I should be able to set my thermostat where I choose. I pay my electric bill. I am confused as to why my apartment complex The Preserve at Westchase in Houston Texas is monitoring and controlling what I set my thermostat temperature at. Its common sense how to set the temperature but unless it's being regulated or locked by the apartments why would they need to post this?

During a flush, does all the water from the tank empty through the channels below the seat rim? Or does some of the the flush water flow directly into the bottom of the bowl, bypassing the seat rim channels?

This is a very informative video. Thank You. I came across the running water problem and I got the solution from here. I don't think I'll be needing to replace the valve system (for now), but what amuses me, is the fact that 25 or 30 odd years ago, when I was still around 10 years old, I was able to fix the valve system completely with a Swiss Army knife. The problem back then was exactly that "sut" the stuff that is solid and gets through the filters somehow. It was so easy to take apart the system and remove the little piece of clay or whatever from in between the floater valve. Now days like you said, it's impossible to get it apart and fix it. What a shame. I know capitalism works its magic as well but it's just getting absurd. And to talk about the fact that this video is 9 years old :) Anyways... I got all the info I needed and then some :) I'm not even going to think about trying to take it apart when I get to the point of needing to, and just replace the damn thing. Hats off

maybe its just me but following these steps definately did help but. after relighting the pilot light, my water heater was working well for about an hour until it overheated or something and basically blew a gasket at the top. i had a plumber come over and the whole thing was a big mess. hot water pouring out from behind my washer into a drain (washer machine drain) i didnt know about (boiling water) im guessing it was overflow from the water heater, so keep in mind to watch for potential leaks when restarting water heaters cause they can break like mine did and cause a huge, hot, leak. and that overflow or unexpected hot water can really damage pipes (like my old apartments)

hi i have an old system which i have uploaded onto my profile image or chanel. i have just changed the inlet by fluide master but the tank will not fill rather water runs down the toilet bowl. do you know what else i can get? I also do not have or the old one didnt have a pipe coming out of the inlet valve neither does the new one

Thanks so much for this video, I have exactly the same valve and was able to adjust the float height exactly as you showed. You can’t imagine the grief I’ve had the last few weeks with the other half having to use the cold downstairs toilet !

Thank you so much. When I realized my water heater only offered warm water, it was 7 o’clock in the evening. I couldn’t find a plumber to fix it. Follow your steps, my water heater is back to work!

Absolutely no reason to put tape on the inlet. That's not where the sealing surface is.

...thank you! You showed how to remove that filter and it was very helpful. Other videos skipped that part and showed just a process of washing it. So, I had to find you! I may add that it was very easy to remove that filter, but when I started doing that, I was not sure how to do it and was afraid not to bend it etc.....

the designed sealing is to be by beveling down plane of adaptor, not by sealing tape.

i have watched 10 videos today trying to figoure out how to light my honeywell one and they were all wrong except this guy, he showed after holding it on pilot u turn it to on than click to ignite it, and boom mine lit right up

I replaced mine in just under 12 minutes... It was SUPER easy... If you know HOW to tighten / loosen nuts or turn on / turn off a water supply, then it's THAT EASY, people... It is SERIOUSLY THAT easy....
