    We just set up our new fh255 heat pump but the fan will not start? What could be causing this?

    If the FH120 model is available, go with that. The FH135 model isn’t as good. It’s a downgrade. I have both. The 120 version heats better than the 135 on colder days and nights. If you have elderly or kids and want to extend your season. Go with the 120 model.

  • @Fibropool

    Hey Piotr, our previous generation of heat pumps aren't reprogrammable, so switching between F and C would require you to physically change the display. If you'd like, you can open a support ticket with us on our website and we can get one sent out to you ASAP.

    Great video and great product. 1 note - the video doesn't cover the spring mechanism of the idler pulley. Was happy to see parts were in the kit. You just have to take off the bottom side to install it. Would recommend doing it before doing everything else in this video.

    How long does it take for the heat to reach the desired temperature. I just bought one of these and had it on for at least 10 hours, and it is basically the temperature of the pool. Only went up about 2 degrees.

  • @Fibropool
    @Fibropool22 күн бұрын

    Hey Rohan, the performance will depend on several factors (temperature, humidity, pool size, cover). After a new install, we recommend owners run the unit nonstop until they hit their desired temperature. Usually this will take around 2-3 days. A solid or liquid cover will go a long way to improving efficiency though. Anything to slow evaporation from the surface of your pool.

    @Fibropool pretty warm temps today in NY. My heater shut off and it's not cutting back on after the temperature has dropped below the desired heat set. Do you have any idea what wrong? I tried turning off and thr fan still doesn't kick back on

  • @Fibropool
    @Fibropool20 күн бұрын

    How far below the set temperature is the water temperature dropping? For the sake of efficiency, our heaters only kick on after the pool temperature drops 4 degrees below the set temperature on the thermostat, otherwise they'd be kicking back on constantly. If the water is more than 4 degrees cooler than the set temperature, then I'll need to connect you with one of our techs so they can walk through your settings to ensure everything is set properly.

    What if my pressure gauge is at 3.7 mpa, is that a problem?

  • @Fibropool
    @Fibropool19 күн бұрын

    Yes that's a problem. My first guess is that your heater isn't getting enough water flow to collect heat from your unit, so it's building pressure inside. Could be either an underpowered pump or a bypass that's not open enough (if you have one). You may be sending just enough water to not trip the flow switch.

  • @Fibropool
    @Fibropool19 күн бұрын

    Check the back of the cleaner, the newer Polaris models have the serial number printed on a sticker. The older models have the serial numbers stamped/molded onto them. If the serial number starts with a “K” it will be a 380, if it starts with “C” it will be a 280, if it starts with a “L” it will be a 360.

    This is soo wrong. Where is the one way value for the heater return. In this config you are still going to feed the heater when you bypass the heater only in reverse way. Come on guys. People are going to follow your video and should not be this bad. Also, there should be a one way valve just before the salt generator.

  • @Fibropool
    @Fibropool8 ай бұрын

    When you have a situation like this with gravity drawing water away from the heat pump and salt generator, those are good points but not strictly required. Still, there is nothing wrong with adding those valves in this situation, and we do generally recommend including them, if possible. Thanks for the comment!

  • @peppy.kay11
    @peppy.kay11Ай бұрын

    Thanks for this comment! Unfortunately, I didn't read it before I set everything up. So now I'm going to have to adjust and add a one-way valve to the heater line that feeds to the Tee. Would a one-way check valve for sump pump work? Or is there something else I need to get?

    Dude, I really appreciate this video. You are what makes the Internet great. I would tell the kids to be proud of you! While I didn't find the answer in your video, I found it because of your video. I was trying to get the floats on the rope, but there was no way to get them them through by pushing, or by tying some weed whacker cord and pulling it through. What I figured out (could be really slow) is that I could take the float apart and feed it through each part with more ease. It was the white one in the middle with the narrow hole that was the issue. I cut the end of the rope, reburned it to more of a point, and finally got it together. I asked the seller since it was supposed to be assembled, but they told me to ask the mfr, which I couldn't find. So much for that seller. I somehow thought the plastic piece with the point was used to fish the rope... So I hope this helps someone like me.

    It would be nice if everything went as smooth as these videos. I've got one stubborn screw securing one of the wheels that won't come out. Check the snugness of the wheels. Take the top off and assemble everything including the hose. The dip in the pool and start your booster pump. Things are much more visible this way. The most common problem is making the wheels too tight. You would have to loosen up the phillips screws that hold the axle blocks and allow the wheels a little more tolerance
