Hope it helps! Still Manual focus with the a7siii yes 😊 (though I occasionally press focus while recording if I’m trying to get some crazy angle one handed 🤣

Absolutely love the minimalism approach; random question, do you find yourself wondering if you’d get more bookings if you were to scale up the gear? Sometimes feel clients move on to another company once they find out I work solo with smaller gear.

Not found that myself, I think it’s down to the couple. you’ll get those who prefer discreet and those who prefer big production at every end of budgets. Plus I wouldn’t want those bookings anyway 🤣

Thanks for sharing your equipment Adam. I notice some changes in your kit. DJI mini 2 😀🙌 I would recommend better upgrade to mini 3, it's a bit bigger but image is more pleasing.

Thank you! Yeah I’m sure I’ll get it eventually. Annoying as the mini 3 was announced weeks after I bought the 2. It works more than well enough for now

Hey Adam, this year will be my first season, got 8 booked so far! Can you share your experience on when is the 'booking season' for the UK? Are there better times of the year to run AD campaigns than others? Poured over your BTS multiple times before I shot my first weddings last year, it really really helped me! Looking forward to the up coming content!

Great stuff Niall, well done! Bookings wise Jan- feb are the best months but other than that, they can come at any time. Not something I do personally but if your trying ads, now is a good time and I would focus on venue/location targeting. Not much experience with paid ads I’m afraid!

@@AdamWingFilms how do you find the a7s ii body ? I picked one up last year and was having a few issues with the focus. was using autofocus mind you and leaving it as a safety camera, losing focus a lot.

Adam I love your minimalist approach, I think your the only guy on KZread that doesn't seem to bother with any other audio recorders eg Zoom H4N or Tascam Dr40X to patch into a mix desk or speaker via XLR or stereo cables to capture clean band or DJ audio, just wandering if a couple asks you to provide their first dance in full using the 2 angles how you capture the audio there (that's a big thing in Northern Ireland to have as well as ceremony and speeches in full). The other thing audio wise is that you don't use any shotgun external mics on your cameras, assume your happy enough with what the native mics capture if you did want to have any ambience sound in your films......I'm starting out this summer with 2 free weddings to kick start my portfolio and audio is a minefield that blows my mind lol

Hey mate, yeah it’s rare that couples ask me but I do occasionally provide the first dance. I just use the audio out the camera for that. Can’t see why there would be any complaints. But you could always Mic the groom for it if you’re wanting to capture their audio. I think mainly they just want to hear their first dance song.
