I always say. Mistakes are opportunities to try something would not have tried otherwise. M. Tutcik
I’ve been drawing on paper and cutting them into thin and thick strips. I use parts of them up to make all types of pieces!
Very nice!
I'm in love with the layers! Thank you so much for sharing your process. I have some new ideas to experiment with now.
I love to hear it!
Absolute rubbish
Are you using oil or acrylic paint
I use acrylics
all those broken links ...
What a fabulous video!
Lovely this. Are you using a large flat brush?
Yes
An abandoned house had a moldy wall just like that!
Appreciate the engagement! It helps boost my work so more people can see it!
If you slow down a bit, ok, that’s it.
Brilliant- If it’s a bit thick do you add water of gloss?
I stumbled on your channel last night at midnight- so glad!!
Great! What red colour is that??
I usually use a base of cad red and then mix as I go
This is great thankyou. How can you know if the colour combination works if I’m really not sure if I have good judgement or not?
The best way to do it is just to do it! Don't worry about whether it looks good to someone else, just get used to what works for you.
Thank you!
👍
Hi Adele, good job. What is the canvas size? TY
Hello does anyone know the background music? I used to play this on piano but I forgot the name of the piece! Thanks
Hi Adele, I haven't seen you post on KZread for a few weeks. Is everything okay? Just checking in. I miss your videos.
Hi Lorraine! Everything is great, just really busy! I have an Academy with a subscription and that gets priority for weekly content, when I am able to I do love to post on KZread and hope to do more of that soon. Appreciate you checking in!
What's the base color, brown acrylic with water or with furniture varnish...or is it with turpentine?
Base is raw umber
I want to see where you go with this❓ where can I find it?
I didn't finish this one online- if you join my Academy you can get weekly videos that walk you through entire pieces. I post to KZread a little less frequently, for fun!
can you please share what media you used to create this? beautiful!!!!
brushes, acrylic paint, and canvas! Sometimes I like to use cut up paper for collage.
I recommend the Art Academy! I’ve learned so much!
Nice
I love this painting. I love all the nuisances and the visual interest it invokes. So much about it catches the eye. The blue added in the end was really cool. Funny how one touch can complete a very well done creation. Not an artist, but I'd definitely try to paint this. Even though it's not as easy as it looks. Thanks for the quick lesson, you're a great artist & teacher~ : - )
It sure sounds like you've got an artist in there somewhere! You know exactly what to look for and what speaks to you. That's a great place to start! I hope you give it a whirl, it can be fun and easy to paint abstract art and I bet you'll be great at it.
I am new to abstract art. i hope to enjoy it😊😊.i found your channel i learn things!!
I am here for you!
Did you use watercolor paper???
Yes I often use watercolor paper because it's a bit heavier.
What else can i use except from oil pen?
Anything you like!
Thanks!!!
Great idea ❤❤❤
Thanks!
Thenk you. This is so helpful! ❤
I use these and they are wonderful for the price. I wouldn’t say they are fluid. They’re in between fluid and heavy body. Lately I’ve been trying out Sennelier Abstract paints in the 4 oz packets. About the same price as Nova when purchased on Amazon because it f the shipping savings.
Oh nice!
I'm a new subcriber. You lured me in!
Love that! Welcome in
I have a question. Do you sometimes struggle with the decisions you make? Or even more drastically, do you sometimes hate your pictures? And if so, how do you deal with it?
I think I am too impatient and have too little confidence in my approach. Probably because I haven't really found my own approach yet. Too many possibilities!
@@user-un5hx9vu7m I don't usually have pieces that I absolutely hate, but I do have some that I'm not happy with. So I put them away and then I rework them when I feel called to do so. I guess I make so much art that I don't worry too much about what it looks like at the end- if I get stuck I have many tricks to get unstuck! My motto is just keep moving. It's more about accepting that I will have a fear response but that it's not a big deal. Just part of the process! I hope that helps.
Wow. I really like your Brushes!
thanks for the ideas.
Always!
Great ideas!
Thanks a bunch!!
Really enjoyed this, thanks so much!
It was so fun to make, glad it was fun to watch!
@@AdeleSypesteynStudio Definitely! Very inspiring :O)

Thank you 🌼
I’ve really enjoyed your videos and have learned so much - thank you! I’d like to attempt a really large canvas painting but I’m not sure what paints to buy that would be of good quality but also the most cost effective. (You’ve mentioned that you buy gallons of white paint - what brand, etc.?) Thank you again for your great instruction!
You can get started with any kind of paint, but I like to use Golden brand just because I am used to working with them. It really doesn't matter what brand or type you use, you will find the best kind for you as you work with the paints. You'll do great!!

I love you ❤❤❤
💚💚💚🌺🌺🌺
Thanks🎉
Book binding please.-😅
You are so clever! Am making some of the Art Books right now - and seeing these ideas is such fun - but you make it look easier than it is!
I create a process for everything that simplifies what I have to do, because I HATE complicated! Simplify simplify simplify! And have fun, that's my motto!
Thank you for sharing your talents and gifts!
You're so welcome!

I know this is an old post but just had to leave a comment: I LOVe where you took your painting with Twombly as your inspiration. Did you ever do a series? Really inspiring! Thank you for sharing your process.
I haven't done a series dedicated to Twombly yet, but that's a great idea!
😊
