Jacob Toddson

I am currently wandering the ancient world, in search of information pertaining to the religions of the past. I am not a historian, or any form of scholar, I am a photographer who wishes to capture the beliefs of the past first hand. I do this by practicing these ancient traditions, and talking with others who still keep old beliefs alive today.

I believe by wandering and sharing this information, I can help breathe new life into the old ways, as well as get one step closer to the wisdom of Odin.

Gaia is a primordial, like Chaos Tartaros & Pontus oh & Eros (the primordial of will/desire to create) Also Nyx & Erebus I imagine Terra/Tella or how was it spelled, too... They birthed titans, they weren't, but primordials..

Cornwall was a separate kingdom the same as Wales and Scotland and it has retained its Celtic differences until today and yet rarely see this refered to even though Queen Elizabeth 1 understood this fully, spoke of them as a separate ethnic group and even learned the ancient Cornish language.

I am not here to pick a fight, nor cause tension between you and I. However, I'm not sure if you are just into the spiritual side of Norse Paganism or are you into the Norse culture as well?. As for Celtic and Norse paganism they are not actually similar, that is a common misconception, that even you, yourself have stated. Anyways, For those who are about there ancestry and the spirituality that goes along with that heritage, those individual's do not simply start at just the bronze age and continue from only that point. it would be the same as picking up a book and beginning to read from the center of that book and proclaiming they know the whole story of said book. So, those into the culture of their ancestors start from Stone age, then work their way to the Bronze age and to the point the individual's ancestors halted their practices, Due to Christianity. What we find with the Celts, at least those of the British Isles and down through Brittany France and into portions of Portugal and Spain is that with every piece of evidence collected, The Celts are more akin to Natives of the America's. In Spain, we find a depiction of a man upon a horse reaching towards the sky with feathers in his hair. The metal piece is almost done in a cave painting style, It tells the story of transcending into a bird when one passes on to the next life. The Man unearthed near Stonehenge is depicted with feathers in his hair at the Wiltshire Museum. We wear Antlers, we have what the Navajo call the "Three pole hogan-Male". We have a lot in common with the natives. In fact, Gundestrup cauldron Features a Celtic God wearing a small, feathered headdress. The Celts kept these practices up until the time they were forced to stop by the Christianization that took place in Europe. I am sick and tired of seeking people making paganism into a leftist Ideology, I'm sick of people wearing jeans and a T-shirt, painting themselves up like clown's, getting Tatto's of the Mother Goddess symbol and acting like an SJW, as they proclaim to be pagan, simply because it's not Christianity. Until we stop putting political agendas of the day into paganism, we will never be anything more than a joke. To be a Celt is to be a tribal people, a people very similar to the natives of the America's. So, wearing toga's and looking as flamboyant as possible is a disgrace, I don't care what some one's sexual preference is, I just don't want it to be a main focus in Celtic culture. I want people to research, learn and make the appropriate regalia when conducting ceremonies. I'm tired of our cultures looking like carnival freak shows and being a place for woke people to cling to, not a fan of the left or the right. If any of this offends you, then that is your feeling's, you have the right to believe as you wish, I would never damn anyone for a belief unless that individual makes it an issue. Stay safe. Also, sorry for the long message but I felt the need to express my view's.

I feel a great connection to Artio. And when I'm reflecting or invoking or meditating, I often feel her physically in my heart and on my forehead between my eyes in the "third eye" region if you will. I've even, in moments of great joy or great sadness, seen in mind mind an image of her leaning down and kissing me there in a comforting way. I've even felt it physically once or twice. It may just be my mind delivering the reality I wish to experience, but what is reality anyway?

Perhaps those names of "gods" were the perception of the frequency the person was connecting with. Everything vibrates. Have always believed there is only one creative force (energy) that is instantly distinguishable when you connect, there are other lower frequencies Gaia, Jord (or whatever you recognize it as) etc that we can tap into.

Dagda is the same but it radiates downward into my throat towards my chest and body. Jörð / Dôn .... energy flowing in from all around but more so through the feet radiating upward all the way. Brigid .... The mind's eye.

Great video, I personally feel connected to God, as well as my Celtic gods and goddesses in nature. There's a lot of negative people in this world, those who seek to harm others, I try and give peace, understanding, compassion. But, it doesn't always work that way. So, to achieve true peace, we must disconnect from the world i.e internet and connect back to nature for our own health and peace of mind.

@@TheWisdomOfOdin well, it's a long story, but, I've keep it short by saying the invasions. However, I do believe I know why you are connected to the norse, you already know this, but your scottish, There is a connection there. So, I see nothing wrong in you being true unto the norse. I believe you to be wise, and you know your stuff. We may not always see eye to eye but, I still support you. However if you were roman, then I would have to put on my wode and prepare for battle, lol. The only thing I ask of anyone is be true to who you are, do research and wear regalia during ceremony. As long as it comes from an honest and true place, I take no issue. With modern day practitioners. But, I must also ad I do not like mixing celt and norse paganism together. That's just my own take. Though my internet troll/stalkers like to proclaim different. They are the ones no one seems to know, yet listen to out of context audio used to smear me. I've noticed you've had your own s-talkers who made video's about you, I think there full of them selves much in the way my online harassers are. You just keep doing the great work you do, cause I honestly do love your videos. Sorry for such a long reply, I hope you have a safe trip back to America.

I very much get an earth connection, I actually need to try harder into connecting with the other elements. I give thanks for my direction and gifts (I’m a healer, I own a wellness center) to the earth mother mostly but I know other spirits are helping, I silently thank them as well. I have noticed the balance is needed, between all of the elements and thus deities that are associated with those. Especially in my practice. I need to embrace the free thought to find solutions, the flow to communicate with my clients, the fire to push and stand firm, and the grounding to keep me level and true. 😁

Most recently I went to the beach after 8 years of not going, and just to make it even weirder for the public reading this, I live in Costa Rica, it is a tiny country in Central America where you can be literally without traffic like in 1/1.5 hr, BE in the beach city Jaco, but my the thing it that my father died 8 years ago and the last time I went to the beach was as a family with my father in other to get ready for the most horrible challenge I have faced so far in my life. So when I went to the beach i felt extremely connected to the gods, in the breeze, in the sand, even in the little forest I visited with a river, I felt deeply connected to odin and frigga when in the forest, but now I think I may have been confused and what I honestly felt was probably the call of Jord, I was fascinated and overjoyed to visit the beach again and enjoy its beauty, but definitely felt a call from Odin when remembering my father, at the end Odin IS the all father and main father figure, and even though I may not agree with all he does and stands for, he loves his children, and that reminded me of my father and it was very emotional and spiritual healing for me. Sorry for the long comment appreciate it if you read eveything~!

My feeling on my body is specific to each one it's an overall light feeling, that my body responds different its hard to explain. Im more emotional towards deities there's those i feel very serious with, others giddy, sorrow, you get it. I think its interesting to know where people feel or how they feel their gods

Dude, bro: take it from a Euro-American guy in his 60s who came out of church Christianity a decade ago to reconnect with the natural pagan boy who grew up in the woods of NJ - you are doing well and good, just continue evolving. I have been searching for - and with - the Divine Feminine all of my life. I'm a guest on Turtle Island and was a world-traveler. I taught world religions for twenty years. Some people want and need that more narrow approach to animist, etc., rebirth; the only danger is not having decolonized mentally enough from our US American Puritan and (now hardcore Evangelical) Christian empiresque mindset. That's what may makes some folks feel like you are somehow an 'infidel,' so to speak, an apostate. That mindset is too much like Abrahamic religion (or Hindu nationalism or Buddhist nationalism). It is the willingness to first accept that each person has their own path to discover and develop, and then to freely-gather into likeminded groups (or not), that I have happily embraced on my own new/old path and makes the reconnections with Earth Mother/Lover/Partner (b/c "like a mother's embrace" may not work for all of us) authentic and liberating for me.

Jacob you are looking absolutely fantastic! I don't think we have to be Norse Pagan OR a Shaman OR a Spiritualist. I think we can be spiritualists and pagans and practice shamanism all at the same time! Each feeds a different part of our existence. I am all for the path you are traveling, and when it comes down to it, even as leaders, we have to care, feed, and nurture our Spirits and be true to ourselves. Jord/Gaia is EXTREMELY important to me, and my practice...as are the Landvaettir and Husvaettir and my ancestors. Jord nurtures us and gives us all we need to survive in this world. Odin gives us the Wisdom we ask for. Thor protects his mother, and us! It's very much a "as above, so below" thing. We in turn nurture, protect and give wisdom to our children and others. The Spiritual connection...the healing qualities...our connection to the past and our ancestors...it's all connected!!! It's hard to put into words...but I feel this so deeply!!! Thanks for this great video!

Ive reached out and made offerings to Odin usually in my times of confusion or when I feel lost in my decision making skills. It only makes sense to seek the guidance of the wanderer in that situation. Its usually shoulders for me. During my divorce I reached out to Forseti to provide balance and equality in the outcome. That was felt in my heart. I actually made offerings to both gods during that time, equal outcomes as the ex was really trying to be toxic and take everything she could. This may sound dumb or ridiculous but the night of the offering I had a dream in which I met Odin and he said "The gods will rule in your favor" The dream ended and I came out of the divorce owing nothing with 50/50 custody split. I cant help but put some validity in that dream.

Thank you, Jacob! At 3:33 you suggest that you are at a place (Dunino Den) that was "more than likely used by the ancient Druids." How do we know that this was "more than likely" the case? Like many others, I'd like more info on the Druids than the accidents of History have left for us, and some more info about Dunino Den especially since I just recently visited the place. If you know of any peer-reviewed materials - archaeological, cultural, religious, historical-critical - that analyze the Den, please share them. In any event, the Den is a very interesting and peaceful place to see...like so many other places where one finds ancient ruins in Scotland. Pax!

I have been a huge e.d.m. fan for going on 30 years ~ ( i was into german techno before it was cool )~ I can say that going to dance events has changed my life . dancing for hours around other people, no judgment, everyone is dancing together , its a very shamanic experience. I would call it a ritual . So i'm obviously not against a.i. but when it comes to corporations and companies that lean on it too much for customer service is when it begins to bug me. So many simple issues could be easier resolved if we could just talk to a person on the phone instead of a computer .
