Welcome to my Only Farms where you'll see plenty of hardship with some 135 and suckler content thrown in for good measure. I'm farming in Co Kerry in the South West of Ireland alongside my Dad who is a full-time wheelchair user after an accident so he's the brains and I'm the brawn (kinda)

Drain repairs or renewed, lime and slurry or bedding muck and those rushes will die off. The 390, a great tractor and that is a fine example too!
I absolutely loved watching the baler work!! It's so satisfying somehow. LOL.
Its always the good ones ! I always try and keep their daughters so then you still have their genetics and also that personal link back .
Can't fault you Karen, main thing is you get stuck in and have a go, and correct any mistakes. That's all anyone can do. And the only fully independent person would be living on a desert island, so no shame getting some help here and there. I think you're doing a fine job, and have a lovely nature about you. If you get one of those extending wheel nut socket/brace/ things, you'll have no problem with wheel nuts. And after ringing calves, just check both plums are in the bag. Brilliant fun.
Thank you! 😊
Awesome result!
We got simular yield, 300 bales from ~35 acres.
Hi Karen, well, that is a bit of pressure off you, great when things go to plan and pan out :)
Great video and good job the cattle will be well full in winter
Well done Karen
Super stuff as always
You are familiar with the safety rules when working with a hand grinder.❤
At 15, I started work on a farm, and was told by a 85yr old farmer, something that he said I would never forget. If you can see the mountains, it's going to rain, if you can't see them, it's raining. He was right, I haven't forgotten it, 60yrs on.
Haha yes we always say that here too 🤣
Well done!
Awesome score with that amount of bales Karen! Great job all around by everyone! 👍🏻
Lovely to see! :D What would be your first instinct? Buy the rest of the bales or.....?
Nice results
Det är så himla vackert att se dej använda gummistövlar så mycket och du har många olika par gummistövlar ❤❤❤
Pleased and happy for you. Helps getting you thro winter. Thanks for the video
Karen, well done! Enjoy your sunny evening with Rob! 🍻
Look Gorgeous Karen Beautiful Bales am proud of your hard work have a Beautiful day ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
If you have slurry left put that on but nice result on 10 acres
We do have a lot of slurry but my Dad is holding back on it because we had a bad experience a few years ago where it was too dry and never got washed down right and ruined our bales so we'll spread after the second cut now
Happy for you kid, nothing better than a crop surpassing your expectations!!!
WOW nice footage of Ireland in the sunshine 🌞and lovely to see some action, hope the analysis on the silage is good and nice situation needing just a few extra bales, but then if have spare grass maybe you could sell a few bales.
I am in LOVE down on 1 knee with flowers in one hand and a ring in the other. Please be mine for life!! :)
🤣🤣🤣
😀🚜👍
Karen delighted for you and youre dad to have the first of youre silage bales done .hopefully it will take some of the pressure of ye for now. 🤠👍
Karen, easy to see why you got 10/acre.....grass still wet. Would have paid you to ted out the grass. At least 3 bales/acre less. I used to do what you did,but soon caught on to tedding.....less bales to pay for, less to stack/handle,keep their shape better and at the end of the day the same grass is compacted into less bales. I think you will still need a decent 2nd cut. Contractor also driving too fast to properly roll a bale tight....they won't care you have 200 bales off 10 acre!! I had similar looking crop, also baled with a fusion 3,chopped..6 bales/acre. As you may now sense.....I detest soft bales!!!!😢😢😢
We never ted our silage. my Dad hates dry bales
@@karenmoynihanfarm fair enough, everyone has a system that works for them
Put a little fertilizer one field and do 2. Nd cut. Fertilize other little and save it for grazing later on
Excellent Karen 👏👏
Great to get your Silage Karen Great looking crop .
Great to see loads of bales and ye will have plenty of supply for winter ❤
Great crop, it's nice feeling when it's all wrapped up. I did 19 acres last Sunday, 216 bales 😎.. How did the reseeding turn out...
😳😳 that was a lot! reseeding is getting there. I'll have a little update in my next video
@@karenmoynihanfarm hope to get a hundred plus this weekend 🤞
@@briancronin8476 Best of luck with it!
@@karenmoynihanfarm Thanks..
Delighted for ye on d results
Fine heap of bales lash out the fert again could b long winter can always sell them
The shaking hand made me 👍 and subscribe. Having the jitters after pulling a calf I would consider normal. Pulling a calf isn’t for the faint hearted. Mom and baby up and walking around confirms a job well done.
Thank you!
Well done
Great news for you guys
Lovely video,it would put you in good form.
Hi Karen, Thank you for your kind wishes. The operation went well and I'm back home with the family now feeling great. I'm glad the stress is easing for you now the silage is safe. What a beuatiful landscape you have to live and work in. Wishing you a chilled weekend, Cheers. Poth.
Great video . Get another good second cut sell most of second cut bales and this will fund for all the reseeds 👍👍
Listening to this lady I think Saoirse Ronan’s Irish brogue from the movie Brooklyn appears to have a bit of competition. 👍🍀

@@karenmoynihanfarm Yay! Paint zigzag as it would confuse crows 🐦⬛ eyes 👀
