Following Lby online really made me feel like part of a community. They seemed to care about what we thought and answered some of our questions. EA and the other companies didn't have that kind of feel to them.

In this kind of game, you need to make your character the most appealing especially when you are controlling the 97% of the time. But Rod and his team didn't even try to hire a professional, the body anatomy of these characters is worse.

5 years in development and they choose the free asset from Unity, does 20M is not enough? at least buy the most expensive avatar asset for your game, 95% of the time, players are looking at these characters, and their faces are very uncanny after promising that they are listening to all criticism and feedback from almost 1 year ago.

Such a shame LBY got cancelled when it showed so much promise to be a great game especially with the modding capabilities and creativity possibilities Paradox were promising. I hope another developer with competent employees will pick this up one day and deliver what Paradox promised us. It could have finally given those materialistic bandits at EA a run for their money especially since there were no restrictions on it like the Sims but now we'll never know and never get to see it for ourselves😢.

GTA makes way way way more money than paradox in its entirety. 7.7 billion dollars by 2023, with 190 million copies sold. Sims 4 has sold 70 million. A company like paradox simply cannot afford to spend hundreds of millions (gta 6 is over 2 billion) on a game for over 10 years.

Here’s an interesting situation. Another KZreadr called Simmer Erin did a video on this same developer and their explanation of the LBY debacle. And if you read through the comments, she vehemently and relentlessly dismisses any and all messages that even remotely indicate EA was involved in the cancellation of this project. She even goes so far as to say such would have been illegal for them to do so. When I politely explained to her that corporate acquisitions of intellectual property are completely legal and occur all the time in the technology industry with the terms of nondisclosure keeping the details of the transaction and the limited number of parties to benefit from the buyout away from the public or even nonexecutive staff, she promptly removed ALL of my comments and responses from public view without so much as an explanation. Simmer Erin sounds like an EA shill on a mission. A mission which would be completely without purpose unless EA was involved. Just a thought.

Im confused, why would EA be responsible for cancelling the game when they weren't even involved in it? Paradox were creating the game, not EA you must be getting this game confused with Sims because they are two different things

And it all comes to an uneventful end as you canned this game not 3 months before (some probably delayed for the Xth time) early access release with failure. Damn it, I was hoping that this would be a good game and now I'll never know. Or did they kill the "scam"? Who knows.

Just heard this got canceled. Unfortunately, I stopped keeping up to date when they started bringing in whoever these random people were to talk about the game. Reminded me too much of Sims 4 promo and those game changers. Sorry to hear it was canceled, though. Thought it might be a good option to replace Sims, but guess not. 😕

Naa, just paradox looked at inzoi and realised that their game looked like old crap. Even before the inzoi trailer dropped, people were saying it looked old. It would cost more money to fix this than start from fresh with a new team. Also these devs were planning on allowing mods, paradox makes a shit load of its money from dlc.
