    Bullshit. Go to a legit BJJ school and spar with a high-level woman. Jiu jitsu was made to even the odds for a smaller person defending themselves against a larger attacker.

    Kind of need to separate NCAA from the Olympics. Going way back, we have to mention Dan Hodge, Yojiro Uetake and possibly Bill Koll for college best. Maybe even Vern Gagne. Then, we have PAT Smith, eh? It's hard not to rate Dan as the best and Wade second. With hundreds of schools having dropped Wrestling, what Cael achieved is not as great as it seems. The late, great Dave Schultz won one NCAA title but shone after college, to be sure.

    It's easy to do if your opponent will just stand up like that, but in real the one who does the double underhooks could take you down in no time, the best thing to do is to prevent getting double underhooked

    This inside trip is a beautiful move to own whether youre using single of double overhooks. I'm a rookie and since I started using this am scoring lots of takedowns including yesterday wen I took down a 300 pounder (I'm 170). The key is to defend against your opponent inside trip wen u set up for it.

    @ooogooman Maybe you are saying that coz you've heard names like the great gama and dara singh :) But the wrestling era was way back in the early 19 hundreds till about 30yrs back bro :) Now, we can hardly find a wrestling school... what was know in India as- "Garadi mane".

    @Chasen14 MMA isn't a big thing in India. I m a patriot, but still Indians are know for their sedentary life style n pot bellies. Wrestling n stuff was popular in the era of the great gama and dara singh. Now, we hardly find gyms or schools of wrestling.

    @ParkFight Its all in the timing. First person to control hips and break posture will win. Had a larger training partner throw me with overhooks when I had underhooks. He beat me to the punch (breaking posture and hips).

    I was wondering if anyone knows the name of the technique called a "super Punch", or a leaping punch, one can cross a great distance in a short time and launch a powerful punch that looks like a lead jab and ends up being a full body straight right. I'm sorry about my ignorance, I am just learning and have a great respect for this style. Keep training and stay strong.

    You've obviously never been in a clinch. (no offense) The clinch is exhausting and if you're in the clinch on the losing end your head is being pulled every which way... i.e. where the head goes the body goes. You could try and knee to the groin but chances are youll get thrown off balance b4 you do as the winning ends main objective is to increase distance and pull your head to his knee. As for punches to the belly, while int he clinch its almost impossible to get a straight punch to the gut

  • @madeku
    @madeku14 жыл бұрын

    @solpapisolmook from what i can see, it's harder to knee or kick correctly when your head/neck is being controlled and pulled down. your height, and your depth is being checked, which will control your range.. you'll want your hands on his arms to keep some control, rather than strike.. the person putting the clinch on has more stability, since they're using the other person. the person in the clinch, once they lift a leg, they lose alot of balance. just from eyeballin it, no MT training here.

    @ solpapisolmook In a Thai fight, its illegal. However, I do understand you: it seems that during the clinch, the groin area seems very vunerable. So the next time you're in a street fight, don't knee to the sides, just go directly to the groin or stomach ;)
