    These are my favorite types of videos. They're informative and give you time to look at the prints and appreciate them. Really hoping you are able to make more of these or another David's choice soon.

    I've definitely heard of worse problems than arriving in a foreign country and having TOO MUCH work. Would be far worse if you had too little, and all of it pretty much self-employed, very impressive

    So it has been that long ... What can I say ... I'm struggling with this on a daily basis, trying to get out from under all the 'fire-fighting', and get back to a sensible schedule of content creation. The list of topics waiting for treatment is as long as my arm. Would it have been better if our business had not become so successful? Due mostly to the KZread content! What a paradox ...

    Wow so david doesn't even consider a spiritual aspect of life at all? Wont even discuss it for the sake of debate? Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but to sum up existence as nothing more than an accident of physics and nature is quite the philosophy of despair and ignores a facet of consciousness present in billions of human beings.

  • @seseragistudio
    @seseragistudio24 күн бұрын

    Each to his own, sir! For me, it wasn't an 'accident' of physics and nature that brought us here, it was a 'process' of physics and nature ... all completely natural and normal. I myself see nothing 'spiritual' in all this!

    In fact Karate originated in Japan. Apparently there was alot of finger wagging happening and it was getting out of control. So rumor has it that the Japanese language was restructured in a way made it almost impossible to vigorously get your point across with or without finger wagging, and Karate was "born". Ok not true... any of it. But Mr. Bull if u see this, i LOVE YOUR VIDS! Especially the unintentional ASMR! Please keep them coming. Btw im in Bilixi, Mississippi. A very, very long way from Japan. THANK YOU!

    I'm not sure, but I think they flattened the paper with a blank woodblock after the typing press; but if it's there needs to be an embossing (sorry if I misspelt that), then they didn't flatten the paper because it would prevent embossing. I think? P.S. Or they carved out all the lettering with on a keyblock?

    I have been following you and your channel for a decade almost now. The videos are few, but it's always a treat. I have been a chibi Patreon from the day of its inception and the beautiful little prints now cover half the wall in my office already and I get to enjoy them every day. My wife and I finally managed to book a flight to Japan again in three weeks and already booked a place in Asakusa and I can't wait to come by Mokuhankan and buy a print myself in person. Also, I just noticed one thing that makes me really happy: Since I started following you almost 10 years ago, you have not aged a day. Not energy, love and excitement for the craft, nor in your appearance in general. Keep it up and hopefully see you soon! :)

    This is driving me crazy! Is the same brush used to apply all the colors? I never see anyone in these videos cleaning the brush, so how are the colors not seen when applying different colors?

  • @seseragistudio
    @seseragistudio2 ай бұрын

    We use a different brush for each colour. They _do_ get washed at the end of the run, but we avoid using each one for a different tone.

    @@seseragistudio Thank you, in your videos it appears you use the same brush. It iis sheer amazement when I see the precise tolerances achieved by the human hand alone.

    I can’t understand how random creation from chaos and dirt which in turn becomes well tuned and perfectly suitable for life makes any sense. The word I hear commonly used is “creation” the word itself implies a Creator, laws of physics implies a law giver…How then did a single cell follow the evolutionary path to create something like a giraffe? If the current iteration of the animal is so precisely made that they don’t have a stroke whenever they put their head down to drink, what was it like for the predecessors? Did half of them instantly die their first time to the watering hole? Random creation from nothing just holds no logic when it is TRULY contemplated.

    So the "Bob Ross" of Japanese Woodblock Printing makes a 1 hour video to make a sick rendition of Demon King Ganondorf from Legend of Zelda. Sometimes, the algorithm just nails it.

    There's nothing better than seeing someone, who is truly wholeheartly passionate about something, sharing info about it. I watch some of your videos fro time to time and it fills me with joy. In a world so full of "everything" and that moves so fast with technology, news, apps, etc... and where people tend to be a little lost about what they like becouse they have too many options out there, it certainly is nice to see someone so passionate, well versed and meticulous about what they love, specialy something so artistic. Thank you so much for sharing, for taking the time to set up the camera and record and for letting us know and learn about a technic that may be difficult to know about living in countries other than Japan. (Excuse my English, I'm a Spanish speaker) Blessings and lots of love from Argentina!
