is there a reason you specialize each shop to one specific item? like jeans/shirts. would you recommend specializing?
I don't have the space to store items horizontally. I have to stack vertically -- boxes and totes on top of each other so I can't use the box system :( and I can't afford the shelving units

quick question carrie, would love your opinion, i have around 900 mens shirts i want to list, have you ever thought of using a ebay lister from fiveer, or using listperfectly to do your listings, they do a virtual listing service for around 70 a month, your opinion would be great thanks.

Damn that stinks about the basement flood. I hope the damage was very minimal and didn't effect a bunch inventory. I currently operate my eBay business out of my garage because the house I bought doesn't have a basement.... just a tiny old dirty crawlspace, so that was never an option. Sure, it took a notable amount of money to convert my bare bones garage into an operating workspace with heating and cooling, but little did I know this was probably a blessing in a disguise. I will never have to worry about leaking pipes or flooding whatsoever. Those types of things could be chatostrphic to my business, and I can not afford to take a risk like that. After seeing these kinds of stories, time and time again, I think my business rule will always be no basements for the business operations... and ideally, single story structures to eliminate the risk of 2nd story water pipes leaking onto inventory.

Holy crap how crazy is this. I put actual measurements in the title. I then include tags and a bunch of photos then in description I tell them the tag says 33 look at flat lay measurements before purchase. Because they are a 31.

This month is the worst I've ever experienced in my full time ebay business. I'm really nervous. I'm tired of blaming myself when I worked harder this month than ever plus free shipping, plus auctions. This is terrifying
Just started watching your videos. I took me a couple of videos to confirm you are in the same region as me. So that's pretty cool to watch you shopping the same stores. I'm surprised you can find any jeans in the regular GW, most of our stores are $15+ for anything of Levi's quality or higher.
I list my stuff with measured size first the put the tag size also in the title, for example "34x29 (Tag 34x32)" If it is obviously hemmed then I also add the word "hemmed" in the title, but if its just shrunk a couple of inches then I just put that in the description section. If its less than 1 inch difference then I just put a statement in the comments that "my measurements show the waist size closer to 31 inches versus the tag size of 32 inches" then they know these are going to be a snug fit.
When i get lucky and get two nearly identical sets of used jeans, I like to experiment and see what changes might make one sell faster than the other. For example when I tried selling one with free shipping versus one with seller paid shipping at the exact same net price to the buyer, the seller paid shipping got twice as many views and sold way faster. I will try your listing title advice next time and see what happens. Right now I like to start with size, then brand then "Jeans" then style then color and then add unique features.

I know this vid was a month ago but I have some questions, I’ve been reselling for a little now but it’s time to get serious. I’m not great at budgeting so when you say 3k in take home pay, how much with that number is going back to the business? Also if I only go sourcing once a week and only have time to take pictures once a week would you recommend I list everything at the same time or just store the pictures to list a couple every day?
so just starting out with things from my closet including clothes, shoes, jewelry but then I have random home things. Is that a bad idea to have home items mixed with closet items? Great video.

Ebay has tanked ever since he left office. I believe big tech hates DT and hates free entrepreneurs. They are crashing business owners on purpose

I am one of those environment people so I will also be hacking the sku stickers/poly bags by buying blank tags and a pricing gun, write the sku on tag, then when it sells covering up with branded sticker. 😌 I’m quite proud of this plastic less solution and feel great about cardboard instead of the plastic bins I have now! 🎉

I think everyone’s eBay store tanked the last few months. They redid the whole promoted listings, whenever they redid something on the site it affects sellers. My personal opinion is that has a lot to do with it.
