Y'all have OCD too?! I felt so seen when Jack and Ethan talked about their intrusive and impulsive thoughts and how your mind makes certain things correlate to others (like the stepping on cracks or having to do certain rituals). You have no idea what it means to know that those I look up to or find comfort in also have this. I just... I feel seen.

My senior year math teacher did not give a fuck about what we did. To be fair, he taught the lessons fairly well, but then he would immediately go to his desk and assign homework and everyone in the class would just open straight to the back of the book and just write the answers. He would see we were doing this and occasionally be like “make sure you’re doing the work correctly” but that was it lol

I was the instant mash potato girl! I was with the guy for 5 years and we were about to be engaged. I was never caught for the damage and as for the two friends I ended up not doing anything because I didn’t want all of the damaged be pinned on me and I was mainly mad at the guy due to receipts of him saying we were on a break thus leading the throuple to happen (since the two friends thought we weren’t together based on his lies). However, the guy thinks too this day it was one of the girls in the throuple that damaged his car because there were jealousy issues happening leading to a messy break up when I made my move.

i read somewhere once, ages ago, that somebody that had been cheated on, got back at the guy in a very funny way. she still had the key to his apartment and went there while he was out, and just superglued everything in the apartment together, like a steak to the plate it was sitting on, then the plate and fork to the table, etc etc just tons of very minor annoying things that are not worth enough money to sue over but is still the epitome of infuriating lmao

i totally get both sides with the build a bear thing. like maybe he actually just wanted to be nice and take his shot, even if it was a bit much, but at the same time i do understand how for the girl it can be very creepy plus in real life its not as simple to just "politely saying no" to a guy. you all know the statistics and how some guys can be. it can go sour very fast and i do not blame any girl who is cautious because of that, even if she accidentally comes off as misleading. it just not that simple in real life, there is no black and white solution for this but as they said, in the end its just a piece of paper, he will probably forget about the whole incident someday too, so who even cares, enjoy your plushie

Yeah, therapists have no way of knowing whether their client is lying to them or not. Their client could be completely misrepresenting the situation they are describing to make themselves look better and the therapist isn't going to have any way of knowing any better. They'd have no way of realising that their client might just be a horrible, toxic, narcissistic person. They might be able to suss it out. Sometimes a therapist shouldn't tell a person to not worry about what other people think of them, sometimes the client they are talking so needs to be told gently what things they maybe should do differently in the future. After all, a therapist's job isn't to enable bad behaviour because then they're just failing at their job because they're setting their client up to fail in the future by not teaching them appropriate behaviour and manners. Just telling their clients what they want to hear, well anyone can do that, you don't need a psychology degree to do that. No, actual constructive criticism is what should be applied. I mean, if the client really is just being too hard on themselves, then that's a different story. Then again if they're lying, I don't know. I imagine they can be sussed out if they always have stories about all of the random strangers they keep arguing with. Then again, maybe they just live in Brooklyn where strangers yelling at each other and arguing about things is a normal, everyday occurrence 😆

My 2 friends would always get mad at me when we'd go to this one café restaurant, complaining they wanted to go somewhere else. I have celiac disease, and they knew that and that place was the only place I could eat without worry. So when I said ok we can go elsewhere, I'd just drink something and not eat while they ate. They also got mad at me for not wanting to go to parties and hang out with them often, they lived in the same city and i didn't. I had to take the bus & train to get there. I also had and still have depression, anxiety and social anxiety too, and they knew that too. There were also times when they wanted have a sleepover during the weekend, or something and I was working that weekend. So when I said no, they got really mad at me. Then one day, after working for 9 days straight (i know to some of you that isn't much but to me it was plus my work requires a lot of customer service) they asked if I wanted to come over. I said I've been working for 9 days, I'm so tired I just wanna go to sleep and they said almost unanimously "figured". I left the chat and blocked them in all platforms and haven't spoken or seen them since 2019. They made me feel like I was insignificant, like I didn't matter. What I wanted or felt didn't matter. I also have blonde hair, and the amount of times they would call me stupid because of that went from okay haha funny to not funny at all. Glad I cut those toxic people out of my life. What a rant but that one person cutting ties with their smoking & drinking friends reminded me of myself.

The bug assault does indeed work. It’s my dad’s favorite thing ever he also has the revolver. It’s the best out on the deck since you don’t have to clean up the salt. He said and I quote “ wanna see me merk a fly?” And pulled out the bug assault. 💀

The part about having to watch the dogs annoys me. They never mention who made the decision to adopt these dogs, and some of the behavior they mention sounds like a lack of training. There's a chance that the guy in that relationship didn't even want dogs. Mostly annoys me because it seems like every single household feels like they need a dog, but they never consider the amount of time and attention they need.

I like the term “birth giver.” My mother was a verbal and emotional abusive to me all my life and I finally cut her out of my life 10 years ago. Calling her a mom never sat right, but birth giver, I think is more appropriate a title.

For the build a bear lady, she said herself but she never let him know she was uninterested there was no context provided on how he was creepy it seems like he was led to believe there were romantic intentions because they met after talking, i personally feel like he's not even given a proper chance and she just wasn't attracted to him so she writes him off as creepy. There's that joke floating around that an attractive man can flirt and it's flattering and friendly, but an ugly man says the exact same thing and he's creepy. Sounds like she needed to grow a pair and actually say something instead of ghosting. And to all the women in the comments supporting the ghost, y'all are cowards
