  The Dreaming has all the bits of genius in a raw form that Kate Bush was able to integrate in later projects that were recieved and successful commercially. You can see she recognizes her own powers in it, and I think it has been observed by reviewers as being important in her evolution as an artist.

  I never liked her music, though I could see she had a potentially good boice and was creative, and attractive enough, just not appealing to me, but my then husband liked her. I asked him why one dsy when he dubjected me to listening to her CD he'd just bought. 'She'd make a great housewife' was his bizarre reply, which sounded insane to me, but he often made such bizarre comments, as she was still a young single performer. 'Try your luck with her, I'd be delighted if she accepred you, so I could easily be rid of you' I replied as Kate continued singing in that screechy, witchy sounding voice, which I concede, does seem to have a certain effect on some people. but c the only effect it had on me was annoyance. I could get the same feeling by turning on certain kitchen appliances or from watching kids torture domestic pets, like cats etc, or evrn listening to stray cats doing their mating rituals, howling and screeching atc4am. Has the same bewitching quality as Kate's voice has on me. But despite my personal opinion, she does hav e ability.

  i didnt use to get that "mystical" and enchanting vibe from KB (thats not to say she wasn't among my best all time artists) until i fell asleep to a couple of her songs and experienced a scary f'n sleep paralysis

  Love to hear her and the band live. I wish there was more available. Her voice is raw but beautiful, I love hearing the mic pop with her breath. Just incredible.
