Project Based Learning: The Process behind the Cereal Box Project

For over a decade the Cereal Box Project has been a favorite. In this video we show an example of creating a Project. This includes: 1) Brainstorming 2) Working around potential problems (reverse engineering) 3) Building a prototypes and finally 4) Making the actual Project.
The nice thing about a project like this is the Flexibility. We don't allow students make a basic Triangular or Rectangular Prisms, but you could based on the students ability. We usually extend this project by having students: Calculate the Volume and Surface Area, Make Scale Drawings and diagram the Net. But their are many other ways to extend this Project based on time and students ability.
