The shaking hand made me 👍 and subscribe. Having the jitters after pulling a calf I would consider normal. Pulling a calf isn’t for the faint hearted. Mom and baby up and walking around confirms a job well done.

Your a trooper, not an ejit !! !You took me right back to 1978 at agricultural college feeling for the groove in their skull. You can feel the love you have for your animals and you can see how they respond to you.Your never afraid to try anything and always give it it best shot. Well done, always a little traumatic with those hefers, one ends up exhausted and thinking of the poor animals... when the hefer starts rolling with the eyes😱 Good thing she was a week early, helps a little in terms of the size of the calf. Good job 👍 Btw, nice that Rob has ag background, helps to make your partner understand your choice of "hobby" 😉

Sometimes a shot of calcium will help a cow that has trouble getting up after caving.

Everyone should subscribe to your channel your a natural nothing staged just as it is your dad is so proud of you I bet and it isn't easy going to work and coming home to do cattle it's a credit to u when other young women are out having fun

Great job, now you took the plunge into pulling a calf and making a fine job and it can help save a few pennies only needing to call the vet for something more serious

When you are pulling a calf you need to give the calf a quarter turn once the head is out i cross the legs and whichever one is under is the way the calf will turn. This is much easier to get out and basically never hip locks, i know it sounds easy but sometimes in the excitement we forget. Best is to take it slow once the head is out and breathe twice before proceeding.

There’a plenty of polled Simmental options in the AI market at the minute Karen. No more dehorning of you can get cows in calf to them. I’d recommend Limehill Master PP, Kingston PP, Gunshot P, Deuter PP, Gilmore P and Coose Pat PP
