She really looks like she was having fun during this performance. Sadly, I think that doesn't hold for most of her performances from this era and later on.

I wonder what Kate would've done in concerts, because she literaly shaped the way we see concerts today, even the mic on the head was invented by her, she was far away from her time. We'll never know... 😐

There are videos from her 1979 tour. She didn't quite invent the wireless mic - that was the Spotnicks from Sweden - but no one else used it so extensively before her.

Thanks for sharing ,Kate looked so beautiful in this video .That must have been a nightmare to lip sync that especially towards the end .....loved the volcano also :)

You know...after all the negative talk about Kate not performing at the Olympic closing....1985 was a fantastic year, she literally flew around the whole world to promote Hounds of Love. Europe, UK, USA, Canada, etc. etc. Didn't we get the best of Kate back than ?

I just love her. The Marcel Proust of pop music.

I have a bunch of photographs of Kate, taken by someone in the adience....they said she also performed Cloudbusting at that tv show. Peter's pop show was very famous in Germany. It's kinda like TOTP but with a much lager adience. Don't know if it's still running in Germany. There's a retail DVD of the whole show, which sometimes is offered as a Torrent on the internet.

Audio is from recording. Instruments aren't even plugged in. Just like in the olden days.

The thing is the message behind the song, that she was trying to get out. The sky is changing, they have been geo engineering increasingly since the 80s. Mainly through planes, HAARP, cloudseeding etc. Cloudbusting touched on efforts to make it rain. The official video makes it clearer, all countries are doing it, the references to planes, spraying, climate, downfall of travel. She was definitely in the know. Nearly 40 years later we are nearly there at the end of the road.

of cause ''it sounds to 80's'' .. hounds of love was part of the 80's and this is part of that era of that sound that it came into,but it was still head and shoulders above what came out also in that period and held its ground against other great albums from that era,and still does to this day, I listen more to "the ninth wave'' side than the ''hounds of love'' side,.. Fantastic album from a period I hated and loved too
