Rebuilding your Polaris is one of the easiest ways to save money on swimming pool maintenance. The assembly can be a little daunting if you haven't done it before though, so we'll guide you through the process step by step. For this video, we're using our FibroPool branded kit for the rebuild, but this should also work as a guide for any wearable component swap you need.

Thank you! This video helped me replace my feed pipe and get the tail reattached.
Great video and great product. 1 note - the video doesn't cover the spring mechanism of the idler pulley. Was happy to see parts were in the kit. You just have to take off the bottom side to install it. Would recommend doing it before doing everything else in this video.
Easy to follow instructions. I refurbed my Polaris 280. You saved me several hundred dollars since I didn't have to buy a new unit.
First time pool owner here. I couldn’t figure out why WALL-E (kids named it after the trash cleaning robot in the Disney movie) kept getting stuck and wouldn’t move when it came to a stair or semi-vertical wall, but not knowing much about pools and cleaner robots I figured it was normal. The rubber coating on the wheel came off so I started looking at rebuild kits and ordered one from your company. With Prime I received it in one day and your EXCELLENT video made it very easy to follow along and install the new parts. Now WALL-E jumps up on the steps to clean them and “carves the walls” like a skateboarder on speed! Thanks again for making this video and having an all-in-one maintenance kit.
Craig, thank you sir...I have rebuilt my Polaris 280 a few times. Before no problem, but now it has decided not to move. This video is very helpful and I am going to go back and troubleshoot. I believe that I don't have enough tension on the drive wheels. And I am not sure I would have caught that without this video. Again, thanks
I am so grateful for this very easy-to-follow video! You made everything very clear and right to the point. Just excellent - THANK YOU!
Got my kit in the mail and just finished the rebuild. The Polaris is running smoothly and doing its job. This video helped me to understand how to dismantle and rebuild. Thank you. S Randall
Really GREAT video of how to install the rebuild kit. I purchased this kit based on having seen the video first, and just installed it today with no problems. The Polaris is working like new again!
Just ordered a repair kit from your company and watched this video. So now I’m ready to rehab my unit. I’ll report back when I get installation done which will be next week. Many thanks and I think using a black Polaris as a demo tool is brilliant. Made it easy for me to understand. S Randall
Thanks so much! I just got the kit and installed it on my Polaris and it's running perfectly again. This is about the 4th rebuild I've done but the video was great to follow and the parts were perfect and much cheaper than our local pool store!
Bought your kit and installed it using your video. Great kit and the best instructional video I've ever seen on KZread. Nice job👍
Finished the kit install today. This video is perfect. Installation and troubleshooting information is spot on. And the replacement parts in the kit work great.
Just excellent. Very easy to follow. I watched another that made the process look complex. This was great! Good teacher!
Great video! Tuning up my 280 this weekend. Happy 4th! Saol!
Excellent teaching. The only issue I’ll point out is that I would not use a power drill screw driver. It’s too easy to strip the threads on plastic parts. Yes, a screwdriver takes longer, but you’ll have more control compared to the electric drill.
Great video!
Really great video.
Thank you, will buy new kit and follow your video. Great video by the way. YDO 97 GV
Excellent video - thanks!
Great video.
Keep the tail rings for rotation you can greatly extend the life of the tail.
You don't cover the idler assembly install that comes with the kits
Got this kit followed the instruction sheet, at the end it references this video. Had I watched this I would have saved time because of the settings of the rear wheel is not in the written information.
Yeah, I’ve done several times and it wheels aren’t turning!! It just stands there!!🤬🤷🏾♂️
How do you repair small wheel parts. I was also given a spring to my parts
How do I how can I find out which Polaris model that I have? I'm not sure I have the 280...

Check the back of the cleaner, the newer Polaris models have the serial number printed on a sticker. The older models have the serial numbers stamped/molded onto them. If the serial number starts with a “K” it will be a 380, if it starts with “C” it will be a 280, if it starts with a “L” it will be a 360.
Our Polaris pool cleaner roams around the deep end but won't come up to the shallow end? It works its way up toward the shallow end but insatiably turns and heads across the width of the pool and back down to the deep end. On the bright side, the deep end is clean? Any suggestions?

when a Polaris hangs around the deep end, it is usually an issue with the tail adjustment. please check the following: 1. Make sure te screen in the wall fitting is clean. 2. reduce the water flow to the tail ( the big stainless screw on the tail fitting), to make sure the tail just moves left and right, lightly, not vigorously. 3. turn the directional jet straight out and slightly toward bottom( 6 oclock) position. Normal position of the jet is 7 oclock, all the way down, but try it between 6 and 7 oclock. This will reduce circling. Please give feedback here, we can follow up.
It would be nice if everything went as smooth as these videos. I've got one stubborn screw securing one of the wheels that won't come out. The head is pretty reamed out so a screwdriver won't work. I had to cut the wheel off with a hacksaw blade and now I'm trying to loosed the screw by gripping it with pliers. Does anyone know if I can get a replacement screw?

Its a simple stainless steel screw and a non locking nut. Make sure to get a star washer to snug it up. Any hardware store will have these
The small wheel was stuck and not so easy to get off. The plastic piece connected by the spring broke. Is it replaceable?

The part that is in question is called "swing Axle" basically you will need a swing axle kit and a tube of superglue to fix it. They are flimsy, kind of bad design, but necessary for the operation of the cleaner. you will scrape off the old Bridge, and place the axle in position and superglue the bridge.

Fibropool thank you
I completed the rebuild on my Polaris 280. The Wheel on the side by itself keeps coming unscrewed and falling off?

David, i had my warehouse sent you another complete wheel. In the meantime wrap a little teflon tape on the screw. That should stabilize it

Check the snugness of the wheels. Take the top off and assemble everything including the hose. The dip in the pool and start your booster pump. Things are much more visible this way. The most common problem is making the wheels too tight. You would have to loosen up the phillips screws that hold the axle blocks and allow the wheels a little more tolerance
