher as I wanted the extra space inside. Over hang on the side is not needed but you can if you want for style on the run off edge it needs to be about 50mm clear to a low for the guter to work I cut back all under the top skin and capped it with a gutter board leaving 50mm out this worked very well. Hope this helps and good luck. David
