    Is there any disadvantage to using the declination adjustment on this compass? So far, I have just been doing the math, old school. East is least, and west is best.

    None at all. Again, you set the magnetic declination, and that's it. There's no need to do any math what's

    As a modern Urbana Transsexual Trinary Progressive Democrat living in San Francisco I was shocked and saddened that this man was talking about abusing animals. Placing a dog, our best friend, in a confined space for long periods of time is unlawful animal abuse. I have reported this video to our local city government authorities (Transsexual Animal Abuse Administration TAAA) and they have informed me that this video will be deleted here in San Francisco city and county and the perputraitour is subject to permanent cancellation forever and ever. This is also an embarrassment to the Marines who are well known for having much gay and trany sex along with their doggy freinds. ALL MUST HAIL OUR GREAT GLORIOUS AND DEAR LEADER THE MOST HIGHLY ESTEEMED PRESIDENT JOSEPH R BIDEN THY KINGDOM CUM THY WILL BE DONE And remember to vote democratic early and often or you too will be permanently canceled forever and ever in accordance with our Dear Leader's mandate.

    Great information. I’m looking at Amazon trying to figure out witch one to get. I don’t need the global version. But they have usgs/UTM scales. Should I just get that one. Or metric UTM scales. I was just gonna go with the USGS/UTM. What’s your opinion. Thanks.

    Are the pants supposed to be baggy as hell? I got a size that fits my waist, a little longer than I need but the legs are huge in space, like I’d have to put on a lot of pairs to make it look not baggy

    hi I would like some advice on usmc tents. My tent smells from being stored for a long time. I think the smell is probably due to the waterproof coating on the tent. What can I do to get rid of the smell without harming the tent? Please advise.

  • @kjumper1
    @kjumper18 ай бұрын

    I'd recommend using liquid soap and water, lightly scrubbing the tent, then set it up and let it air dry completely before storage.

    I believe the smaller teeth for the chest and the fly zipper. The teeth are smaller on purpose to minimize the moisture and water to go through. That’s because when you zip it it looks like a tighter seal.

    Excellent video! Camera quiality is great so one can see detials good. Audio quality is great. Speed of talking is perfect to understand what is discussed, explaination is to the point without any nonesense. Good speaking pauses between subjects to audience can follow. Perfect. Class example of a excellent tutorial video. Question: at 12:47, shouldn't the bearing be 63degree instead of 61? As the increments are in 2 degree's and it seems top index line is between the 1st and 2nd increments

    So this is actually just an updated design based on the North face Nebula tent. The Nebula was 2 man 4 season tent. This USMC tent also has the better 'bathtub' floor where no ground seams are near the ground.

    Need vents under arm pits to cool off. Chest vents not helpful when wearing body armor or IBA. Also need pockets. Gen 1 gortex is better & holds up to rough use better

    Appreciate you making this review and very complete and concise description of sleep gear. One question I had regarding the rain fly is does yours not have the vents you can open there’s three of them on the rain fly I have for the Catoma bourrow. There’s a mesh built-in has a little plastic stick that holds the vent open you could control the condensation I would think using those. Understanding it would also vent heat out, but the heat your building up is full of moisture as it’s mostly from breathing. I’ve been thinking about improving the vents on mine when using in the summer I use a tiny semi flexible solar panel a 10 W and hook it into a USB fan similar to those computer fans that you’d have a computer tower. Rig it up for displacing air in the top of the rain fly. I’ll have to try the Mylar or reflective blanket you showed. Never actually tried one of those underneath my sleeping pad. Using the same thermal rest I like those I don’t ever store them completely rolled up with the air out as the foam then takes a long time to come back to life. personally been thinking about getting a small pump device to inflate as it usually needs a little more air even though the foam inflates it somewhat, however been hearing from others that when you’re in freezing temperatures the moisture from your breath can actually cause ice crystals the damage the inside of the sleeping pad. Not sure I only know one way to open it up to check if there’s damage and that would pretty much ruined it using a pocket knife. thanks again for the video I’m just finding this a couple years later since recently purchased this sleeping net system at a good price as I got the components separately some military surplus and other pieces secondhand. The ridge pole was the toughest to get and I had at first been using a pole from the improve combat shelter which is about the same size Pole used on the USMC TCOP. Was thinking to try that Marine Corps TCOP coyote tent rain fly and poles along with this bed net system then have more space with a smaller screen sleeping area. Take care and stay well

    Had no idea this existed until found military surplus rain fly for it. This is my first product from the company. Reminds me of the LiteFighter One man combat tent that I’ve had for six months now. Yet, this is much more compact and lightweight. One of the best features that I like a lot are the mesh vents to allow airflow and cut down on condensation buildup. I actually haven’t seen vents built into a rain fly like this previously. Will try winter camping as well using large Swiss white poncho to cover inner mesh bed net. Hopefully that’ll hold in enough heat. Finally found myself what looks to be durable pop-up type of sleep system that will keep the critters out. Appreciate you covering it in such detail.

    Question: understand it’s been almost a decade since you put up this video, but if you have the ability it wouldn’t mind taking out a tape measure could you give me the length in inches of that Ridgeline pole? Or, if anyone on here reads my comment and has one could give me the dimensions. I guess I could contact the manufacturer, but they don’t seem to sell the pole separately. I was gonna try taking one of the long poles from an old military surplus one-man combat shelter. I think it would probably work. I know it’s a bit different. Seems like the pole that comes with the rain fly kit for this bed net system has a bit of a 45° bend in a couple areas towards the head and toe. Thanks for the great review. I was referred to your video by another KZreadr. I’ll have to go back and check and I’ll post below so you can see that he’s sharing your link. Very nice of them to do so. Either way thanks for your effort I appreciate it. Stay well
