Wonder if it is a 350 or a 500. Had some difficulty hearing the speaker. Exhaust is 350 with reverse cone. The 500 has no reverse cone and a flat on the mega preventing cracking. Not as many believe to get more lean angle.

My -59 350 Manx did its last junior TT in -63. Chain broke on 6th lap. DNF. Now it's mechanically ok, runs well but it has some battlescars. Some call it patina.

I had the same in France. After this one I bought a lot of bigger bikes but this one was really a pleasure to ride. Now 125 cc bikes in France have not more than 13cv now, not fun at all .

In 1974 I was hitchhiking from near Watford to Mallory to watch the race of the year. I was picked up by a bloke in an Imp Californian whose son was racing a seeley framed konig. As he had a pit pass, we drove into the paddock and I didn't have to pay any entrance money. I then watched the day's racing from the paddock. Somewhere in my slide collection is a picture of me sat on his bike. I'm just wondering if this is the same one.

This bike is the 1967 AJS Starmaker. The frame was designed and built by Ken Sprayson. The engine was developed by my late father, Peter Inchley. The 1966 bike that finished 3rd on the Island was a TS 125 framed special, called the "Villiers Special", fitted with the Villiers Starmaker engine.

English racer Paul Smart once commented that even though the Kawasakis and others he rode later may have been faster, his Triumph Trident triple had the best all round combination of speed, power, braking & handling.
