How do you find the cm? Do you use a ruler to find the height in the original copy and then in the new copy? I’m a bit confused, sorry.
@LandofMath25 күн бұрын
If you don’t know the measurements of two objects you would need to measure to find the dimensions. Then you can find the scale factor (assuming the objects are similar). In my example I gave you the dimensions to make it a bit easier. Hope this helps/makes sense.

The value is not greater than the number you're dividing by correct? The answer is simply how many decimals add up to make the original value.

Yes. This is a great way of summing this up.

I mean getting a 0 will skew your grade heavily especially since it's a test, but that depends on how much tests are weighted.
@LandofMath8 ай бұрын
True. To make the example easy to follow I just treated each assignment as if it had equal value. Most teachers weigh test, reports and/or projects more so a zero on one of these would have an even greater impact.

How do you prevent the needle part from poking a hole in your drawing please?
@LandofMath Жыл бұрын
You would probably need to draw the circle on a really hard surface with no papers underneath your drawing. That way the point wouldn't be able poke through. Also, be very gentle with the compass. The lighter you push down the less likely it will go through. Hope this helps. Normally when I draw circles I'm not doing anything fancy so I don't worry about the hole, but I understand if this is a work of art you would not want a hole in the middle of your drawing. Best of Luck

@@LandofMath Thanks so much! I got a fancy Staedtler drafting compass and the needle is as sharp as a sewing needle--keeps poking holes in my work and my drafting table. Tried lots of things, nothing works.
