I'm Veronica! I love Linux, old computer hardware, and explaining things.
Some folks call me the Linux Mom, and that works for me. I'm a sysadmin and COBOL lady who's posting fun content about cool things you can do with Linux, as well as some fun retro tech stuff I come across!

the only good reason i can think of for RW_LEGACY is if you don't want to open up your device.
I wonder if there's a way to get audiobooks from Libby on an old ipod. That'd be perfect for me.
That would make sense. Looks like a reskinned Deb installer
I did the same thing with the cover...whoops
Does changing the os affect the warranty? Can you do dual booting with graphene?
Are you keeping up with the Commodore?
Miss, I have Linux mint, i also have over 50000 files on my laptop. I am looking to see how rmfind will work as I have watched some doing this and are going to fast for me, Can you help, Plrase
Are you still keeping up with the Commodore?
Are you keeping up with the Commodore? You made me remember about Giana Sisters, a bad rip off of the Mario Bros :D
Free geek twin cities the goats!
😃👍
Didn't know about the file size option. Very useful!
The commodore is keeping up with you!
Currently watching this video on debian 12😂
i'm stuck between choosing Rocky linux and Arch linux
COBOL is widely used. The problem is it doesn't pay for the workload demanded, and even the offshore companies don't see enough profit to really want to do it anymore. You don't want to be the last person standing at that type of job just to be able to have job security.
debian’s my favorite choice for servers tbh
Waiting for one on fzf - I feel that one is super powerful

Did anyone notice the directory in which the script for this video was in, is spelled "Scirpts" good you didn 't look for the Scripts Directory. / :) . You're Awesome Veronica!
I love the shirt! Ethernet twisted pair? :D
Are you keeping up with the commodore in the comments? Hmm, that sounds strange.
Thanks , you're very clear
Nice video, and I’m happy to see people still using find. Be careful with quotes! The double quotes you used around *.txt will still allow the shell to expand the wildcard instead of passing it to find. You need to use single quotes, or put \ in front of the *. Your example passed into find a list of filenames, not the pattern *.txt
Giannis would like hear terminal nerditude playlist!
Scirpts.
HAHAHA!!! Am still using Debian Buster (Debian 10.10) w/ KDE Plasma 5.14.5. That's because my hard drive failed, and I need to give up my internet connection to have it replaced, which I cannot afford right now. This is why I prefer Debian - it just works, it's FOSS, and oh--it comes w/ a free set of compilers. ! BTW, I have never used Debian Testing because I don't have more than one computer.
find is one of my most used commands. Great video.
'cause the Commodore's keepin' up with you.
Didn't know the "+", thanks! On huge directories I still do something like: find . -type f -print0 | xargs -0 egrep -l "myregexp" because at that time command lines couldn't be too long. "-print0 | xargs -0" to deal with names containing spaces.
saw the video couple of days ago, ended up needing this today. You saved me a loooooot of time and troubles. you're awesome
Are you keeping up with the Commodore?
I needed this video so hard. But I do love my ripgrep.
ripgrep is great! A very useful tool, and I'm eager to see it develop!

Very helpful but and this is a big but are you keeping up the commodore?
Are you keep up with the Commodore?
Been with SuSE since kernel 2.2.x (SuSE 6.x), and I'm SO glad (and lucky) I picked them when I started out. Avoided things like: RHEL/Cent/Fedora/ONSL drama, the "distro of the month" Debian based baloney, and so much else. Plus, Novell SuSE went to bat for ALL of linux against those cretins at Santa Cruz Operation. My entire career has been built on SuSE and it's been glorious.
Hats Off for such valuable videos. It was worthy of your time if you consider -mtime and -ctime with find . It helps linux administration a lot on daily basis.
