Helloooooooo, so would you use Low or medium? I’m getting mixed reviews
Low for me
Can you use the TX660 with Canon Cameras?
Yes, any camera. It is completely independent 👍
Could you share focal length of the 2 lenses?
24mm & 55mm 😊
Lovely behind the scenes. I see that you use the sony slim recorders, but what was recording your audio? Were you using a wireless mic?
Yeah it was a rode wireless mic, not sure which though, my BTS guy sorted it
I realize this is a 6 year old video but I still use these. Do you have any settings you've used to help make these sound a bit more full vs thin?
Same! I have mine set to LPCM wav. file and sensitivity set to ‘low’. Then in post (Final Cut) I add bass boost and voice isolation
@@AdamWingFilms beautiful, thank you good sir
😮sorry mate my mistake.
Terrible video all talk no example of footage.
Cheers Timothy 👍 there is examples throughout actually. What is it you disagree with?
thanks for your help, Adam! I'm going to film my first solo wedding in two weeks
You’re welcome! Best of luck with it!
When the next BTS video? :D
definitely some coming this year. I’ve got a couple lined up over summer
Really good advice Adam! I’ve attended one wedding fair and I hate it as I don’t want to be a salesman (i know we have to be sometimes) But the advice about just having a conversation and speaking to them rather than selling to them is top! Is that the Mac studio I see in the background and Trackpad? How are you finding them?
Agreed. it’s a hard thing to do. I normally offer to film for the venue so I don’t have to soeak to anyone 🤣 Yeah studio with studio display, it’s a beast.
Just found your channel, only done 4 weddings myself so far so this will help massively
I hope so! Thanks for watching 👍
what key words do you use to search for songs, i find it a little overwhelming finding the right tracks
Usually ambient, cinematic, uplifting sometimes, synths if I’m feeling funky. Sometimes just “wedding” under video themes
Love this dude!! So well done 👏👏
Thanks a ton! was pretty pleased with this one.
@@AdamWingFilms We are both photographers dabbling in film and suddenly found you again on YT. Massive inspiration to film dude. Simpler the better for us, and you epitomise that
@BealeIam that’s great to hear. All about that simplicity haha 😜
Hey Adam, when your manual focusing, and for doing focus pulls doe the focus ring work based on the speed you turn it or the abgke of rotation?
yeah based on speed. Will make more subtle shift if turning slowly
bro i want to see more video like this plizz ❤
No problemo 👍
Hey Adam! After seeing your pod with Greg, I actually did it myself in March and it was crazy how well this works! I am more around the mid market and ended up getting 8 bookings from it. 4 booked me before the completion ended and the others after when they asked for my packages. Also crazy how you can grow your page in such a short time!
Ah that’s great! Well done 👏 Yeah really simple way of getting your calendar filled up. Crazy that we dont see it done more often really
@@AdamWingFilms I think it’s crazy it’s taken us thing long to figure out how great it is! 100% got to become a yearly thing!
It’s always great to watch these. Keep ‘em coming Adam. Love those times when you randomly put two clips together and they just work magically/amazingly together. 😊
These accidents happen to me way too often 🤣
This is how I built my business a few years ago when I moved over to video from photography, I gave away one film but I gained hundreds of leads. There was one winner and I offered all of the others a discount for entering the competition, I filled my diary for the first year. A little tip though, send them to a page on your website to enter the wedding date and contact details etc otherwise your competitors can steal them. The winner of my competition added an optional extra so I even got paid enough to cover my costs for the free one!
Epic! Great to hear success stories with this, and yeah nice tip. Although any “competitors” that would steal leads is pretty low bar 😅
Hi, Greetings from Argentina, I really like this kind of stuff, most that you analise brings great clues how you work your storytelling and not the typical cronologic way , thanks.
Muchas gracias. I’m glad it stands out 🙏
Hi Adam! You are awesome! I filmed a wedding recently but it's nothing like yours!
Hey! Thanks man, that’s great though well done! As long as you got what you wanted out of it?
Great idea! Glad it worked out for you and nice to see another video. I didn't know about the podcast so will check that out :) . Did you message the brides you couldn't do because of dates or just leave it?
Thanks Gareth! No I just left it with those ones
Love this what’s the link for the podcast?
In the video description now for you ☺️
Love your work fella, thank you for sharing. It's really helpful to have creators like yourself, sharing ideas, and workflows for people learning the trade. I would like to ask how do you go about music for a feature 15 to 30 min wedding film. Do you use popular top 40s music and if so how do you get a license for it etc
Appreciate that Nick thank you! I don’t use chart music at all, impossible to get licensed. For everything I use either MusicBed .com or Artlist. They have some fantastic tracks
Oh ok, thank you for that update mate. Just 1 more question on this subject, do you send your clients to your music website so they can choose or do you just choose yourself for the editing of the long film?
@@nickc9793 Choose it myself
@AdamWingFilms thank you again for the update. Keep up the good work and look forward to new content from yourself
@AdamWingFilms if you would like to have a look at some of my work that I have produced I'm at @ReelSoloMedia this work is when I had a partnership company for wedding, music videos and promotional videos, but sadly the pandemic cost us too much money and we shut down. 3 years out and I have decided to get back into it but solo this time. My business partner dealt with all the licensing stuff, and I'm now currently setting it all up, hopefully be ready soon. So it's always good to learn new styles and ways of filming and editing so very greatful of people like yourself.
omg Adam this is GOLD. Honestly - you are the best. I'm currently working on a film with a similar vibe - huge party energy etc, a Serbian-Australian-Maori family! I'd love to try and incorporate something similar for their opening as I have a mad dancefloor and haka and all sorts. Would you be cross if I stole your AMAZING idea of the heartbeat with the groom waiting? It might not work, but I love it SO much and would love to give a try for this couple! (The groom even spoke his vows without the mic so only his bride (and my RODE mic hehe) could hear him! So it would be perfect!!) If it works out, I'll give you a nod/@ when I post it!
Course not! Go for it. It’d be great to see the results.
@@AdamWingFilms you're such a generous creative! Thank you! I'll be sure to share/tag you - working on it now, and I think it'll work out!
Art belongs to everyone as they say. Plus, I probably lifted the idea myself from someone else 🤣
@@AdamWingFilms haha brilliant! Merely passing the baton! Love that quote. :)
It was really good content. Watching it does not tire you. You have good energy, brother. I wish you success in your work. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Crap, I don't know the couple, or you, and there were tears in my eyes. Beautiful video, and I love the behind-the-scenes video on the editing.
Ahh very kind, thanks for watching!
Where have you been you slacker!! Very useful and more of these from an editing perspective would be great. A good edit can make such a difference to a film from being good to being next level, so yes please… keep em coming!!
Haha sorry sorry. Editing sure makes a huge difference, you should see my raw footage 🤣
Love this Adam, i owuld love to be able to mix up the day nore instead of purely chronological so think theres some good tips here to help me with that ...ive also tried my own rewind intro at a pub and beer garden wedding i did last august, needless to say you oulled it off way better than me, great stuff would love to see more inside the edit videos. Cheers Darren.
Give it a try Darren! Will keep these coming 👌
Great work as always adam hope you and the family are all well ?
Thanks mark! Very well thank you, excited for the season ahead!
Lets hope its a great season with plenty of speeches before the meals lol 😂@AdamWingFilms
@mcmediaandfilm 🤣🤣
You thought you ate fr
🔥🔥🔥 The ceremony room seems quite difficult to film. I was wondering where you put the B cam and how you managed to move to get different angles?
Good question! It was tricky, there was a view point at 1 side that I shot through and then I had a third angle with me that I just moved around a fair bit on a tight lens. It wasn’t so bad when everyone was sat down.
CRACK 👏💯🔥
🤣 thanks 😅
🔥
Hey mate! Which monopod is that? Seems short when collapsed. I’m looking for something shorter than what I currently use.
It’s the just the standard manfrotto x-pro monopod
thats the Barcelo hotel isn't it
Nope, just a private villa in Marbella
I'm 4 years late for the live stream 😢
🤣
Getting one for back up audio and a very reasonable price they seem great. For speeches you could get a microphone sleeve that way every speech giver uses the newer model.
I just tape mine on to microphones with electric tape, same diff
Love that bus taking the titles away. So cool.
Thank you! 😁
Hey Adam, Sorry to bother you... I just got a Sony ZVE10 and I was thinking maybe I can apply your new settings there to experiment... Do you have a video explaining your profile for newer cameras? I'm using HLG3 for now.... Thank you so much
this is the video showing my picture profile settings, I still use that now & think it can be applied to most sony cameras; kzread.info/dash/bejne/m2appdORncbLZ9I.html
So beautiful 😊
Hola.
:) @@AdamWingFilms
Loved this one!!!
Thank you 🙏
Can't wait to come back to London... What kind of movies do you like?@@AdamWingFilms
@Strangelovefilms oh I’m not very artistic 🤣 marvel, Star Wars, Chris Nolan films..
Awesome! me too, mostly horror though... Last year I had the opportunity to have my film premiered at Frightfest in London... It was amazing@@AdamWingFilms
Don’t be lazy show us the ports connection.
What do you do with the stills? Thank you
Use them in the finished films. You’ll be able to spot them if you watch my work
That's interesting... Beautiful work BTW... I think I'm going to get your LUT...But would you share what settings and profile do you suggest? I'm using an old A7S Mark I and still not happy with the results...Again Thank you@@AdamWingFilms

Thank you so much Adam! Greetings from Mexico!
Hey mate do you have an updated referral code as that one doesn't work any more.
Hi, sorry about that. I’ll chat to the eazyflicks guys and try to sort this out!
all manual focusing?
Yeah 🙂
Hi Adam, thanks for sharing your work. I find the simplicity with which you film really admirable, both in the equipment you carry and in how you use it. I would like to ask you if you use any ND filters at some point, it doesn't seem like you raised the shutter speed to 800 or something like that... Thanks
Hey, thank you for saying so! No I did, it was a bright day so there’s definitely points where the shutter speed went all the way up to 1/8000. Hence why i don’t bother with ND’s, you can’t tell the difference mostly.
Ok. And what abou the aperture of the lens? Wide open always?...
@movinglifefilms yeah 👍
Great coverage, simple but effective. Very inspiring 🙏🏼
Thanks Jacob!
Should just turn on the "Clear Image zoom" feature, and toggle it by a button of your choice. I personally chose the left and right button on the wheel.
Mate you're smashing it,.......love the edit and I started watching the video and getting emotionally connected with it, instead of looking at it from a videography perspective which shows how good it was. Very well done .
Ahh very kind thank you! I particularly enjoyed editing this one 👌
