  huh. ALWAYS change oil filter. hot pipes oweee. new filter shit.....its over...we didn't get to see you spill oil on the pipes and throw oil down storm drain. bummer. im gunna c how many views this lame video is than make one better.

  Your music sucks. Your camera is fogging. Your singing is off tune. You should have had the plastic off would have helped the loooong vid for the crap we know. Never tell anyone you crashed.   Thanks for the tip! Don't know why there are dislikes, this is very informative. Maybe the video quality? People will moan about anything these days. How fast do we have to do the ws+1,2? It doesn't look like we have a huge window to catch them after the launch~

  He says his filter has a little "nub" on it--for a socket... It can be called a mounting surface..Or a NUT that was welded on top of the filter for ease of removal!!!

  The drain bolt is on the bottom you can take the oil filter off through the front no need to take any fairings off just the cover where you put the oil in its a 20 min job if you have the tools

  Anyone knows what kind of socket it uses for the oil drain and other parts of this bike? I used to have another brand of MC and my shit doesn't fit it. Need to buy a few tools now.

  The oil doesn't have to be HOT when you change it. Usually I let it sit for 20-30 minutes after a good run, then you can pull the bolt out of the way...you'll get a little oil on your hands (wear a nitrile glove if you must) so just need a rag nearby, but it's not scalding at that point.

  thanks for the video. i have the same bike and there's actually a little flap on the fairing that opens up specifically for oil changes. its right where the oil cap is located. don't know if you noticed it since uploading this vid but it would make your oil changes slightly faster. thanks for the video though

  Thanks for the video but "washing off" oil with a hose? We could see oil streaks down your driveway. EPA wouldn't be awful happy about that. Better to wipe off with a rag then finish up with carb/brake cleaner (catching residue in oil pan) then dispose of responsibly.

  great vid dude. I'm going to try and change the oil on my 2006 Kat this weekend. do you suggest a brand of oil. I've heard motul is good but im so new they all look and sound the same to me. thanks!

  I'm new to the biking world, and I got a 98 Katana- same instructions apply right even for that year? BTW..great intructional video dude - I havent seen any other videos (yet) on other stuff ie; tune-ups, tire changes, chain inspections and other mechanical stuff. I got a book coming but some of the stuff I want to do now - again ty for posting the oil change one.
