I'm going to eat here in September!
Sorry if I missed this in the episode but do we know what time of day the booking window opens? Same time as dining? Thank you!!!
Really I don’t care too much how they change it but I agree the name changes are hard to get used to and when you finally get it it’s been changing .
Holy crud Disney cruises are darn expensive!!
Great video! Lots of helpful information. It will be ineresting to see how this works, especially on day one. I'm fully expecting long processing times/lag and crashes. Hopefully I'm wrong. And you're not alone on remembering the names. My brain still defaults to telling my mouth to say "fastpass." lol Lastly, Henry was a great cohost! He should be in the videos more often :)
Thank you! And Henry enjoyed his KZread debut 😉
I totally agree why isn’t Lightning McQueen not used in the branding for lightning lanes.
Right?!
Thanks for sharing Tonya recommended you! As a travel agent this helps a lot😊
Do we think there's a possibility that the character meet lightning lanes may be available for in-park reservations? Like after you get in and scan into your first lightning lane??
Definitely possible!
Thank you so much for the very informative video. It sounds like the multipass will be much better than Genie+ 🤞🏻
What are your thoughts on rides still being available for the 3 day window? Any idea what percentage of visitors stay on site?
I think they’ll make sure to have some options for the 3 day window so people will buy it but I can see a few premium options like Slinky Dog being harder for offsite guests. But I’m definitely going to be testing that and will report back ☺️
@@livingbydisney thanks!
I love your nap expert! ❤ This video was a great explanation of the changes! Can’t wait to hear how it plays out.
Thanks so much! Henry is feeling pretty good about his KZread debut 😉
This is such fantastic information! I’m curious to see how it will work once it’s rolled out… as an AP holder who stays off site sometimes, I hope that they’ll still have lots of availability at the 3 day mark. I’m also curious how it will work if you’re setting up rides for multiple days with the ones that are generally gone immediately. Have they said if at the 7 day and 3 day window it will still open at 7am? Sucks for us west coasters if so!
I’m curious about that too! Will definitely be testing it out and reporting back both for 7 and 3 day options. Thanks for watching!
I think your Simplified Park Strategy was SO well thought out and will still be very relevant except for some portions. The overall concepts will still be 100% usable! LOVE the 4-3-2-1 <3
Thank you! Yes you’re totally right it will still work with some terminology changes 😉
Thanks for another very informative video. I am very interested in your opinion as to which parks you think the multi-pass is worth it for a typically busy time.
If it stays the same as Genie was then Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios was always my top picks for being really worth the price. The other two you can get by with good strategies like arriving early, etc
I feel that they could have just kept the fast pass system the way it was, and just have people pay for it. However I do like the lightening lane “ala carte” option. Great job as always Serena ❤️
Thank you!! And yes I agree Fastpass was great!
Thank you for this video! The new itineraries released last month show that the Fantasy will be doing 4- and 5-night cruises in 2025 and 2026. What’s your take on how that might impact Animators Palette?
It’ll depend on what dining rotation you have because some restaurants you’ll be in twice and some you won’t depending on what you start with. In that case I would assume they’d still do both Animators options for those that have it twice. So it may be worth requesting Animators as you’re starting dinner. Thanks for watching!
Excellent job guys I subscribed I LOVE that you put the times and showed where to stand, VERY helpful!! I am going to book TWO parties back to back, one to do your strategy, then the other focus on rides and photo pass!!! - Do you guys think I could buy multi pass and use it from 4 to 6pm on my 2nd night? Can you buy individual lightning lanes? Thank you!!!
Thanks so much! So glad it was helpful. So if you just have a party ticket you can buy add-ons like Lightning Lanes. They have to be attached to a regular park ticket not a party ticket. BUT lines aren’t usually too bad in those few hours before the party. Not as low as they are the last hour or so of the night but still not bad.
One of my favorites too! This was a really well made video! <3
Thanks!
Just came back for a rewatch! What a fun and comforting video. I love the way this was filmed…reminds me of late 90s/early 2000s just really loose and off the cuff. Been loving the podcast too! Even with the preplanning involved and layers of facts/knowledge, it comes across as cozy like chatting with friends. :)
Thank you so much for this comment! I’m usually trying to channel a little touch of Must-Do Disney resort TV style so maybe that’s why it feels nostalgic. 😉 Also appreciate the take on the podcast! that’s exactly what I’m going for so it’s great to know it’s coming across!
Great information thank you! I really appreciate the sustainability considerations and wouldn’t want it any other way, but I can already hear my kids complaining about that walk! 😅
Haha I know right?! 😅
Yesss
Would you recommend a table near a window or a screen for entertainment? Thank you for all the recommendations 😊
If you mean during the dinners, your table is assigned to you and you’re not able to choose but we’ve found that most of them have a good view of the screens. ☺️
We are going on the fantasy next month and you described the features better than the person did when I called to check. Thank you!
Thanks for watching and have a great time!
We americans are so uncultured. Yes, dont get off the ship in a place with a different culture, natural and bio diverse but get off on a fake Disney Island. 😂😂😂
Not everyone can ride it now or when it opens, but 'Everyone's Welcome!' LOL
What a great roundup! I’m excited for all the new stuff on our trip next month. Thanks!
Us too!
Thank you for this video because I was very sad since I didn't book the Icon instead, but this video just kept hope alive. 😅 but I'm still pissed ground transportation from the airport is $450 roundtrip (5 people) instead of complimentary 😢
Whoa really? From MCO? There may be cheaper options. Even Uber maybe less than that. I’d definitely look into others. But trust me you’re going to have an amazing time! 🤗
This is the best, most concise way to have all of this in one place for a newbie! Love the charts you made and I’ll be sharing this with a few people ☺️
Total side topic, but I have to know where you got the villains cookie jar looking thing in the background at 12:11!!
It’s a one from the early 2000s that was sold at the Disney store - they had a great ceramic villains line back then. It can still be found on eBay though!
100% agree with the comments about continuing the story vs. doing a “book report”. I think this is a great addition
This is a GREAT way to plan your day! I was at Disney last week and we alternated After Hours parties at MK and HS with regular park days at Epcot and AK. For us, it was an ideal way to enjoy our vacation. We slept in after the After Hours parties and used Genie+ in the afternoon. If you love rides like my travel party does, know that you can both join a virtual queue *and* purchase a Lightning Lane. I totally agree with prioritizing experiences as well. The shows are amazing and, more practically speaking, sometimes it’s a choice between heat stroke and Frozen Ever After!
Great video! It all looks beautiful!
Thank you so much! The island is stunning :)
Having lived on the island for over 20 years I can tell you that you will NEVER get rid of those flies. The island is over 100 miles long, and those flies will travel a long way when they smell BBQ and especially sea food. Disney has left hundreds of acres untouched(for which we are all grateful), and the flies love living in the bushes. No one has yet mentioned the no-see-us that eat you alive at dawn and dusk. Also look out for scorpions, black widow spiders, tarantulas and boas. This is a very rural island and we live with these on a daily basis.
Oh interesting! How are the locals feeling about Disney being there?
@@livingbydisney Mixed bag, some are grateful for the work, some are furious to have one of our most beautiful beaches overrun with cruisers. Lighthouse Point used to be a very special place for most Eleutheran, remote, untouched and a treasure of The Bahamas. There is no putting the genie back in the bottle. The amount of sewage, food waste and litter from fast food restaurants will stay on the island and seepage will eventually make its way to the reef. You can’t ship in thousands of people a week and expect the island to remain pristine. They call it progress.
Thank you for information going this summer
Have fun!
Awesome video! Excited to visit next March with my family!
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you for the great video! We are going to cruise from 11/30 - 12/7! Have you had any sea sick? If so, what medicine/patch did you use? Or do you know some effective ways to prevent it?
I haven’t had any issues myself but heard people really do well with the patches. They also sell them on the ship too. Enjoy your trip!
I watched this on Spotify, but I had to come here to leave a comment. That Aladdin interaction was hilarious! 😂 I’m not good with human characters either. 🤭
No Spaceship Earth on the Epcot list?
Do you think this approach would also work for a holiday party?
Holiday parties don’t have any Genie+ or Lighting Lane options so it’s a bit different. They’re really about the special party entertainment and rides are secondary. But wait times drop a lot as the night goes on so plan to do more rides the last 90 minutes of the party for shortest waits. And check out our video guide for both Halloween and Christmas 👀
This video helped me so much! It’s been 5 years since our last trip to Disney and a lot has changed. I was confused the most about how to plan out the rides and this was a great guide.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video!!! This is the way I travel now. I like the way you break it up and spell it out! Years ago we tried to hit every ride and made ourselves miserable. Now that we have been a few times, we just pick out some favorite must-do's, plan at least one table Service meal a day most of the time, and we have learned how valuable early entry, rope drop, and late stay can be. We also value experiences and hotel chill time. We prioritize daily park breaks of at least two hours on any day we plan to stay late. You can't start touring at 7 am and last till the park closes and fully enjoy it unless you take that mid-day break.
Exactly! After you’ve been a few times these are the lessons you learn. So hoping I can save a few people from having to learn the hard way 😅
Oh we needed to hear the parking and gas saga! That was amazing.
I'd love to hear you review the Caribbean Beach resort!
Noted! 🤗
You all are so great, but have to say Tiny Tourist Heidi may have stole the show😊😆😄
Another great podcast. 😊
Aw thank you Tonya!
The Sommelier Bin ? It is wine people had to leave behind from previous cruises because they could not fly it home. If you take a wine with a cork, they have to uncork it for you for a fee. You get the glasses of wine cheaper.
That’s awesome! I’ll have to check that out!
@@livingbydisney I though the "Corking Fee" was only if you drink your wine in a Restaurant.
Don't forget the Sommelier Bin !!
Ooh what’s that?

Yes! The Rocketeer! It came out the year I graduated from high school! lol Thank you for the tips for crowds. We don't have another trip until October but I may need to sneak down for a couple of days to see this show. Looks amazing!
It really is good- and hopefully they’ll have it stick around or maybe do another one because it’s been such a hit!
OMGoodness, I have never been a podcast person, but this channel is changing my mind! I am hooked. And I found you because I follow Mammoth Club/Molly and I love the way you build up other content creators. Love the banter between you and your cohost.
Aw thank you! So glad you’re here 🤗
This video has SOLD ME!!!! I am going to show it to my husband later and hope that it convinces him to give a Disney Cruise a CHANCE and not worry about the price :)
Haha love to hear it! We just did a podcast video comparing what you get on a cruise vs going to Disney World that you might like too! 🥴
