    Hi Jill. Good to see you again. Geeeeeeeze. What a roller coaster you 2 have been on. I hope you’re both healing ❤️‍🩹. My hubby and I just got over a bout of covid but we had a mild case and our health care provider discouraged paxlovid. And wanted us to just treat our symptoms. Our temps never even got to 100 F. We are both back to normal. I’m thrilled you’re back to vegan. I’m basically whole food plant based but there is meat in our house which I will admit to eating occasionally. I can do without it . The husband needs a bit more convincing, but his consumption of animal products is much less than it was before the heart attack and triple bypass in 2016. I’d love to see your hands on videos as opposed to voice overs. Thank you. Prayers to you and the director for healthier times ahead.

    Where do you get your raw cashews? I can only find small quantities and they are very expensive.

  • @Jill4Today
    @Jill4Today4 күн бұрын

    Costco sells raw, unsalted, at a very reasonable price. Cashews do run more expensive than other nuts, but most recipes that call for cashews usually need 1/2 to 1 cup

    Trader Joe sells raw cashew pieces; they are cheaper than the whole nuts. Since those get blended anyway, we don't need the whole nut. That is what I buy. :)

    It is possible to make bread from freshly milled flour and water only ? I know flat bread is possible to make with only 2 ingredients but what about 'normal' bread ?

    Sure, fresh flour is good use. But you'll need the yeast to produce bread.

    I'm so sorry to hear about all of this! I so enjoy your videos, but understand that you need to take care of yourselves. My husband and I have been very careful as I was diagnosed with cancer and a heart condition. The summer of 23 we took a vacation, and was mask free. Plan to do the same this year. 🤞 Doctors suggested that I mask up in the fall and through the winter. Please know that I am thinking of you guys, and wish you all the best! I hope Randy gets through this soon!

    i was just thinking about you yesterday so i googled Jill and nothing came up but then today i remembered the name of your channel Jill for today. i probly have not seen that since 5 years? have not seen or thought of searching until yesterday my radar was onto something. i have a weird 6th sense. i hope you are all doing well sorry to hear about it. i was vegitarian for 6 years. i like beef now been watching dr ken barry can not do KETO meat is too expensive. i feel ya with the animals but it is cruel what animals do to each other the big fish eat the little fish. were omnivores scientifically speaking you can still eat meat and not feel guilty it is the law of the universe. whatever is best for your health is the best choice. Keto claims to cure alot of ailments but everyone is different O blood type is the meat eater i am A so suteible for a vegetarian lifestyle. they did not specify rh negative or rh posative i am A Negative a 'mysterious' blood type. i read the book called eat right for your blood type. Apricots are like medicine to me. so it said. ok goodbye blackberry jam that one is my favorite. not apricots. oh well. Hey i am not married and i do not have kids. my uncle tom and amanda were never married everyone assumed that they were they were not but they lived together for 25 year. my sister never had kids and my other sisters son dont want kids our family is the only one all my cousins are married with children a few of us here never were. being from Iowa it is your considered very strange and dont fit in. can't blame my sister for moving to Oregon 40 years ago. lol A Conversation with Phillip Deere kzread.info/dash/bejne/mYyGq6OJaMbcl7w.html

    So good to see you again! So sorry about the crappy health issues going on. Seems like Randy’s Covid was a blessing in disguise since you now know about the AFib … I too have AFib.. and was on a blood thinner but last year I almost died and had to have emergency surgery bc of cardiac blood clots. Drs are saying it was from the blood thinner. Now I’m just on baby aspirin. A routine ultrasound found the fluid around the heart. So glad you are plant based again! We are also but we still do the beyond products and tofu and protein powders to get our protein in. Personally I like seeing all of you when you are cooking. :) Be well and take care and looking forward to your next video ❤️

  • @Jill4Today

    Hi Rosabella -- so good to hear from you. I'm sorry to hear about your AFib. It sounds like you had great medical attention that caught your serious cardiac condition. We'll keep you in our thoughts. I also will keep an eye on Randy and the blood thinners and ask his doctor about this issue. Regarding plant-based foods. We eat a lot of tofu, protein powder and such. We'd like to cut out all the processed plant foods, like burgers and cheese especially. It's a slow process. But we'll try to cut most of it out because we eat too much of it. Take care of yourself. I'm happy you wrote in, -Jill

    This is an extremely easy, no- fuss recipe. It's great for beginning bakers or for those who want to whip a quick loaf of bread. The one rise is really enough for this recipe. I hope that helps. Of course, you can always embellish it with seeds or nuts, a second rise if you want, etc. But the loaf stands alone just as it is

    Sorry for all you have gone through. I started watching your channel because I had just retired and moved to condo. Big changes. Would be interested in how you and you husband enjoy/manage condo life. Good luck!

  • @Jill4Today
    @Jill4Today9 күн бұрын

    Hi Debra - thanks for writing in. We have lived in our condo for 22 years. We love the freedom it allows us not having to do outdoor maintenance, etc. It does have its drawbacks as not really having any space to garden other than our deck....but to tell the truth, we'd be too old and creaky to manage a garden. 🙂 I think the thing we'd found important is to get to know your neighbors but not necessarily socialize with them. If anything happened and there was a riff between you and them, you'd be stuck with neighbors who might be difficult to live around. I hope you'll continue to watch the videos I make. They certainly are not all glitzy like the young'uns do, but they work. Take care, Jill

I had to quit eating meat abruptly only messed up a couple of times when my husband noticed in an ingredient food. I had to change due to a food allergy to meat I found out after a surgery. I have an extreme low immune system and handclapped along with an adult son who is now working part time he has autism. I keep cleaning and washing house in case him or my husband bring it home. I understand the cleaning and washing -- when Randy was really sick, I had pop up lysol wipes in every room, hand sanitizer bottles everywhere. I nuked anything he touched, and sanitized any furniture he sat it. Whether it was Lysol spray or the wipes. I'm sure it helped. I'm very pleased to hear your husband likes the videos I make.
