I've been using pi-hole and have a huge amount of ads blocked and I hope to add more based on what wireshark shows. Trying to get ads gone on my smart tv is a bit more difficult since I can't use this there. I would love to see more info on using wireshark.

Yeah i noticed my old pc was running very slow and checked EVERYTHING and figured out it was Valorant running all these things in the background even though im not even playing it i uninstalled it right away and flagged it as malware and a "legal" virus.
I have League of Legends opened while watching this and it suddenly muted your video and I couldn't turn the sound back on. I had to close the tab and reopen the video.
so it's working...
just need to ignore their games

I want to complement here that Valorant also doesn't works in windows 11, Cause Windows 11 needs the TPM technology in order to protect your computer; I mean the The Vanguard application needs the tpm shift in order to work also the w11 in the first versions. but idk what to think, cause I once make the valorant works in a windows 11 computer that doesn't have the TPM chip, by manipulating the Vanguard application

no, Vanguard blocks VMs, because it's trivial to manipulate a VM from the host, invisible to any anti-cheat within it.

there was something weird about the fact that Vanguard anti-cheat was announced on Riot's anniversary when they announced the game. they didn't spend a ton of time on the game overall, the beta wouldn't launch for a few months, and they decided to spend that time announcing... a new anti-cheat? they really wanted you to know it was a *really* good anti-cheat, and showcased how it would put a huge "game terminated" screen if it detected a cheater, and everyone was like why?
Its because most popular fps have tons of cheater and its annoying, so by announcing that its really good its selling the game has being more cheater free than others

It's less about the spying but more about the massive potential danger in case it gets hacked. Say goodbye to your PC because if hackers gain access they will definitely use it to put ransomware on your PC. It opens the possibility to put ransomware on millions of PCs at once. It's a hackers wet dream.
I recommend people to stay away from Guardio. They are really sketchy and employ scare tactics to try to make you pay. Like the ones McCafee and Norton use. Bit sad that a channel about security promotes this but you can't refuse easy money i guess. Basically dont trust any KZreadrs when they talk about a sponsor, it's either a scam or some overpriced useless thing.

So we're not cool with Vanguard But we're cool with all the other stuff that is running 24/7? Permanent connection with Microsoft servers, Google servers, maybe some anti virus system servers, you have Steam running, maybe Epic Games, Discord, your internet provider, your VPN, etc The only difference in data collection is who is collecting it Tencent, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Kaspersky, maybe the NSA, CIA, Interpol, FSB, etc And then they sell it to some ad companies and suddenly you get banner ads about things you searched online or talked about If someone wants to collect your data, they will collect it, tray icon or not

I disable Vangurad from startup app menu. Now it doesn't show up in window tray. It is obvious running but why isnt is showing up.

Riot's intentions are very clear here; I have seen maybe two hackers in League in the last 5 years, and nobody complains about it anymore. It's insanely obvious if someone is cheating, and when everyone reports them they will be banned. Their only reason for making us install this is to gain access to our PC
