Welcome to Bike Revz, this channel is all about Motorbikes, bike reviews, bike news and generally stuff that I've learned whilst getting back into biking.
Motorcycling is more a way of life than a hobby or just a mode of transport. Come and join me on this adventure and let's have a bit of a laugh doing it.
Mark.

My lad and me from Germany stayed in room 34 during practice week 😂
The Race dates are fixed, always have been. 1st Sunday in June is always Mad Sunday
Practicing all areas of bike control has to be a good thing !
Looks so much better !
Looking forward to your review 👍🏻
Great real life vid 👍🏻 It's a really nice island to visit, even outside of TT week - the speed the racers go on those roads is insane, it doesn't seem possible.....all those boy racers who think they're fast, go to the TT and feel humbled 😮
I've been doing all my tyre changes for a number of years now. Changing tyres is easier if it's a warm day, or if you warm the tyres up before doing the work. I've got a simple bead breaker machine, so that's never a problem. Zip ties work really well - the more you change tyres, the easier it gets, but don't try do the work when the tyres are really cold....they're a b*stard to work with when cold !!
Get yourself to the NW200 in Northern Ireland you will love it
Good video pal I went for the evotech one on my speed triple 1200 rs as it hides all the wires . Leiker exhaust next for me .
Where was your plate from

Hi Mark I have been watching your videos from the start of your z900 until your new 1200 how do you find the triple compared I am going to road test a speed triple this week anything I should look out for ?
Hope you enjoyed the test ride on a Speed Triple. The extra electronics are great to have and not too much so I like that aspect. Then of course that power which you might not fully appreciate on a test ride. I'm still getting used to it, the speed and excelleration on this thing is simply immense.
I have been eyeing a new Indian Scout as my next bike .. hopefully in a year or two :)
Taking one for the team 😂 Great stuff!
Great Video mate! On my third year with my 1200rs and love it more every day! I got a cheap tail-tidy at first (can’t remember the make) but found it looked well…cheap! Ended up going for the Evotech which looks absolutely perfect and as if designed for the bike in the factory. Don’t go for a cheap rad guard as some can restrict airflow, which for a Euro5 hot running bike is not ideal. I also PPFd my black one as modern paints an be a tad shite! Regarding the bike… I had some problems at first which have all been fixed by the recalls and under Warrenty. Had over 7000 miles of trouble free madness since then. Subbed your channel and am looking forward to some more 1200rs reviews ‘n’ stuff
Good job , i would highly recommend a puig screen , keeps the wind blast off , looks great . and a leiker exhaust, then you've got a great bike , afew track days , and you'll realise how good it really is . Enjoy.
Great Video Mark, I just sold my Z900RS and got a Street Triple 765rs. I had a ride on the Speed triple and thought it was an animal!! but then again it had a full Yoshi exhaust and had been dyno'd up real sweet! Good luck on the bike, it looks stunning. Will you be doing any travel vlogs on her??
What's the difference performing wise? I'm looking at the z900 and 765, among others.
@@101steel4 Two very different bikes indeed. Performance wise, best to see the bike data for that. Mine was tuned up really well. I'll miss that bike.
Great video! I went there during the practice week and had a very similiar experience with the weather. You have to see the bikes fly by once in your life!
Which headstand did you get? I ordered one from Amazon for my 2020 Z900, but I have to remove the front fender to get the pin into the steering sector as it pushes down on my fender. I'm gonna send it back.
I did a vid on stands at the link below - see about 4 mins in. It's a biketek stand with a extra head pin that you buy separately. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dWSiqNOJhrOfnZs.htmlsi=bobqGlwiTtnK6Q0U
I'm lucky I have famliy in the IoM so get to see most of the racing, TT, Southern 100 and Manx GP. Recomend you go to see the Souther 100 a lot less people so the roads are empty the racing is excellent round the Billown course. Once you been to the TT you will always want to go back.
Tedium ad Nauseum.
99.9% reliable- not bad? Had a gs 1200- 99.9% unreliable.
Better seat comfort on 125s from honda and ktm
Many thanks
Thank you for the video - do you know the dimensions of the opening?
went to sicily. didn't open the box/drone the whole trip (4400km) :)))
I bought these bags for my 2020 Z900 and I'm waiting for them to be delivered any day soon. Did you notice any scratches or wear on the back end of your bike after riding with these bags? Thanks for the review, appreciate it. Cheers
You definitely need something to protect the 'corners' of the tail plastics. Either a strip of tape along each edge or just throw a soft cloth over the tail before fitting the bags.
@@bikerevz Thanks for the advice, appreciate it. What kind of tape do you recommend? Something like painters tape?
@@hisgen01I cut strips off the plastic sheets they provide (about an inch wide and 2 inches long) or I used good old black electrical tape.
@@bikerevz great, I will try it out
Well, no real harm was done, and a lesson learned. Anyone could have made that mistake. Greetings from a fellow Z900 rider from northeast Mississippi, U.S.A.!
Had a brilliant week topoff by seeing another GTS1000 roll on next year.
Hi Mark. Just discovered your channel and as another Z900 owner am loving the content. Like others have commented here, I have no problem with my pillion seat popping off and it clicks on dead easy with no fonzing required. I must admit I struggle to get much under my seat. I have a disc lock and stand puck.
You are missing the elephant in the room...... You've just spent close on £200 for both front and rear stands. Plus you gotta be in location where those stands are to use them. As you stated, you don't track, rather bop about the country roads etc.... oh, that elephant.... get a center stand and you can do virtually all work on your bike, no matter where you are (you ain't carrying them stands about when out tootling in the lanes). I can see a racer using these paddock stands, but not a regular Joe-Shmo who requires a stand (side or center) for normal usage. That being said, thanks for demonstrating how it (front stand) works.
The hubs and I also used Duke Village this year - 3:44 2024 - great accommodation , great food and wonderful staff! Too bad it rained so much this year . That being said, for our first time to the iconic race had a wonderful time . We were able to get some photos with more than one of the riders and even got a free lift home from a local one evening! Good stuff ! Spent a fair amount of time looking to KZread for info and there just wasn’t enough about Duke travel as far as what to expect so I’m happy to see what you have here in your video!
md is far from grumpy have a chat with him before you slag him off.
that was brilliant. i would love to go just to watch a couple of bikes go by. will watch this again.
Great voice over, you sound really natural. I find that the hardest part 😝
Cash is king 🙌
And the cost?
Good shout, I should have said - £1350 each.
go on tell us how much it cost from duke...
Oh, OK then it was £1,350. Probably going up next year, you know how it goes 😏
I only carry cash, if you don't take cash you don't get my business 🤷
I totally agree with you pal, cash is king 👍👍
Great insight from your visit. You're right about booking early, if going by bike you need to book ferry tickets a year in advance. Next year's tickets went on sale on May 20th and probably sold out within a day or so. This year's weather wasn't great so it's best to try and go for the full week or so to allow for delays. If the weather plays ball there's time off to explore the island. The videos and tv coverage are brilliant but nothing beats actually being there.
Thanks for this. I’ve had my Z900 for a year and haven’t adjusted anything. I saw a Dave Moss video too and am now aware that o could improve things massively. Thanks for the straightforward approach. It’s given me the confidence to have a go. 👍🏼
Dave is awesome to learn from. Z900 is easy to set up. My ‘17 had the front rebound way too soft so I had to go all the way closed and rear so hard went all the way open. So rear will get ok as oil wears… front will need thicker oil. Too thin from factory. There’s an option for rear to install ohlins factory shock from the special edition 900 bike. Great for using with a passenger.
its on my wish list, covid put paid to my last attempt.
Funny I was recommended those metzeler tyres,, I looked at the roadtec o2 and metzeler z8 that ,, I settled on a pirelli gt in the end because they are on offer at good reductions from £340 to £240,, I looked at continental to but again they are north o f 300 quid, so tyres have got expensive.
was looking for tyre reviews and then was the sign saying gloucester:)
I know it's a year on but, 0000 steel wool, great for stainless and getting rust off of chrome too. Make sure it's 0000 though. I use it all the time on my Cb1300 and Fj1200 👌
The SE is Not ment for commuting. It's a sport tire with touring ability. Go for the harder regular tires, and you'll have less issues. I have pulled power wheelies on M9RR's if pouring rain on 2 of my bikes (ZX10R and S1000R). The Angel ST is basically an old and wors version of the Angel GT, but are more than capable of commuting. I'll be checking that review.
Hi. Whats the name of this suitcase holder or some link to buy? Thx
Oh dear sorry for your loss 🤔😁
I’ve been using RoadTec01 for several years, and I’m getting around 10-12,000km out of the rear…witch I think is fearly good. The have never let me down, still in our cold summers in Norway. And yes, me and my Buell XB12S love twisty roads!
Why couldn’t you fix the mirrors on the existing bar ends like you did with the ones you bought, they seem to be the ideal shape? Thanks for the video, really got me thinking whether to fit bar end mirrors on my 2017 Z900 which I love, even toured down to the south of France £ Lake Como on it 👍
You got a triple now? Would be good to understand the reasoning behind it etc
