As an artist who has tried it all, from paints to embroidery, I've finally found my happy place, pottery! This channel will be a spot that I can share my ceramic journey with you. My goal is to both help you learn more of the craft and to bring you along as I learn new things myself. Happy throwing!

I like the cup with the pale orange inside and the sheep outside. Looks great. I love finely speckled clay too. I love the glaze on the shot glasses and footage 13:24. I wondered if you hollowed out the sheep nose? Since it’s a thicker body of clay.

I love the baby’s ashes urn, the awesome Doberman mug and tpot set ❤Where did you get your tshirt?
Beautiful work!!!
Beautiful. 😢
Wonderful kiln opening. So very creative. Love the vase and mugs.
Everything is gorgeous!
I just have to say, before I start watching that your short is HILARIOUS!!!!!! Wow!! The urn is absolutely incredible!! It’s such a beautiful and super meaningful piece!! Wow. I love the rest as well, as always of course.
Thank you Amy for sharing! Love your pieces❤
Thank you for sharing 🇨🇦
Beautiful work, and you had me in tears with the memorial pieces. I know the recipients will be very pleased with them.
Oh wow, how beautiful and crushing at the same time.
Such a wonderful idea ❤ and "meaning" for the memory of Nixon Thomas - so sad, that he was here only for that short time 😢 (Excuse my English, I hope my words make sense for you...)
If a sheep doesn’t have a black face the ears are not black but pink. Thats the first place my gaze landed and i thought they were the eyes. Otherwise, spectacular piece.
Omg I loooove them! Will a preorder be available like last year? If they sell out before? I need to add to my flock collection from your
I will just be having in person sales at flock! I am hoping to make enough to last the weekend!
Why!?
Some pottery end up not coming out useable, whether that is due to cracks, glaze flaws rendering them not food safe, etc.
Desert Dunes would be a good name for that dusty glaze
You talk so much holy shit 😅 Nice stuff tho
Not on the topic of this video, but I was watching some older ones.. do you mind saying where your glaze "golden hour" comes from? Just found you and enjoying your videos!!
Amber Quartz by Mayco!
Milky latte ☕️
I love so many of your pieces, shape, sizes, colors, everything. Oh and glazes, beautiful!!! Where did you purchase the "black copper" glaze? Or did you make it? So pretty.
Thank you! Copper Ore by Mayco.
@@penningtondesignpottery Thank you Pennington.
This is perfect! Thank you!!
That yellow is beautiful
Is speckled birch winter wood or made by someone else?
Yes it is!
I just got my sea mix speckled yesterday
The sheep mug is gorgeous❤
That was some challenge! Good work!
Thank you!
The new kitchen piece is Amazing! I can see it on a lazy susan next to the stove with my favorite most used spices and EVOO along with wooden spoons. With the handle it can be portable for when my husband and I are both in the kitchen. Maybe you could make a raised ring in the bottom of it for setting your oil bottle and sell as a set? I DEFINITELY want one when you get it sorted and have gotten them made!
Yes, there are so many uses for it, I'm excited! And thank you!
Beautiful work. Where can I get one of those kiln mugs????
Thank you so much! I have only ever made the one mug for myself. I figured they would be so costly to make, with the outside being actual gold luster, that people probably wouldn't want to pay the price needed to make it worth it. lol
I am taking lessons on the wheel. So far I’ve had two and I can’t cone up and down because I don’t have strength in my arms. I really want to learn. Some have said my clay is too firm so I’m going to try another.. I love your work and the ease you do it with..
Do you slam your clay in the bag before you use is? Wedging a good amount should also help, and the last tip would be to brace your arms on your legs or torso. This will save you a lot of arm strength! Happy potting!
Sherry the sheep is so great.
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing!
I just found you on KZread and really enjoying your content. Thank you 😊 I’m a hobby potter starting to consider selling….
Thanks for watching! My advise is to go for it! I never felt ready, but you just have to jump.
Great demo!❤
Thank you! 🤗
I've started making shrinkage rulers for each clay out of a paint stir stick. That way I dont have to re calculate everything every time. Just the initial measurement of the stopper. Then I can attempt to throw to my premade shrinkage ruler. I have the one from diamond core, but not all of my clays fit it exactly. And I was always looking on websites to find the shrinkage rates. Now I just grab the stick for the clay im using. It's still dependant on my skills etc. But it's helping dial it in a bit. I didn't come up with it. Another potter suggested doing it and it's been a useful hand-built tool. 😊
That is a great suggestion! I'll have to make some of those. Thank you for the tip!
Have tou called the company that makes the shit glaze to see if there is something they can suggest? I just love your white pieces!
Yes, I called them this week and I'll be trying a few different things!
Beautiful pots! Would love to see you glaze the sherry the sheep mug! Do you wax the bottoms of your pots? Neat idea for a kitchen caddy, was thinking it’d be great for flatwear, salt n pepper and sugar bowl on the table
Yes, I think I will be doing a glazing video for Sherry! I only wax the pots that I am dipping in glaze, the blushed ones I do not.
Pennington--- I often find that 'less is more'. While I'm certainly not adverse to deep lush colors, more often than not, I gravitate toward monochromatics and pastels. To take it from 'ho hum' to extraordinary, I use Mayco's overglaze lusters. While a bit pricy, it moves the needle dramatically. The mother of pearl works remarkably well on white. It might just be a solution for you. A touch of gold on rims, flowers and leaves etc. bumps it towards the 'classic'--something with which I'm very comfortable. LMK if you give it a try and how it goes. Best of luck. P
I haven't used the mother of pearl, but I have used the Bright Gold and it is a lot of fun!
Love the tumbler with flowers!!
Thank you peach!
would love a black sheep!
On speckled birch 😍
I thought the same!
Love to see you throw the shots off the hump.😁 Is the white glaze crawling because its too thick?
I'll be doing a video soon I think! The bucket of glaze seems to be the right thickness, but one thought is that the rims of the oil bottles are pretty thin, I throw them thinner because I am not trimming those ones, and it may make it so the glaze is not absorbing into the bisqueware as well.
I love that Matte Lagoon Green color!!! Where can I buy it? Your work is amazing!!!
It's a mix of Mayco glazes, Leather and Green Tea.
I love all of these matte colors
love that creamy yellow, did you get a chance to see what it is and where you bought it?
Yes, it is in the description!
Sheepisly Me needs that mug!
I think we all do! It sparks joy for sure!
Thank you for posting your videos and your classy ceramics. Could you point me in the direction of the Lagoon glaze please? Who makes it? My research has not yielded a result. Thank you!

Yes, Beachy feel.
I LOVE the speckled handle on that mug!! How cool! I so love the opposite mugs as a set. I’ve found that sets of anything sell first for me. I absolutely love the first mug!! That is just sooo cool!!!! I’m loving the shot glasses for testers as well. Love all of it! Thanks for sharing.
And thanks to you for watching! The speckled handle mug I was tempted to keep to be honest!
