390 with the 3 lever gearbox was the first 4 wheel drive tractor many farmers bought, i wish you every success with it and hope it serves you well for many years to come.

Good sensible buy! It'll only increase in value. Even on a small farm it's worth having 2 tractors, even though my second one doesn't get much use its handy when I need it.

Just fixed a 3 cylinder Massey 135 diesel and delivered it to the owner like yourself,she had a big smile 😊😊. That one of yours you be able to put a decent Slasher and post hole driver. Our we still aloud to talk to you now with that big boy 😅😅😅

Might be worth looking for a second hand set of rear wheels in a smaller size, I was going to say if you get new look for a lower profile but that would probably be pointless as they'd be the same size as they are now. I'd say a pair of rear wheels next size down would be your best bet can pick them up reasonably priced sometimes for the 80s/90s tractors​@@karenmoynihanfarm

Don't change the rear wheel size. The gear ratio with the front wheels will be wrong, it will destroy the gears and front axle. Stick to original sizes for your type of work.

Definitely don't change the rear wheels !!!! Will cause no end of problems in a 4wd

Hi Karen, you have lived out your dream of owning a MF 390 tractor. With you working full time does puts pressure on getting the chores done on the farm. The MF 150 has been an amazing tractor helping your family out since the 1970, but there are some jobs it struggles with now. Some people buy cats or dogs, but you buy a tractor. Well wear Karen, best of luck with it!..... you're not alone with fretting before a big purchase.... I still do 30 year on! But that soon passes when you see the versatility it brings you. When you work off farm you have make things easier at home. That tractor will give you good service.

Well wear on your new purchase, of course it had to be a Massey Ferguson what else could they work 😀 if you just let some air out of the back tyres it might fit into the shed, just a temporary solution.

Well ware Karen, a lovely 390, they like a bit of heat before they start, if it hasn't it all ready a high speed starter motor makes a huge difference.

Very clean tractor health to wear . The cattle did well best of luck.

Well done loverly tractor looked after and washed down well after spreading fertiliser it will do all you need for another 50 years,these newer tractors full of electrics will never last that long,great comment about getting a weight block with a quick coupler on the back

Good upgrade on your tractor, they are not cheap but in fairness most tractors hold their value, its nice horsepower, sensible tractor, in good condition with good level of comfort for u, u need some element of comfort for your hard work, well done Karen, when u get a few spare euro spend it on your 135 and keep it for nice small second tractor, well done Karen, good luck with your new tractor, when u pick a loader take time and pick the correct one for your sheds and work load, something that is quick attach and detach, easy and quick if u want take it off, well done, up and onwards, u deserve the new tractor, 😊

That's a great purchase, you'll be very happy with it. I've worked on them and it's and good mechanical tractor with no computer parts. Should last you a long time. If u let a small. Bit of air out of the rear tyres in might drop in enough to get in the shed and u can pump them up again when u need to 🤔

The 390’s a brilliant choice. Whether or not you were spoiled by the loader, doing yourself in over moving bales wouldn’t be good. Especially with your day job being principal.
