I used to draw the *'Smiley'* on all my exercise books at school and loved the badge *then* however I don't think we need to be going back to this. I might be in the minority but I like the current badge. Perhaps a nostalgic kit could be bought from the club shop with the smiley but not the official kits IMO

The current badge is one of the ugliest in the country. It's worse than crap. Almost anything (i.e. apart from the previously proposed salute one) would be an upgrade.

The smiley badge is iconic and a design classic. I've never understood why the club hasn't utilised it more over the years particularly given the rather bland shield we've had for years now and I think was a product of the Ridsdale era. Having said that I may be a bit biased having had the admiral kits from the 70s including the yellow away kit until my mum gave them away to a charity shop when I went to uni!

I'm 32. Never saw us in the smiley, only saw one season with the rose. I'd absolutely love a smiley badge again. Never buy football shirts, can't remember the last one i bought, but if they did a proper Leeds yellow with some sort of smiley on it, I'd buy it full price instead of DHGate/China. Just to be one of the numbers and prove it sells.

Always remember the Jason Lee chants of 'He's got a pineapple on his head' and the very basic 'stupid haircut, stupid haircut oh-oh oh-oh' that Tony Daley faced whenever Aston Villa came to visit. I don't even recall his hair being that bad when compared to modern day barnets, but it was excuse enough for the Leeds fans.

My favourite has always been the all white shirt with the owl on from the 60s. I love mine. 😊 All white is all right for me. Each to their own though.

I'm in my 40s and never really studied the smiley badge; I just knew I liked it. I've only just realised it's LU in the logo. I'm ashamed of myself. Doh!

The smiley badge was designed by Paul Trevillion in 1973 who is still alive at 90 years old, so I imagine he'll get a royalty or he might have signed off that design back then. He's an interesting artist who did lots of sports illustration.

I’ve always liked the smiley badge, I’m 31 years old so never had the chance to wear it but recently in conversation my gf, she told me it looks like a penis tip with a little bit of foreskin. Says a lot about her tbh but now I kind of agree? 😂

The ‘Smiley badge’ for me came from the 70s era when we started to see a lot of American drama series on TV, such as cop dramas, based on the streets of New York City, where you always saw lots of graffiti on walls and specifically the Tube/Metro/Underground trains and train stations… so for me the Smiley badge seemed to be influenced by ‘Grafitti, bringing football and street art and culture’ together for the first time, which was unknown at the time, thus Leeds being the first to see that correlation.

Yellow shirts don't sell? I'd be interested to know how last seasons away shirts sold. My guess is not very well, hence why the Yellow is getting a run out.

I am obviously in a minority here. 69 now and first Leeds game for me was in 63. Seen a few badges in my time but the smiley for me was the worst. Looks like something Radz kid would have designed to go the U10's shirts. Never liked it and will never be convinced otherwise

The original smiley badge with no writing round it would be great Not the naff one that gets put on stuff in the shop from time to time Yellow away shirt would be great Some decent players to wear it would be nice I only buy the Yellow kit and i'm 64 Don't spoil it with Red Bull on it if you have to just put the bulls with no writing How can someone own the patent for our club badge Sue their arses " Why do we attract all these sponsors with Red connections A good thing about the smiley badge was modern day football fans didn't know what it was so you could wear it subtly without getting sussed I have the Smiley sticker badge on my door I have a smiley key ring Newcastle United had the same design as Leeds NU The Peacock signifies the fall from grace It should never ever see it again It only brings back bad memories Adidas make the worst kits ever they should stick to trainers

The smiley badge was very exciting when introduced ,i bought the home shirt with it on and the great away shirt with the shoulder to sleeve blue and white stripes.Paul Trevillion deserves great credit for the smiley, the warm up routines on the pitch, the prematch wave to the crowd etc, it all worked because Leeds under Revie were the best team in the country and it seemed so fitting they were being innovative in other aspects of fan engagement.Bring back the smiley!

Congrats Ed. Last season's kits were the best in years especially the home and my favourite the away. My 6 year old niece loved the pink. Doubt I'll be buying the yellow despite the extra lure of the smiley. If anyone from Adidas is reading can you get Ed in to do some originals stuff? The last efforts were lazy and bland with basically just the trefoil and the crest.....sort it out. Trefoil and 3 stripes.
