Great build. Lovely work. Safe travels. What's up on the headliner beside the driver? A flare or some such security?

NONSENSE! It would be a life saver to be keeping fit when all else you’re doing is driving. It would keep you agile and strong to be climbing in and out where other drivers would be getting slow and fat!!😃

Thank you for sharing these facts. Now its real. I always worry if I can trust a new Land Rover Product here in Northern Hemisphere near the north pole where the nearest dealer is around 3,500KMs away. No way. I live near a dealer buy I wouldn’t be able to go on trips as my trips and adventures are usually around 1,300kms A to B. And I was planning to go north but with extreme temperatures like -50°C I can’t trust landrover to get me out in a bad situation. Looks like its gonna be the LandCruiser 250 (prado) for me. Not sure how the hybrid will work in extreme cold but I don’t have much options.

I'd like to see you get off the beaten track Andrew. I followed your route back in the 80s in a Bedford 4 tonner driven from the UK. Everywhere you're going was a dirt road back then - Now, (apart from a little sand in the game parks) it is all tarmac and could be done in a motorhome - or a family car. How about heading into Mozambique? Or up into the Congo? You seem to just like revisiting the same old familiar camp sites and game parks. Where's your sense of adventure?!

I have 2 fold out 120W panels, they come out when I am parked and can supply up to 15 amps (On bad days about 2-3ah) because they are on angle stands. They charge my 60ah thumper power pack and when that is full I charge camera, laptop, 4x camping lights and an auxillary 24ah portable power pack.

Beautiful vehicle but I agree the Gas tank should be bigger and having the bump on your driving floor is very irritating . Still for a totally new SUV it is AMAZING how good they got it not many car companies can do this on there first version. My hat goes off to the engineers/designer/workers you all hit it out of the park.

Always enjoy your content and I've learnt so much watching your vids. I'd personally never send my vehicle back to Snymans because the service that I received was beyond shocking. I found Johann Meyer from JB Auto to be a far friendlier and more knowledgeable individual and he takes fantastic care of my vehicle whenever it goes for a service. I wish you everything of the best on your travels and please keep posting great content 👍🏻👍🏻

Nice one. Many things to like here, so hitting the like button is absolutely no hardship. Be interested to see what difference the Oil Stabiliser makes. I found the Flashlube site and further details. Have you thought of having any oil samples analysed, especially as you’ll be putting a lot more distance on the engine? I’be be interested to see what difference it might make in my high-miler 4WD. Good advice to check the oil ever tank fill. When overlanding I’d check it every morning as part of daily checks. Shame you had to replace the OE jack, or did you get the bottle as an additional one? Many Toyotas came with a very excellent telescopic (non-hydraulic) jack, which I think is far superior to the aftermarket ones. Keen to know about the rails on the outside, too? Could you link to the sliding windows you fitted, please? Also, what’s the red and yellow thing above your door?

I really love these builds. But I hate spending time and cash on these little, special solutions that will sooner or later fail in the field and you end up fixing these needles things at every second camp. Good, basic ride and some stuff from the local outdoor market does it best. 👌
