    They will try and ward off any animals from entering if they can help it, as well as reduce openings to avoid larger animals entering. Propolis itself is antimicrobial, as well as helping regulate humidity to prevent microbes in other ways.

    Hi Maddie! I'm American, and I just love the way you pronounce "geyser"! Over here, a "geezer" is something completely different! It's American slang for an old person, usually a man, as in "that old geezer!" When you first said it, I was surprised because I didn't see any old people around! 🤣

  • @maddiemoate
    @maddiemoate12 күн бұрын

    We have the same slang in the UK haha. It's just one of those words that gets pronounced differently depending on where you live.

    **A little story from me, and why I think this video is brilliant for teaching kids about renewable energy and sustainability! ** Back in 2018 I visited Laugarvatn Spa to do some filming with the BBC Earth KZread channel. Whilst I was there, I saw some of the staff baking delicious, sweet rye bread in one of their geothermal hot springs, and I found the whole process fascinating! I love it when seemingly ordinary things (like bread) are made in extraordinary ways. Especially if that way of making something is surprising and sustainable! I find processes like this a brilliant way to talk to young people about sustainability. Bread is something we all recognise, but this method of baking is weird and unusual to us. Yet, we can learn SO much about renewable energy and sustainability by being curious and finding out more. 'Geothermal Bread' became one of the stories that inspired me to write my first book 'STUFF', a collection of stories about the way everyday things can be made in exciting, eco-friendly ways! I really hope you enjoy the video and show it to the little ones in your life. It's such a fun way to get kids talking about making, renewable energy and the joy of travel!
