To fill up the mall, all the street traders in Umuahia and its environment should be moved to the mall. This will allow the street traders the oppurtumity to sell their goods on a conducive environment and rent reduced for them. Just and advise.

@UgochukwuJoel-bx9ym The impression I got from the Igbos is that all the Southeastern states are wealthy and they are the only people doing businesses in Nigeria. Why is the mall empty now? I think the mall needs strategic marketing to woo those layabout traders in Lagos to come and invest in their land. At least, the government will not demolish their stalls, and they are also in their local environment, boosting economic development. Why una day wait now? Otti is waiting. All Igbos should take up this challenge, too. Let's make it happen to fill up that mall chap chap.

Don't you think you're being unfair to Umuahia Mall? It takes time for malls to be filled up. People have to rent and furnish. All the malls I know right from the first one at the Palms Lagos, took a while to fill up. The new one in PH also took quite a while. Just chill and don't sound so disappointed. Instead, appeal to businesses to come and rent and open so that the place will become active. There are some shops that follow Shoprite wherever they go: shops like Gene Bendi. They will still come there. The only disappointing thing I saw in your video is the low quality car park pavings and maybe the impolite securty man who failes to understand that the mall is a public place and that you can't stop people from making videos with their phones.

Soludo has grabbed my attention by awarding construction contracts to Indigenous firms. To drive progress, he should ramp up recruitment of more firms and encourage healthy competition to improve quality. It doesn't matter if the initial works seem substandard; over time they will improve. Just look at the journeys of Japanese and Chinese engineers, who didn't initially produce high-quality work either. I can vividly recall when these countries started their journey to technological advancement. At that time, Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese, and Igbo (Nigerian) products were associated with low quality. Fast forward a few decades, and Japanese, Taiwanese, and Chinese-made products are now sought after for their high quality. Who’s missing from this landscape? Igbo (Nigerian) made products, deliberately held back. Nigeria is hindering its own technological advancement by stifling the innovative spirit of the Igbo. It's imperative for every Southeast leader to make conscious, deliberate efforts to promote and support local innovation, manufacturing, and construction, in order to build a region that can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the rest of the world.

Enugu, Onitsha, Abakaliki, Awka, Asaba, even Umuahia looks better than Owerri. What has our leaders been doing in imo state? OWERRI is our pride in imo state but unfortunately it is the worst state capital even some poor northern states have better state capitals. OWERRI has been over run by bad roads, very dusty and filthy, no it’s raining season almost everywhere in OWERRI is potopoto. Okorocha wasted 8yrs building nonsense that collapsed almost immediately he left office. Now uzodimma has completely failed in delivering any key infrastructure in the state. OWERRI is a pigsty ghetto and does not have any semblance of a state capital. Look at the type of muddy bad roads in a state capital. Imo state has a very long way to go .
