"Ok Calm down bro, it's just a girl" (7:53) NO ITS NOT JUST THAT!!! This man probably has never been through a relationship that bear so much. The lyrics is soooo much of the album even though it is not even said in the album. Thing about COnverge is they are an EXTREMELY emotional band. J Bannon even said in an interview that one problem that he has but that he uses to his advantage is that he writes songs that are VERY personal to him.

I feel you missed a big point. Chascore existed as a precursor to mathcore before mathcore became a term. Coalesce and Botch were considered Chaoscore, Dillinger was the band that turned it into mathcore. Chaoscore also started with a band called Deadguy, who is massively important to the birth of mathcore, as it would likely not exist without them. I would definitely recommend looking into them. As for Chaoscore, you won't find anything more than traces of the subgenre as it was back then in forums scattered across the internet, but if you talk to anyone who was involved with the scene back then they'd probably be able to tell you all about it :P

Let me just give you a quick rundown of how I even know of this band. A few days ago I woke up to YT autoplaying a Trent Rezer interview about his influences. He said the name of this band and said his music isnt really like this(gladly agree). So I checked it out hoping it was something new. I have never heard such childish jibber shit in my life. It sounds like if some kid found a mic, an old metal fan, a AC unit and a tried to out angst an emo kid from 2011. Speaking of kids, WHY THE FUCK DOES THE ALBUM COVER HAVE CHILD PRON ON IT? Utterly useless shit. I cant believe this is called one of the first industrial bands. Anyone who is into this is literally the biggest trend chasing assclown in the immediate area.

Peter did actually have a 'cool name' Peter 'sleazy' Christopherson..... oh and the name of the band derives from s slang term for an erection and has nothing to do with cartilage.... The manifesto of 'Industrial' is thus 'If it can make a sound it can be sampled and made into music' they specifically forced band members to pick up the instruments they were least suitable or comfortable playing to discover sounds not yet discovered.... Industrial is an umbrella term meaning not all the music sounds like drills and clanging metal but is a reflection of what is going on in the environment around you.... There most definitely is a First annual report but you need to look for it online.... all in all a fascinating time in music history one I personally think had much more influence and was more important that punk.... but that's just my opinion ;)

I always treated the printed lyrics in the booklet more as accompanying poems, elements of the artwork rather than strictly typical "lyrics", they express things in a vastly different way than the music and the words Jacob uses. Also, the nature of this causes the moments they overlap to have this insane punch, like at at the end of The Broken Vow. "I'll take my love to the grave", the moment of clarity in the furious storm of emotions.
