Dr. Nhi Tran Lee

Dr. Nhi Tran Lee

This channel is dedicated to anyone that has been touched by cancer, whether it is you, your loved ones, or someone you know. A diagnosis with the “C” word can bring on much fear. The purpose of my channel is to give hope and inspiration as you walk with me through my own cancer journey. While I have not fully “healed,” I have experimented on myself with many types of conventional and unconventional treatments that I want to share more about since some of them have helped tremendously. These experiences are mine and are not intended as medical advice as everyone should discuss their treatment plans with their physicians.

I believe cancer is a metabolic disease. We need to find the root cause and heal the terrain with the metabolic approach. We must not only focus on the body, but also the mind and spirit in order to truly get better.

I hope that my experiences including my successes and failures while exploring these options will help at least one person.

I am mostly frugivegan since 5 years ago, when I thought I would die. Intermitent fasting on fruits is amazing and then mostly vegan food. Swimming, too. I take Mebendazole once a week, too. Vitamin C from fruits and vegetables is the best cure for cancer.

Did you look into the method of Thomas Seyfried. In short: all cancer cells have broken mitochondria and they can only use glucose and glutamine for fuel because oxidative phosporylation is broken. Glucose can be lowered with water fasting and metformin. To lower glutamine there is a medicin he uses. After this tumor cells have no fuel or very little. Normal cells can use ketones. Also because of competition normal cells will take most of the glucose left in the blood. All cancerous cells will have a hard time. According to him radiation should never be done for glioblastoma.

@@NhiTranLee Ok great, that is a good path. I understood that tumors become less diffuse and can be debulked better with the metabolic approach. I think that everybody is different, different life situations, etc. Personally, I'm not thankful to my cancer. I agree with you about contributing factors, some patterns, etc, but at the same time kids get sick too. It is a different cancer, may be shouldn't be called cancer from medical point of view, but still. Immune system didn't do the job. Just happened. My personal opinion, it is all about luck.

As a cancer person - survivor? thriver? Patient? Not sure how best to describe myself - who is engaged in a similar off-label protocol, it’s great to see someone in the medical profession using this approach, since it needs to be more broadly legitimized against standard of care orthodoxy. (My oncologist called me a unicorn for as I continue to do fine with the saliva gland mets that have mostly disappeared from my lungs…..taking many of the same drugs, doing it on my own out of pocket.) Best of luck to you, Doctor, as you continue to fight the good fight and be well!

Nice find on yogurt! I'll buy it next time I am at whole foods. It's crazy how most normal yogurt at the grocery is arguably worse than a snickers bar, yet the marketing has tricked people into thinking it is healthy. I also had to give up starbucks. Too much caffeine makes me anxious, which I know is not good for my cancer. Now I brew my own weak [20% strength] coffee, so I can keep my creature comfort of a warm liquid. Consider taking bioperine with your turmeric, as it significantly increases plasma concentrations of curcumin. There's several studies on pubmed. Most of the high quality turmeric supplements also contain bioperine for this reason.

My husband has stage 4 lung cancer, his lungs and his lymphnodes are cleared of cancer but he also has brain metastases, yesterday he suffered so much, he just had his radiotherapy and he was in so much pain. I find it really hard to keep my faith, it's been thinning for a while and now that I saw how God is nowhere to ease my husband's pains, my faith is near to nothing. I am angry at the disease but I am also angry at god for making my husband suffer. I am so tired and I am about to give up.

I’m so sorry to hear that. My heart breaks for him. I know how hard it can be to be in pain and suffering from the treatments and cancer itself. I don’t know what it’s like to be worrying for a loved one and it’s different than being the one with cancer, but I pray for both of you to find the strength to get through the dark days and especially to experience love and peace.

The hospital billed my insurance $8,000 dollars for my PET scan yesterday. I think so far I have spent $10,000 after insurance on MRI, PET and CT and I have not even started treatment. Why don't you talk about how much have you spent and how much they are billing your insurance as a patient and a doctor. What do all your TCM costs? And you drink Starbucks. How much were your surgeries, radiation and chemos. How much have you spent from your savings? Healthcare in the US is definitely broken

I’m sorry to hear you’ve had to spend so much and I used to have to pay a lot when I lived in NY and had a worse health plan. Fortunately for me now I have Kaiser Permanente which is more private and I work for them so my benefits are very good. I don’t have a deductible plan so everything is covered just have to pay copays for visits and scans so it’s not much. I pay out of pocket for all the alternative medicine stuff I do and that’s where I spend my money. I don’t really drink Starbucks maybe once a month when I’m out and like to drink organic coffee from home, it’s cleaner.
