It's just moonbeam but worse ain't it? The damage radius and dice are exactly the same for no real upside. Like yeah, it lasts 10x as long but no fight lasts that long. You can't just leave it in a spot to burn a restrained enemy every turn for no action. You can't get more procs by knocking enemies in and out of it, and it can't be used in places with low ceilings.

Additionally this house alongside the house of Dust is supporting a revolution known as “The Ungratefuls” behind closed doors. Currently this support is coming in through blockade runners that are delivering food, water and medicines to the revolutionaries who have managed to overthrow the planet side government and are actively forming a republic of their own. Also I can’t wait for you to cover “The Ungratefuls” because they are such an awesome faction in the Karakin lore.

Also just to help people understand how the house of dust feels about the rest of the Trade Baronees, they are supporting an open revolt on a House of Stone world that has successfully over thrown the planet side government (also with the help every of Horus cell acting in Karakin space) and are now standing off in a cease fire against the majority of the House of Stone fleet that is blockading this world. So yeah these guys and another republic house don’t really like the Monarchy styles houses.

IPS engineer: "so people thint we invented the Leviathan for the drake, but here a little known fact for you, we didn't invent it, we simply found the blueprints for an old earth jet one day that had this beast bolted onto it (kind weird, some documents called it a thunderbolt, others called it a warthog), it was call an avenger autocannon and brother, let me tell you, it ate tanks like a wood chipper eats twigs, so we just updated it ammunition, threw it onto the drake, and now a days, well......... lets just say it aint a picky eater

Imagine contingency alter self every time you Teleport/misty step etc... you steal/assanate in plane site and escape without a problem. Take out a guard and alter self as this guard to infiltrate. Alter self to do something nusty, misty step and drop concentration. Alter self, use friends spell and leave without making a mortal enemy 😂 Sky is the limit with this spell

In my world teleportation circles are managed by the Mages Association which is an organization that determines what is and what isn’t allowed when it comes to magic. The only permanent teleportation circles are at each branch of the association and it is forbidden for a mage to create one elsewhere unless given permission. A mage who is caught doing so without permission is severely punished most often the punishment for severe crimes being the feeblemind spell. Additionally, these circles are reserved for use my affiliates of the association only with exceptions for delivering aid during times of crisis. This rule is put into place to ensure the circles cannot be used to create any trade monopolies which could cause the hoarding of wealth by already wealthy merchant companies or nations. As to how they ensure no unsavory folk use the circles, they are kept under a semipermanent anti magic field which is lifted only when an authorized user uses the message spell to communicate their planned arrival beforehand. And even then, there are numerous guards in place to ensure that if an authorized user were to betray the organization and bring an army in, there’d be people to respond to such a threat.

I have a question... What exactly are the Lancers? I am really only getting lore from this guy with how little I have time to read but like.... Are Lancers Mercenaries? Why do some Lancers working in squads or groups or whatever they are called make use of different manufacturers? Is it like in DnD how a Bard, Paladin, Warlock and Wizard could all work together?

Lancers are an elite class of mech pilot. Separated and more proficient in nearly all aspects related to their mechs (combat, design, piloting). "Lancer" itself is popular Union slang for this type of pilot. "Kavalieres" is the Karrakin name for them with other regions likely having local variations. The book also keeps it purposely vague on what separates a Lancer from a normal pilot outside of skill. In any case, Lancers are noted as a significant investment and rarity that certain illegal cloning practices are seen as worth it. I've got my own explanation tying it to neural bridges and First Contact Accords. In the book though, it can also just be training and aptitude. Large enough door left there. In utilizing different manufacturers, yes. The parts and licenses don't need to be aligned to specific faction ties (they can be and are lightly implied). They are products after all.

I didn't know nearly anything about Lancer before it and I was shared your series and watched nearly all of it so far!

I've recently come across DC20. It's still in the beta stage butit balances out Martial and Spellcasting classes, and imo does it right.

evil GMs can totally use this against the players. set up a emplaced position with a barbarossa sitting in the back, other mechs sally out to slow down the players. can they punch through and destroy the big boy before he finishes charging?

Unless it's mentioned in one of the books by Massif, personally, I'm gonna say that the calendula was something tested and successful by the KTB and Ra did a "that looks nice, I'm gonna copy that tech."
