unrelated to the vid, but what control scheme do you use to consistently do flymags?

Z - Special on a gamecube controller. Pretty much the only way to get flymags is to set either jump or special to a shoulder button since its a 1-frame window

@@psysilex Ok I use L-jump for attack cancels so this is good, but another thing when i try to get my dj out to do flymag for some reason ONLY my magnet comes out, any reason for this or am I just bad? 😞

Nah, Ness can PK Thunder again after bonking off a wall, but he can only do it once and its a 30 frame window I think

Thank you guys for pointing out the issue with the music being too loud, I'll be sure to do a better job of making sure the audio is easier to listen to in future videos. I'm always looking to improve the quality of my videos, so I appreciate any type of criticism!

1:59 Most likely, this is because of a rounding error. These are very common in video games.

It's not exactly the walls being weird, more so the way PK Thunder interacts with walls being weird. There's definitely something in PK Thunder that makes it act differently on the left and right sides of walls, but I have no idea why that would be.

huh, that's weird. Only thing I might guess is that the bonk vs. slide is dependant on if ness is going 'clockwise' or 'counterclockwise' against the stage. So if ness is on the left side, he's typically up-b-ing to the right and up, which is clockwise around the stage, but on the right side of the stage, he'd be going to the left and up, which is counter-clockwise around the stage. Shouldn't be too hard to test -- just need to see if the bonk vs. slide physics still apples when ness uses pks2 downward against the stage, instead of upward (probs would have to use a custom stage to be able to see). If it's reversed, then it would have to do with clockwise vs counterclockwise. Still wouldn't make much sense, but at least it would be a bit of an explanation.

Some times as ness or Lucas you can bounce off the stage and if you're quick enough you can use another pk thunder but you can only do it once It's a pretty weird trick

I know this video is 4 months old, but I'd say using someone as a stepping with Sword of the Creator is not allowed because that comes under *outside help.* If it was allowed, then Captain Falcon & Ganondorf should do the same with their Up Special moves to complete hard mode, same with Sheik & Zero Suit Samus with their Down Special moves, Greninja & the Belmonts with their Down Aerials, and Bayonetta with After Burner Kick. And Corrin should be allowed to use Dragon Lunge since it doesn't regenerate his jumps.

ik it doesn't matter since she made it anyway, but with Jigglypuff, you can angle her Pound upwards by tilting up on the stick after inputting the move.

Okay, after some testing, I got all three Links to the far cloud with a single bomb. The strategy is the same for all three. Wait for bomb timer, use a Coyote Jump (tech that allows characters to jump from platforms at a higher height, but also being near frame perfect) off the left platform, Links use up b at the height of their jumps. Link faces right so the bomb is behind him, Young and Toon Link face left so the bomb is to their left, easier to do the turnaround with a reverse aerial rush but without attacking. Then all three Links use a very specific in-between air dodge over the platforms and continue drifting right, then all double jump and at the height of their double jumps, use up b. Easiest was Toon Link, then Link, then Young Link actually needed hazards off for the strategy to work. It was much easier for Young Link and Link to get to the far cloud with multiple bombs, but using less bombs is optimal to me but also gets the job done. Last note, the air dodge used is not part of the general 8 air dodge direction, but its between right and up-right, it is a very specific angle of air dodging.
