Hi, is this a girl, guest friendly hotel?
Yes it is 😄
Liked นะครับ..
Yep i live in Kanchanaburi ( btw its pronounced kan tan aburi) and your vid is a pretty fair representation of the strip at night - theres stuff going on if you look for it lol!
Thanks 🙏 I will be returning next year do you have any recommendations for hotels, bars and restaurants.
@@paulsrighteye Hi, you've done one very good hotel here already so my suggestion is try one of the floating River raft hotels, I've done it and it's a different experience for sure. Restaurants - Tapas thai . Bars - sugar members (and maybe Aussie rules but never been there yet) keep up the good works
@jimhollands1285 Thanks for the recommendations, I'll have a look at some of them next time 🙏
Great review, thank's❤
You are very welcome 😁 thanks for watching 😎
are all the room looking down on soi 7 my friend ?
No, you can get rooms at the back of the hotel, it would be the same view as from the gym 😁
Hi Paul. Do I need a dengue fever vaccine if I go to Kanchanaburi
The best thing I can say is go to your doctor and ask. I don't have one. 💉
That's great.
So glad you enjoyed the video 😀
Mad dogs and.....................................too hot for me!!
Yep, definitely a case of shirt sleeve order 😎
You didn't mention the complimentary Thai woman who walked by when you was filming your bathroom bit. Blackwoods does look nice but its on noisy soi 7 and expensive. I use March hotel nearby on a much quieter soi
I've never stayed at the March hotel so will have to look at that one. I thought the same about Soi 7 but the hotel is new and well sound proofed so you don't hear too much noise from the bars. Well spotted she says hello 😁😁
The room was good, but I had a helluva time dealing with the thermostat. My room stayed warm all 3 nights.
I’ve stayed there a few times great location very comfortable beds but it’s a bit expensive
I suppose it depends on what time of year you go. We went low season and got a great price 😀
Cool video mate keep up the good work
Thank you so much 😊
Is it possible to smoke on the balcony?
Yes you can, on the balcony at the front of the hotel. I don't know if you can smoke on the balcony in the bedroom 😎
You can smoke in room balcony. I stayed here for a week last year.
I smoked a few joints on the balcony
I stayed at LK metropole my last visit to Pattaya, but my buddy stayed here for a couple of nights. He told me he was glad to check out! Keep the reviews coming
That's so interesting, I would love to know your friends views on the hotel and why he was glad to check out. It just goes to show how much hotels change from week to week In Thailand 😁
Would you prefer here or area lodge of you had to chose one ?
That's a great question both have their pros and cons I will have to look into that😁😁 That could be a subject for a future video.
@@paulsrighteye Areca lodge is Good but it would depend on where you want to be. Areca for LK metro. Blackwoods for Soi 6 and beach road. Blackwoods is more expensive.
It’s alway full even in October when I have tried to book
@roberthornbrook8374 I guess you'll just have to try and book early.
How's the night life here? Anything special or just a normal night life.
It's fairly standard for Thailand, a few busy bars and some nice restaurants.
What was the game changer? Nothing I could see after watching
It was the price, this was much cheaper than other similar hotels with breakfast in this area of Pattaya.
@@paulsrighteye loads of excellent hotels in the area for less than 1400 baht add on a multitude of breakfast options for less than 150 baht, that's less than the Heeton, I watched thinking that the hotel was doing some sort of serviced apartment package or something different from the usual. All you did was a hotel promo which wasn't in any way a game changer.
I'm sorry if you feel I have misled you in some way, but I still think this is excellent value for this level of hotel with breakfast for two people in this area. I recently stayed at the Acera lodge that was 1950 per night.
@@paulsrighteye agreed i think it is excellent value, it's also in a great location. I was just flummoxed about the 'game changer' quote 555
High price for low season no tub $28 on #Agoda cheaper hotels nearer to the #Pattaya beach
Hi thanks for your comments, Let me know of any cheaper hotels with breakfast you find and I will check them out 😄
Not quiet. I was there last december and it was a nigtmare. Children running through the hallways and screaming and no seat free in the pool. Some russian guests used to put the towels on the chairs and go to breakfast, back and then go to the room.... and seems to be normal for employees.... One time and no more.
Thanks for sharing your experience always good to get other opinions on the hotels.
Flick the towel off
Nobody gives a f about Russia
What was the mercure hotel,, good location, quiet, big pool,
Correct it was the Mercure hotel, great location.
Looks nice....good solid enjoyable review
Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed the video.
I just tried to book it for October the price of it the same price as a 5 star hotel in low season
Definitely worth looking around the booking sites for a good price.😁
If you open the food covers, close them again!
Thanks for watching, I will be much more careful next time.😁
Looks like a nice clean restaurant , how much they charge US $ ?
The price was THB499 which is about $14 with no taxes 😊
Would have been nice if more of the buffet was shown...
If you go to the Thai Gardens Resort Facebook page they post a lot of the picture from the buffet nights 😁
@@paulsrighteye It's more advice, take it or leave it, but I clicked on the vid to see a buffet, and there was not much buffet in vid...
@avernvrey7422 Thanks for the advice, I will take your comments on board 😊
Should go ...
Oh wow I've got to go here definitely
Yes it's a great value night out, I would recommend getting a table by the pool. 😎
Definitely going there
Yep, we had a good night, it was well worth the money 😁
Awesome place, I stayed there back in February as a cheaper alternative to the Nattee up the road. I thought the breakfast was one of the best I had in my whole trip. They even had soda bread to go with my bacon and eggs. Perfectly positioned for all the nightlife but not on top of things. The bar area is also great in the evenings with live singers and a chilled atmosphere.
Yes I totally agree with all your comments, it has one of the biggest selections of breakfast I've had in Thailand so far of any hotel 😎
Use the hotel late 2023 I enjoyed it great staff location enjoyed the pools. Rooms tidy and clean if your more budget conscious their other nice hotels nearby
Yes, it is a great location with two very good swimming pools 😁
Iv stayed there a few times over the years it’s a very nice hotel but terminal 21 wasn’t there then
That must've been about 10 or 12 years ago. I remember when the area that is now terminal 21 was a Kiss restaurant and a market.
@@paulsrighteye yes I used to eat in that restaurant on the way back drunk it was open 24 hours
That's mad, happy memories, do you still holiday in Pattaya?
@@paulsrighteye yes got a lovely lady there she lives up north and we go Pattaya sometimes we might pop there end of may
Where do you stay these days? 🤔
Always enjoy your clips. However I wouldn't stay there. Personally I go to pattaya to party. Look forward to your next clip. Thanks for posting
Thanks Tony, I stayed here because it was Songkran 🌊 and thought it would be slightly drier than in the middle of town. It was quite a nice hotel with a good breakfast 🥞
Stay out of the first bar in MYTH NIGHT complex, called Revive Bar, the manager scams you, adds drinks on to the bill, charged me 2700 baht, when I onlt brought 8 drinks,
Thanks for the heads up! It's always worth paying for your drinks as you go in bars 😎
@@paulsrighteye yes, lesson learnt lol
Great video. I come across Cha Am. Looks like a place worth spending a weekend.
Cha am is quite a relaxing place the hotel we stayed at was very nice and there are restaurants just down the road within walking distance.
Thank you for providing a good information about this hotel. Actually, I booked this hotel 8 days. So, I need informations about it.
I'm glad you found the video helpful, try to get a room without an adjoining door it will be much quieter for you. Hope you enjoy your stay in Pattaya 😎
@@paulsrighteye tHanks so very much!
I can't think of any reason to call that fun. I'd never go to Thailand during this festival. If they decided to do the same when I was going there. I'd cancel. You enjoy. I don't envy you
It's good fun when you want to join in, for a short time. We are staying out of town so we don't get too caught up in it unless we want to.
heard of this place years ago from friends was the place to go but looks like its died a sudden death...
It's one of the must walk up and down holiday places when in Pattaya to visit 😁. A lot of the action happens inside the clubs.
My favorite club in Pattaya Beach no longer exists. The Disco Duck was the happening place in the late 90s.
Not heard of that one 😁 where do you go these days?
at that price point not bad. Good clear video covering the facilities. thank you.
Thanks 😊 glad you enjoyed it.
That's your error. It's an overpriced, overrated dive. Sorry pal, only just viewed your video in its entirety and was impressed with the room size and hotel grounds. I agree that the breakfast was merely okay and yes Areca Lodge is in the thick of it. My personal favourite is D-Appartments opposite the Soi Buakhao entrance to New Plaza. It has very similar size rooms with balcony, small kitchenette and rooftop pool for 900-1000 baht per night. A small room without balcony is about 700.
Over rated and over priced for what it is. The breakfast, especially the coffee served, was disgusting.
I think you're paying mostly for a location, but I do agree with you about the coffee, it's not the best🤣
Cheers helpful video. I'm visiting Pattaya soon for the 1st time and struggling to decide on a hotel. Prefer with a pool and also with both a bath and a shower. Worried some hotels are too close to the action.
Well, for your first time in Pattaya you can't go far wrong staying here. At booking try to get yourself into the Corona building. 😁😁
For a first visit you can't go far wrong with Flipper Lodge hotel at Beach Rd end of Soi 8 . I think the clean, spacious rooms are 1600 ish baht per night with a good breakfast choice and a large rooftop pool. It was my first hotel I ever stayed at in Pattaya way back in February '07. Also you'll find it on websites, but you'll pay a small commission fee, so I just wander round Pattaya until I find a hotel to my liking. Which may involve staying in a bland place for a couple of nights, then booking in a nicer place long term and bartering a deal.
It's a good hotel (stayed many times before) however, on my last trip I went elsewhere. The main problem is that you can't get a lie in or even a mid-day nap in your room due to housekeeping having walkie-talkies on full blast from 9-10am.
Where did you stay last time always interested in new hotels?
@@paulsrighteye Amethyst, just round the corner. 👍👍
When I asked about a room in the Amethyst they wanted B 2,600 room only!
@@paulsrighteye Yikes. peng mak!!! I got a good deal, something like 1800baht with breakfast. That was last October, and I booked it 6 months in advance. x
thanks for sharing just found your channel but i noticed that The footage from 3:17 T0 3: 35 is soi diana pattaya,
Top of the class, Gold star for observation, you are right it got mixed in by mistake.🤣
Hi😊thanks your videos ❤ We very love cha am regent hotel and miss there❤ hope go to regent cha am soon❤ thanks ❤❤❤
You are very welcome 😁 Yes it is a nice hotel I'm hoping to go back myself 🌊🌊🌊
I stayed there a couple of years ago and stayed in the main building the only thing I did not like was very low water shower pressure besides that I liked my stay.
Glad you enjoyed your stay, I had no problem with the water pressure in the room I was in perhaps it depends on which building You're in! 😃
Keep hearing how good this hotel is but with the aircon on the balcony facing your seat puts me off
I suppose that could be a problem, maybe switch it off if you want to sit on the balcony.
Beware of booking a Superior room in the Evergreen wing, notice the photo on the hotels web site is shot at night with the rooms lights on, the reason is the room is really dark and drab , the net curtains on the right enclose a small (1m x 2M balcony) that has a wood screen on the outside blocking off most of the light . My room was very dingy and dated , had certainly not been refurbed , the bed was on quite a high platform which was a totally useless semi dangerous feature if you are short as I am, the bath is the same, you have to clamber into the very high bath tub to have a shower and reverse to get out onto a shiny tiled floor from a shiny bath tub with no bath mat or hand rails. When I asked to move I was continuously told the place was full so had to stick it out for five days as I had pre paid. As Paul says great location.
Thanks for your lengthy appraisal of your Evergreen room, you are correct they have not been refurbished in Evergreen. With the breakfast room abandoned and reception empty the Evergreen building doesn't have a very welcoming fill anymore. Onwards and upwards I hope you have a better experience next time you visit Pattaya. 😎
It used to be a bargain...like 7 / 8 years ago, but now it's way overpriced.
I've had a few people say the same thing on pricing, would love to know where you stay now.
@@paulsrighteye I like the Jomtein condo Airbnb options...
Overpriced with horrible service. Stayed numerous times pre and post covid. Breakfast is edible, will keep you alive. Front seating area / bar on Soi Diana was completed early 2018, old news and always empty. Corona was remodeled 2017, while we were there, joy watching them sand and paint exterior of building. Many better places to stay with better locations and price.
The exterior of Corona might have been decorated in 2017 but the interior room makeovers were definitely finish last year, I witnessed them being done in October 2023. I agree it's becoming pricey would love to know where you stay now, always looking for recommendations.
@@paulsrighteye Last several trips, been staying at Caesars Palace on second road. Good price, not the fanciest at all. Soi 7 and Myth town are very short walks. Soi New Plaza next door. Easy to get everywhere you want to go!
Great place to Stay and reasonable rates ,ignore the Foolish comments from another know it all. Breakfast choice is massive, room rates start at about 1450 baht and the staff are great. Location is brilliant being 6 minutes walk to beach 5 minutes to Treetown. Anything better or equal to this and i am all ears...
Stayed there twice before and again next month Never any issues with the room or the staff
@@tillithurts335 I have stayed numerous times over the years andi still think it is great. Rates have gone up slightly due to room refurb but for me i still rate it highly.
