Love this video!!! Love you showing the profit on each piece.... that really helps know what to look for. A couple of questions if you don't mind. 1 ~ Do you wash everything before listing? I've never washed them so curious. 2 ~ Do you keep items for a certain length of time and then mark them down? If so, how long how long and then do you do a % off or? I've sold on ebay for years but feel like I'm a storage unit at times. Thanks!

It depends on how much profit you want to make and what the market value is. There are some jeans I wouldn't pay more than $3 on and others that I would spend $20+ on. I try for a $15+ profit margin but some sellers are happy with a $5 profit margin. Hope this helps!

If we average everything we make $13-$16 a pair depending on the week. Selling between 25-30 a day. The smaller profit items can add up quick!
Pro Tip: If you hang your hangers between the floor and the bottom rack of the shopping cart(like directly below handle) they don't get caught on the clothes as you maneuver through the aisles.

HI Carrie What jeans sell for you faster men's or women's? Also, that $600 profit--how long will have to wait until all of those 38 items sell to get that $600 profit? I tried selling jeans and for me did not get too much interest. Since some can be heavy and bulky for storage, we decided to sell other clothing. There must be some tricks that you do that sell these jeans somewhat quickly. Do you find that having a KZread channel increases your sales? Thank you for taking the time to read and respond.

@carrieathome
3 ай бұрын
I guess it depends! If your local Facebook marketplace has enough customers on it and you’re selling as much as you want, there’s no need for ebay. ebay is online and global so it has millions of buyers on it. Bigger buyer base equals more sales. There’s a slight learning curve to sell on ebay but it’s easy to grasp 👍

I don't know about them, but I will only pick up AE jeans if they're really cheap -- like $2-3 or less unless they are bootcut mens. I've got about 50 pairs listed for sale and have sold 25 in the last 90 days. ASP for me is about $25, so I won't spend more than $5 on them.

What is the criterion used to determine the profit margin for each product
@carrieathome
3 ай бұрын
There’s a website called ebay fee calculator that you can use to help determine the profit. Essentially, it’ll take how much you sold the item for plus the shipping you charged, minus what the item cost, what a shipping label cost, ebay fees, and cost of the item. What you have left would be the profit 👍

Clothing is the one of the most over saturated categories. eBay is going to take 15% plus a FNVF. A $30 pair of jeans will net you $10 profit if you get a return your profit is gone. Where are you sold on all these cloths? Project profit is not a tangible metric. So sick of seeing these goodwill videos. Goodwill is overpriced trash. You just tied upped $200 on long tail items with a high return rate. Unless you plan on having 10,000 listings in cloths your in for a wake up call.
