    Anyone knows if you can use the 2016 body (or just the face with the lights) on the older bike (2014) ?

    My repair instructions say to torque it down 40nm first then slacken it off and torque to 15nm.

    I noticed on my s1000r there is a gap between the bottom of the yolk and those castle nuts (steering bearing nuts). Is your flush with the yolk?

    Hi, long shot here since this is a old youtube video, what is the purpose of the second nut? what happens if i replace the rubber washer with a metal washer and torque the top nut so it stops the bottom nut from coming loose, my headstem threads are damaged and I was thinking of using the second nut which sits on the good threads to tighten it harder to stop the bottom nut from skipping threads as they're damaged, missing threads but still torques down. bumps from the road knock it loose over time

    @@antownemercer7552 why? did you ride 2023 and prefer 18? i had a ride on 23 rr few days ago and it was blast, altho i want 16 just because of cosmetic look also tried m1000r 23 and its way more comfortable and as fun and made me doubt if i should go with sport again lol

  • @antownemercer7552
    @antownemercer755210 ай бұрын

    No the dealer did not allow test rides. When i sat on both the 18rr was more comfortable. The 23rr had way more gadgets and quality was on point. The 18rr was over 4k cheaper and that was what edged me closer to the 18rr. If money wasn't an issue i would definitely lean towards the 23rr. However i did not purchase either. I'm waiting for the winter months to see if i can get a better deal since bikes are out of season and the price tag drops a little.

    How does it compare to your S1000RR? Thank you

  • @Moreflying1
    @Moreflying12 жыл бұрын

    Stock to stock the S1000RR is stronger on the top end. The R1 feels lighter on the tip in, quick flick and drive out of the corner. The BMW is a brute of an engine though. Having said that, if find myself up in the mountains more on the R1. I just like the handling better all round in the tight/technical.

  • @EEEBA1
    @EEEBA12 жыл бұрын

    @@Moreflying1 Awesome! I was just deciding between the R1 and the S1000RR. I ended up with the BMW. And I love everything about the bike except the rear shock... Almost every bump on the road my rear goes up of the seat, I guess it's way too hard in the back.
