thought i was a nasty ness wanting to learn the super hard combos. Turns out this guy is the best to ever do it

My brother mains ness too but he feels like he's been plateauing pretty hard lately, so I've been trying my hardest to learn how to fly mag so I can teach him cuz I know it'll be a game changer

As a fellow Ness, Ive still yet to master the magnet combo, I can never get it into down air. Sometimes Im able to get it into forward air though or other attacks

I don't know your exact situation but maybe you are you are imputing for a normal djc mag, try moving the stick fully into the direction you wish to go and then try imputing the jump and then the mag. wishing you luck brotha

@lordgator8513 I actually finally got the magnet into down air combo to work. I appreciate the advice though since I still hope to get it right more often

Make sure you have a shoulder button set to jump/special so you can press them at the same time (really press down b exactly one frame after double jumping but its pretty much pressing them at the same time). It just takes a LOT of practice and getting used to the input, i still mess it up often but someone like Nessboy12 for example has become extremely consistent at them. I'd recommend going in training and first get used to the input, then get used to what situations u would go for it (ex: falling up air, fair in certain scenarios, out of pk fire, etc.)

It does, but its very precise and only works at a small percent range. Its easiest on floatier characters that aren't super light like samus, peach, etc.

@@psysilex I think the issue is that I cant play without tap jump, so I always end up losing at recovery and combos

@@-darktrack-8095 yea i'd def not reccomend tap jump for ness, bc he needs to double jump cancel fire and magnet and thats way easier when jump is set to a button

When psi magnet is inputed exactly 1 frame after double jump, it does the rising magnet variant and the community has named it "fly magnet"
