  • @djmoosecom

    @djmoosecom6 ай бұрын

    Wait, I thought you were asking about balancing the plane with the retracts extended or retracted. Were you asking about balancing the plain upright or inverted? In that case it doesn't matter. Do whatever is easier for the plane. Sometimes a low wing plane will be easier to balance upside down. Also, sometimes, a balancer might be too short or not wide enough to hold the plane upright...then you might have to balance it upside down. The bottom line is that it doesn't matter. CG is the same upright or inverted.

  • @djmoosecom
    @djmoosecom8 ай бұрын

    This unit seems nice and techy but hundreds of dollars later your just complicating the balancing process. You can use the Great Planes CG Machine and get some longer rods from a Hardware store to put through the balancing support holes to make it work for larger Planes. I've don 50cc Top Flight Warbirds this way. What if the electronics aren't accurate.

    I've got a question about the tail codes, and I hope you'll know the answer. I built a model that had the tail code "3-116", with one red horizontal stripe and no ABC characters. If "116" refers to the type of plane and its individual number, then what does the "3" prefix mean?

    Is there any explanation for why you would increase the deadband ?

  • @djmoosecom
    @djmoosecom Жыл бұрын

    One reason would be if you are experiencing jitter on a surface...increasing the deadband might help. Also, remember, folks use servos for lots of other things than RC....some situation might need the servo to be just slightly not EXACT at all times to help relieve pressure. I've never needed to adjust it, myself.

    Can't you do most of this on a decent transmitter? I got a hs-7955tg I like the fact you can control the speed. I ran futaba 3003 standard servos as a kid and these high end servos are abit to fast expo seems to help slow it down. Anyone program one and was it worth messing with? It's neat but idk if I wanna invest in a programmer. What's your guys thought on this programing it worth it? I only have this one hitec servo rest are other brands. From past experience I'm not a huge fan of hitec had a few and think they were abit weaker than the specs claimed and seen a few burn out but that happens sometimes. But anyone use thus what's your thoughts on it?

  • @djmoosecom
    @djmoosecom Жыл бұрын

    Yes you can do most of this with a transmitter. I like programming the servos so if I sell the plane or change transmitters, the new radio needs less work to keep the same throws. I personally like programming the servos because it works with how I think...everyone has their own preferred way.
