Rick and Rebecca welcome you to JoLee Living. 2020 taught us not to take anything for granted, and we plan to live life to the fullest, savoring the small moments and the big ones. We’ll try new recipes in the kitchen, cook in the wilderness, work with wood or metal, take on a new house project, repurpose or re-use something to keep it from the landfill, paddle board a new lake, practice photography, snowmobile in the mountains or enjoy nature’s beauty.

I have used mortar to fix broken edges and joints of concrete holds up and been holding up for over year any thoughts?
That is just fine. The biggest advantage this mix has is it's ability to hold a slope.
Thanks for the video. I have a color, irregular shaped stamped concrete that just started spalling. Due to color, I can't just apply a patch. How should I approach fixing this?
I have heard that some people do a full topcoat, but I have not done one yet.
Beautiful video. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! It is a beautiful place to visit.
Hi, Rick. Wonderful scene and bells. Years ago I used to watch Swiss Railway Journeys on PBS. The snooty announcer would speak of the SBB and the Davos Line.
Oh, Im jealous!
Wow!
Pretty impressive eh
OOOH! So pretty!
Thanks Hayden!
They are so cute!
Promo-SM 💘
would luv to see whales in their own environment tooo.
I could watch them all day.
they are the prettiest birds - - thanx for sharing your adventures.
thank you! They are pretty amazing!
The puffins are awesome. So cute as they waddle along. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures.
Thank you! They were fun to watch!
I also watched your CNC short. World's fanciest bottle openers. Be sure to give a couple to Mr. Bill's visitors.
not bad for my first cnc project eh!
Very nice Rick. I don't know how I missed this when you published it. Great fun. I really liked the underwater scenes. Voice and editing smooth and well done. Great fun!
That was such a beautiful place to paddle. Thanks for the compilments!
Great underwater shots. Didn't know they had sea urchins.
Surprising amount of sea life for such cool water.
It's nice I love.
Thank you, it has held up nicely.
Great photo and video editing. The part we like best is hearing you share the details of your adventures. Many You Tubers just take pictures but give no explanation of location and when they visited, however, you are doing a great job of being helpful. We like to see camping locations, places to visit, where to eat and know dates when videos were taken. Thank you so much for your dedication to quality content.
Just found your channel and subscribed. You are an awesome narrator. Thank for including dates of travel and where you hiked and camped. We have a small Class C and are in the process of planning our trip to Newfoundland from Texas leaving home in May 2024.
Thank you for subscribing JJ-np5ok! You are welcome on the dates, you definitely get to see us slowly shed layers through the months. Next video will talk about the Bonavista Peninsula, we consider it a must see for those who have time. Hope you have a great trip!!
Great information. Thanks.
Thank you JJ-np5ok!
Oooh!
We will have to make something sometime.
Stamped concrete sucks. Year 2 the settling cracks start. It’s something I will never have done again.
Yes, that is the moral of the story. My repairs have held up, but I have more to do.
nice story about nexviazyme who got suffering pompe disease. i wonder i gonna go st john's canada by having relax at the beach rick.
I have Pompe disease. St John's is a great place.
I’m thinking about if I should carry a inflatable boat with my RV to Newfoundland ? Is there any public boats launch available? Thanks? Boats launch friendly for tourists?
James, most towns have public boat launches/ramps. I may have seen one that wanted a small fee to use, but most are free and not very busy. Yes, most Newfoundlanders are friendly to tourists. Hope you have a great time.

@@joleeliving Thank you!
Thanks for sharing this province. I personally think it’s a government conspiracy the way they market Newfoundland with nothing but rocky coasts. Not that impressive. But there is much more to Newfoundland. Hope you show it. Please no fiddle music if you can help it.
It's a beautiful place at the shore and inland.
2:23 Ooh!! Sheepies!!!
Yeah, they were pretty cute.
Happy Father's day Rick and Rebecca
Thank you Miguel, and the same to you.
Looks like a great trip. We live in Texas and hope to visit Newfoundland in 2024. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! I can't imagine anyone not enjoying a trip to Newfoundland. Hope you have a great time.
Happy monday rick
My family went to go to travel to Colorado on Winter while I’ll traveling in California for Christmas So happy tuesday
It is a fun place visit! Happy Tuesday!
@@joleeliving I know right? But, what is your name I forgot to use that name
I forgot to ask where you got those super dooper snowmobiles. Also, nice scenery.
Got them used on Craigslist !! Yes quite pretty!
I love seeing you having these adventures ❤ How are your muscles with the snow? I sieze up here in the UK but it's the damp that makes it worse here. Keep on keeping on Rick!
This was the first time I went out all season. I was waiting for at least a sunny day near 32 F, but it was a cold spring, so the first time I got out it was 55F or 13 C. We were too warm at times. But, yes the cold slows me down for sure, and I wasn't moving quick to start with ;-)
Thank you for subscribing!!!
Thanks Rick. Beautiful day. I didn't know about sun cups. Pretty bouncy. How do you navigate in the mountains? Putting the snowmobiles back in the trailer looked hazardous. Congratulations and best wishes to Mike on Peace Cirps assignment.
William, thank you! We mostly know the area, but I also have a map on my phone.
That looked fun!
Thanks Hayden, it was!!
Nicely done
Thank you Peter! Do you live in Newfoundland or wish to travel there ?
@@joleeliving got a place in Trepassey
@@peters9459 It's beautiful down that way. Next video will have a few clips from your region.
Great video Thanks!
Thank you, it was a great trip! Do you live in Newfoundland or plan to visit?
@@joleeliving I wanna visits
Such a memorable time!
For sure !!!
So you had a Moose Emergency? Pretty impressive church. That headland you floated past had interesting strike and dip. Puffins always good. The underwater sequence was nice, and good that those fish made good tacos. Cool suspension bridge. Very nice video. You did smooth narration on this one.
Thank you Mr. Handley. The moose just wanted folks to mind there own business ;-)
Did the moose get a speeding ticket?
They let them off with a warning ;-)
Very nice. Boat building museum looks interesting, sunsets and flowers beautiful.
Thank you Mr Handley. I think you would like the boat building museum.
cool
pretty amazing I think !
Just saw this. Made me think of Rocky Horror. Pretty plant though.
Beautiful photos Rebecca! Nice videography too, I can feel the sunshine.
Thank you for the nice comments. Yes, Rebecca takes some nice photo's.
That was lovely!
Thank you Hayden's Wheels. If anyone is reading this check out Hayden's Wheels for some great content. This person has some talent!
We were at Gros Morne in June as well. Took the boat tour you mentioned. Definitely an awesome experience!
It is a great experience! The pictures and videos kind of give you a feeling for it, but in person it is awesome as you say!!
Sorry if you mentioned it and I missed it but at what time of the year were you there? We will be in Newfoundland around the end of May/beginning of June and I’m wondering what to expect weather wise.
We arrived in Newfoundland on May 27 as seen on part 3 of the series kzread.info/dash/bejne/naJ60K6Ik92pnto.html Part 5 was June 14-23. It can be cool, with some warmish days. You'll love it !!
These episodes are so nice and relaxing. :)
Thank you Hayden's Wheels. I keep trying to improve.
I got the waterfall, dinner (yummy), geology (loved the strike and dip at the beach), cool fossils. Very smoothly done. Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you Mr Handley. It is a pretty cool location on our planet.
I know some of those people!! Love seeing these highlights. ❤❤❤
Lovely folks eh !
Cool freshwater fjord!
pretty rare eh? There are a couple of others in the area for the same reason. Thanks for the comment!
Beautiful! How much do you miss it?! Any word about the trash can art?
Right! We miss it. Usually we say wouldn't want to be there now, but we have had more harsh winter here than there. But maybe we have still had more warm days than they have. No responses on the trash can art, but kind of neat, don't you think?
