Two much CGI. But worse then the look is the complete miss in storytelling. Most films today are just dumb, lazy remakes or memberberries of better Originals

Lenses and framing all add up to that authenticity, sure, but i wish more productions would use film emulation in their grades, that alone goes a long way and seems pretty tricial to do, I dont know why its not done more often than not. It can make a cheap direct to streaming movie/show look classic and higher budget, so why not?

I get adobe suite for $20 a month as a student, but I started using Davinci before I got suite and I still love it. I have the free version though so I can’t use all the features. It basically boils down to what videos you are making. If you are making basic gaming videos or regular vids the only need basic motion graphics and effects then Davinci is great for being free. If you are a student and want to make more higher end content with more features and effects, it might be worth getting suite as it comes with photoshop, after effects, premier pro, illustrator and other stuff that can help you create whatever you wanna make. I make lower end content right now so I use Davinci, but I am definitely pursuing a better understanding of adobe so I can make higher end content.

    1. With today’s smartphones you don’t need a gimbal. I literally dumped my bulky gimbal. 2. You don’t need extra lenses. If possible shoot in the golden hours and that will allow you to get great cinematic footage.

CGI folks suck at materials in substance painter and blender. Grungy and slightly scratched materials are easy af to make, no idea why they love this latex porn clean look.

The video was rather repetitive, reused shots aside. I understood the point much before the several examples presented and points restated.

I personally find this kinda silly and unnecessary for something like this. Nicer video cameras such as the fx3 have such good autofocus tracking it’s dumb to do manual. I do find it essential for interview style shots or preplanned filmmaking though. But for run and gun content especially for social media it’s not necessary
